A bit delayed, but the group portrait of the Tal'Dorei Council, my piece for @artists-guild-of-exandria Tourist's Guide to Taldorei, IS DONE!!!
From left to right: Elderbern Cleareyes, Odessa Tal'Dorei, Kel'jaia Uleoh, Brom Goldhand, Allura Vysoren, Syldor Vessar, Tofor Brotoras, Keyleth of the Air Ashari, Lady Vex'ahlia de Rolo and Dierdrik Greyspine.
This took forever but I'm really happy with the result and I hope you all like it!

God I'm such a nerd for being able to recognize every character depicted here in this panel from the most recent Vox Machina Origins comic.
Tumblr media
On the right is of course the halfling Seeker Assum Emring, clearly depicted by his tattoo, and the dragonborn Guardian Tofor Brotoras.
The middle is of course Sir Gregory Fince, who is nearly identical to his depiction in The Legend of Vox Machina.
On the left facing away towards Fince is Arbiter Brom Goldhand, I can tell because it matches his description as a tall human man with dark hair and an unshaven square chin.
And in red is Hearthmaker Theadorn Krazz. He's probably one of the most obscure Council members to the fandom since his only appearance was in the original Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting book, where he was simply described as "an old dwarf with gray hair".
This comic is the first time Tofor, Brom and Theadorn have been officially depicted, and as far as I’m aware, nobody’s drawn any fan art of Brom or Theadorn either.

I had a thought...
I recently--finally--got my husband into Critical Role.  While i am all caught up and watch live, i am also rewatching with him.  We just got to the Conclave Arc and....when they found Gilmore, it was said that Arbiter Brom(sp?) Goldhand (aka the worshipper of Iun on the counsel) had not made it.  But then we see him later with Asum in Whitestone after Raishan brings them.
Idk, maybe i’m forgetting Matt saying he forgot that or that it was brushed off by Brom when they spoke to him...but i wonder...
I know i hear a lot of theories about the Death Knight (whom is a cleric, right? or Paladin, i’m misremembering maybe) that works with/for Vecna is Sylas...but...what if it’s Brom?  What if he was corrupted as well and brought back by Vecna? I mean Vecna ;s whole other things was corrupting and using the temples of Iun and is her enemy as she is knowledge and he is secrets.  So???? And maybe he just stayed behind to deal with this whole mess of dragons so it wouldn’t interfere with the coming ritual to get Vecna.
You could argue that Riskel, who was a follower of Vecna, fled, sure, but he was the one who’d left a trail with his signatures and papers at Whitestone in the Briarwood’s/Anders’ possession, and he knew he’d be found a traitor and needed to flee.  And where was he fleeing?  To Ankh’Arel!  aka not too far from the other Ziggurat where we saw Lady Briarwood and the Death Knight go through to the Shadowfell.  So while Riskel HAD to flee (but didn’t because they caught and killed him), Brom could stay because he had no visible ties and wouldn’t need to run.  Then the Conclave happened and that’s a lot to deal with and could potentially cause problems.  But there is also Raishan who had necromantic magic and nearly became a fucking lich herself before VM destroyed her.  And Vecna is a lich.  And we only saw Brom again when Raishan brought him.  Connections maybe?  Too much of a stretch?  IDK
Just a thought i had after rewatching that ep.  Though i know damn sure now why Riskel was going to Ankh’Arel, that’s where he woulda met up with Delilah again at the next Ziggurat.

In their accounting of who from the Council was still alive, they brought up everyone except good old Arbiter Brom, who is kinda like the Schrödinger's Cat of Council members. It’s really starting to bother me how little attention they pay to this guy who they’ve heard conflicting information about and has hints of a possible connection to the bigger story (cleric of Ioun, old temple of Ioun being corrupted by Vecna cult, suspicion of someone on the Council being a traitor still, etc.)
