mark would probably meet you through hero work. whether that's from you actually being a hero, or just helping him with rescue work, you catch his eye not only because of your abilities, but WOW you're cool.

in fact, you would probably be more of a puppy-dog/inspiration for him at the beginning of his time as a hero. he would more stalk you, both cyber and in person, to find out everything about you. from your favorite foods, to every imaginable trait you could think of. favorite color, perfume, music, even the time of day, is something he would memorize onto the back of his hand.

he would, eventually, get the courage to talk to you. eventually. of course, that's after a few months of stalking, studying, and observing you. he would make himself to be the person you would actively seek out once you know about them.

do you like happy go lucky people who are dumber than a rock? he will be stupid. do you like distinguished people who know what they're doing? he will become the smartest man alive.

after the whole awkward 'first friend' phase, he would slowly either drop the act, or change it in accordance to what you like. he doesn't stop stalking you, however, so don't get your hopes up. he still has some worries about you leaving him for someone else, someone who you might think would be better.

after a while, he would try to drop hints, but honestly, he would be so good at acting you wouldn't be able to tell if they were hints or he was just very comfortable.

of course, one day he will just say it straight but for a few weeks you'll be pondering over if he really does like you or if he's fucking with you.

when he is ready to ask, he would do it in a way he knows you would appreciate. dinner by the beach, watching a movie at home with your favorite snacks, it might even be a cute little handmade cardboard box that holds a note saying 'date me pls?'.

it doesn't really matter what method he chooses, because you will say yes. he's been stalking you for almost a year at that point, dude knows what you would want and what you wouldn't.

after it's established, it's honestly just cute couple times. little date nights are few and far between, because he's still a hero, but they are always a hit.

mark during the relationship would be very clingy. even if he can't talk to you in person, he would be calling you every day. even if you are a hero as well, it doesn't really matter to him. like, yeah you're patrolling, but he's talking to you while he's kicking someone's ass!

give him attention. he's like a touch starved puppy, he will not leave you alone until you give him attention. like, it's bad. he will text you, call you, and if you fly up to a mountain for some peace and quite, he will still find you.

however, while he does get annoying sometimes, you will always cave once he's actually in front of you. you can ignore your phone giving you 100 notifications a minute, you cannot ignore him when he's sad.

also, sparring! with a normal s/o he wouldn't even think to spar with you as, well, that is the worst idea anyone can think of. but if you have some of the same strengths and abilities as him, he becomes so happy.

he loves sparring in the later evening, because to him it leaves much more time to actually talk after, and also, he just likes sitting with you after a long and hard day. it makes him relax.

and after a good spar, you wouldn't be able to just tell him to go home, right? he even brought you your favorite takeout place, with all your favorite foods. can't he just stay? it's not like it's a crime for him to stay somewhere other than his parents house.

the only thing I would think that you would have a major issue with, even if you knew he was a hero, was how much time he spends as a hero. you aren't called out as often as he is, so for you it's more equivalent to a 9-5 job (hero terms, of course).

for him, it's something much bigger. he will be gone for a whole day (not without texting of course), and when he gets back it would be 2 in the morning as he's jumping around the walls while you're trying to sleep.

while there are many instances where you tell yourself "I should probably break up with him if he's going to make me this mad every day", he would probably notice and actually plan or make spare time you.

overall, he's pretty adorable and stupid once you know him, and he really does love you. of course, you don't really need to know how he stalked you in the beginning, or how he still does, as then everything would be ruined. he understands that this will be a secret he will take to his grave.

and honestly, does it really matter when your boyfriend is some lovable dummy? he would never do that to you.

HxH top 5+:

Gon - he fits battle shounen well but he's also do great in a sports show. Any type of adventure story would suit him, it wouldn't need to be fighting related, he's so curious. And also detective stories, he's very perceptive. But also psychological horror or thriller where he has to face the darker parts of his personality. And high fantasy, Gon's obviously an elf or a hobbit or like a cross between them.

Killua - he would do well in some slow burn romance, period probably where a lot is unspoken. He could also do well as an eccentric detective, genius with poor people skills but actually very observant and empathetic on the inside XD

Alluka (and Nanika)- shoujo, possibly a magical girl one but with slightly darker undertones. You know, both cute and creepy. Or like darker, maybe supernatural or horror yuri drama. Nanika would either be her twin in this, or the dark magical being connected to her like she is in hxh. And obviously gothic horror.

Canary - she would also make a great magical girl, but also any kind of story of reluctant heroine would suit her - she serves the Zoldycks out of necessity but she also grew very emotionally invested in that. Also yuri drama would suit her very well. And considering how she scammed Amane in the Election arc I feel like some kind of story where she uses her wits to achieve her goals.

