honestly, there isn't a more damning argument against the claim that market forces inherently breed innovation than the state of film and television rn. market cap incentivizes safe bets, and those bets don't stay safe forever.
~smart~ refrigerators existing at all argues something similar. that's not innovative! it's bizarre, expensive, and gaudy!

So if you were brought into the mha universe with your age regressed to fit the story, what 3 quirks would you pick? For clarification: You can only have one emitter, transformation, and mutant quirk. You know how to use them and can use them simultaneously. You won’t have any negatives for having multiple quirks. Clones and double versions can use the quirks. You are fluent in Japanese as well as any languages you know and any ailments you have aren’t present. You have all the MHA knowledge.
Oh, this is a fun one. Thank you for adding all those conditions and clarifications. This was actually a difficult question to answer because I had a lot of ideas and combinations I really liked. For the sake of this, I will be covering all of the big ideas I had with it. And while the primary criteria will by their synergy, I will be considering how these powers look as well. Having three totally unrelated powers is going to raise a lot of questions, so having something I could reasonably fit under one power would help.
Howler: Voice, Beast, Dog: This doesn't have the best synergy, aside from stacking the physical abilities of "Dog" and "Beast" and potentially using that to augment "Voice", but it was too perfect of a combination to pass up. A werewolf form with a supersonic howl that can become an even more dangerous werewolf? How could I pass that up?
Arsenal: Homing, Rifle, Gatling: "Rifle" and "Homing" have some great synergy, guaranteeing hits with the powerful and long ranged gun could be extremely useful. And I considered "Zoom" and "Extend-o-Hair", but I picked "Gatling". "Gatling" works well with "Homing", covers what "Rifle" can't, and could have some fusion potential with "Rifle".
Druid: Mushroom, Arbor, Vines: Having all these plant-like Quirks around is bound to have plenty of synergy, they could all fit together as one power and are all solid Quirks in their own right. I'm especially curious to see how the spores of "Mushroom" could be used with "Arbor" and "Vines". Sure, I'm super allergic to fire, but it's a good combination none the less.
Shifter: Overclock, Transforming Arms, High Spec: The big pair of these is "Overclock" and "High Spec". The greater power of "High Spec" could counter the brain drain issue, while "Overclock" could give you more time and room to apply your mental abilities. Combine that with the sheer variety of "Transforming Arms", fit it under Body Control, and you have an amazing combo.
Menagerie: Clones, Manifest, Food: "Food" and "Manifest" have a lot of synergy, greatly expanding what I could eat and manifest, but I think that it could have some fun uses with "Clones". On top of giving this combination some utility, I think that you could spread off the various combinations of "Manifest" onto other clones, greatly expanding their options and staying power.
Biolab: Overhaul, Meatball, Super Regeneration: Easily the most unfair combination, but if my goal is to make it through and make a difference, then I'll need all the help I can get. I've already discussed the merits of "Meatball" and "Super Regeneration" together, but being able to apply all of that with "Overhaul" is what makes it so dangerous. Between the regeneration and the sheer control I have, I'm going to make Kaiju Overhaul look like a joke. And that's not even mentioning everything I could do to other people.
