Okay so here is some info on Kal! His full name is Kal-Dox and he is a android. He has organs and blood but they are all synthetic and can only be used by him.
His home planet, Aotoa, turned to a war zone. And one side of the war made these androids to fight and all of them didnt have a mind of their own. Except Kal-dox. He was made to have emotions and such as a method to help soldiers overcome war trauma. Kal-Dox did end up fighting fue to the pack of soldiers. When both sides ended up destroying themselves, the androids were the last standing. In an effort to preserve the planet's many cultures, they gave him a super computer chip to improve his brain. Kal-Dox then was sent away to a viable planet to live on, which was Earth. He was found by a scientist named Ella Morgan. She found him to be interesting and a friendship grew between them. Kal-Dox wanted to explore the world and so Ella made him a gadget that would change his appearance to more human. He then went out to the world. Kal had troubles with social cues and such. Ella told Kal about her job and what she did. Fascinated, Kal wanted to get a job for himself so he could go through that experience. It took him awhile and some help from Ella, but he finally got a job as a reporter. It was a perfect time for that too. With the flood of new aliens imagrating to Earth, Kal wrote about it in great optimism. He soon became and amazing reporter. In a way, Kal-Dox was becoming more human.