Leorio - apart from the obvious aka any medical drama, any scenario where it's him against the system. Probably cyber punk would suit him well, because of how such reality would clash with his values. But also rom com, he'd be kinda bad at it and it'd be funny.

JJK to 5:

Yuuji - I mean he's a shoujo manga heroine, I stand by it wholeheartedly. He's be good in slice of life but also in something very dramatic and painful. And he'd be perfect for romance where he's the clueless one and others pursue him, maybe even harem anime. Also some kind of story where he has a service job and deals with it, kinda heavy but funny story, probably heart warming in the end. Also musicals to utilise his singing skills and charisma.

Nobara - any story where she's the underdog climbing to the top or where she has assert herself against the world. She'd be great in slice of life too, especially comedy. And stuff with yuri on the side though no romance for her as the main plot, like she's more about her goals. And anything where she's ride or die, can be as tragic as Thelma and Luise but also a lighter play on that trope.

Kenjaku - comedy, obviously. Horror, duh. But also spy thrillers, both as the main character, kinda an anti hero, or the villain. And like any historical drama that is intrigue and/or creepiness heavy. And cyber punk with the body hopping. And obviously any story about them being an overbearing parent with a difficult relationship with their kids, like heavy family drama. Kenny's got range.

Sukuna - porn. Any story where he's the ruthless ruler or contender to power - period drama, modern, sf, crime. Any story where he's a cannibalistic serial killer, especially styled after true crime where he'd have groupies. Reality tv where he's the hated judge. But also some heavy drama where he has to deal with societal rejection and/or has to face the personal consequences of the way he is, like the thing Gege is denying him rn. Or a more silly and topey high school drama version of that like a bully getting his comeuppance and rethinking his life, something teen oriented.

Yorozu - so like mad scientist anything for her. But also Crazy Ex Girlfriend kinda thing where she slowly works through her issues and gets over seeking validation in shitty men. Also like Sex and the City but like if Samantha was the main character (as she should've been). Like a reverse rom com. She'd also do well in musicals and super hero stories before the started to strive for being serious, because she's over the top.

Chapter 5: "Unwrapping evidence."

Akito laid his slumped over head on the table. It was becoming awkward. Though, awkwardness was cut short when a waiter came over and delivered their food that they ordered earlier. Akito felt a sense of Deja Vu when hearing glass being set down on the table for the second time today. He raised his head up to make eye contact with the man across from him. “Are you happy with your second coffee for the day.?” “Very.” Akito then tilted in to take a bite out of the cheesecake with a spoon, his olive green eyes lighting up at the sweet taste. Topo, on the other hand, took a sip of his black coffee in synchronization. Unlike the office, the silence they had this time felt slightly painful. “The father. Is he deceased?” The statement from the man across from him caused Akito to look up. “Excuse me?” The detective spoke confused, swallowing his food with intensity. “Mr. Aoyagi. The father, is he alive?” This caught the interest of the detective, leaning in forward. “Well, There’s no record of a death from him, but there’s no trace of where he is either.” Akito voiced, sounding colder, “Why do you ask?” the detective continued. “He has something to do with the case, no?” The gray eyed man mutters, his eyes becoming dull. That statement made Akito sit up, “What?..” “The father, he had a private business, did you not know?” The detective jerked up looking fairly surprised as he broke into a sweat. The ginger no longer had an appetite as he leaned in to begin whispering to the man across. “What private business? How do you know this?” Topo went silent again, keeping a dead look on his face, staring. Akito wanted to know more; he had to as a detective, but due to how Topo’s body language reached out, it felt too pressureful to ask more questions. The detective sighed, taking another bite of his food, “Forget it.” he mutters. Then reaching over to grab a separate spoon, then digging into his cheesecake. Topo watched him do so, only to be surprised by the spoon with the cheesecake infront of his face. “Huh?” His eyes widened while he looked at Akito who had more of a serious face. “Eat it.” The detective shoved the spoon near his mouth and even pouted his lips slightly. “I.. I don’t want it.” The split haired man muttered, “You need to eat!” the ginger snapped back and shoved the spoon onto his lips, in which Topo was forced to bite down on the spoon to chew. Akito looked proud of his job of making the man across from him start eating, even his cheeks feeling a little hot from it. Though he brushed it off quickly once he heard a voice speak up once again. “If you check, on his occupation it’s listed as “unidentified”. Doubt fills once you know he’s a rich man, considering his lifestyle.” That realization struck Akito in the chest once he realized that he did see his occupation being labeled as “none” in an article. “You’re right.” The detective glanced up, being surprised that even he would not notice that specific information, yet Topo did. He felt disorientated by learning this, and even more confused when realizing how smart the man across was once revealing such information. “How do you know about this private business?” “There aren't any records of him working a physical job since he was about twenty..” He responded back rather quickly. ‘How did he know so much? Does he do his own research.. What else does this fucking guy know.?’ The detective leans more onto the table, finishing his last slice of cheesecake in the other’s mouth; looking defeated as he sighed. “You’re right.” The ginger mumbles. “Are you done with your coffee? Let me pay for us then.” The detective offers. Within a quick minute, he calls over the waiter and pays for them both. They sit there opposite of each other, staring without anything to say. “Should we call it a day?” The detective proposes

My hot take on Cyberpunk 2077 from what ive played so far is that if Jackie was allowed to live past Act 1, they could have gone harder with Johnny Silverhand (the character played by Keanu Reeves).

