During the Calamity, the Strife Emperor Bane and his brainwashed goblin armies were defeated by the Wildmother, leaving only his great armour (and troops of newly freed goblins) behind. The site of the battle, the Beynsfall Plateau, was reduced to rock and ash, destined to never grow plants again.

Had a ton of fun working on this piece. Got to sketch up a ton of winged horses, and that's always a fun time. There's some stuff I'd probably still change, but overall I'm very happy with how this came out!