V’s looming electronic death sentence by fusing with Johnny is easily the most fascinating part of 2077. Johnny is a digital ghost in the machine that is V’s body, and the longer they go without separating from each other, the closer they meld together until they become one. Johnny begins to see V’s memories and slowly becomes unable to tell them apart from his own and vice versa, and even how they think and act begins to meld together. 2077 dedicates a lot of time to V’s examination of their own mortality and the terrifying idea of not even being able to see their own death, as they become Johnny and Johnny becomes them, all the while arguing and fighting with each other in a desperate bid to maintain the illusion that they’re still separate, they’re still themselves.

But I think the biggest thing holding that genuinely fantastic piece of digital horror story back is that Johnny can’t be himself all the time.

Johnny Silverhand is meant to be an incredibly fanatical character that a majority of the players wouldn’t immediately relate to, even if they do sympathize. He was a rockstar who saw the farmers around him get pushed out by the corpos, then saw the city he lived in descend further and further into capitalist hell. Then when singing out his rage and frustration no longer helped him, his hatred took over and he detonated a nuclear bomb in the middle of Night City with the intent to destroy a monument of the corpos: Arasaka Tower.

He’s supposed to be incredibly egotistical, hateful, violent, fanatical, but also a man with a point when he goes on long rants about just how badly we’ve let the megacorporations take over our lives and suck out the humanity from us. As V and the player live out their lives under the terror of Arasaka, Biotechnica, and Militech, they’re meant to question how much they truly agree with what Johnny did in 2023 and how much is Johnny’s own mind melding with theirs. Delicious fridge horror.

However, because the player’s best friend, mercenary partner, and all around good boy Jackie Welles is killed by Arasaka in Act 1, Johnny becomes V’s only constant companion.

And I mean constant. Keanu Reeves has the most amount of lines than any character other than V in 2077. Every sidequest, event, main story quest, etc has Johnny in it offering his thoughts, and because you cannot have a nuclear terrorist screaming obscenities at you 24/7, Johnny is often defanged, made to merely give a snarky comment or tries to give advice, the sort of role Jackie played as V’s best friend.

I’m not opposed to V and Johnny eventually developing a real sense of camaraderie as cyberpunk and cyber ghost, but also there was a side story with V and Johnny doing detective work on an attempted assassination on the Mayor and tossing enjoyable verbal back and forth, and I couldn’t help but feel what a missed opportunity that could have been. If Johnny’s descent from hardcore fanatic to companion was a lot more gradual due to Jackie being able to take up a supporting role, this sidequest scene could have been absolutely terrifying in hindsight. A whole 5 minutes where you’re making jokes with Silverhand rather than fighting? What does that mean? Are you sure you’re even still yourselves?

It’s such a pity because 2077 at least recognizes this is one of their most interesting narratives, one that even plays with the themes of the setting as it makes you think about how, under the terror of the corpos, your very body and even soul can no longer be yours. They could have really hit this even harder if Jackie Welles was around to still play the role of partner in crime, letting every interaction with Johnny Silverhand be as fearsome as his legend.

Some students told about how the part of self-defense usually failed and the report part also usually was ignored

The guest teacher would also tell about how this was a renewed method in order to stop school sh0ot1ngs that raised in the country.

Some got curious and asked for the tale, Varian got offended at the tales and sided with the sh0oters, everyone was surprised by his words.

The guest teacher tried to convince him about how wrong he was, but he also pointed out how unfair it was for a victim of bullying to get ignored until making a big "self defense act".

Some friendly students then explained him how wrong he was about school sh0otings in America, but either way, that class finished and he noticed how now people started to fear him, that felt soo rate.

At least, now nobody bullied him again, but still felt sad at hearing how people now talked about better not make him angry or he would k1ll everyone, he was convinced he wouldn't, never.

In this one, the guest teacher talked about the dangers of cyber boyfriends or cyber girlfriends, mostly about any p3d0fil1a form, and the more the talk continued, the more nervious he was, he expressed his doubts about his crush for an older lady (Cassandra) , if he was the one approaching her, then she was innocent of these crimes, right?

The teacher explained and Varian this time was convinced of how wrong this was, it hurted, but, after this class, with three days of self recapt and self convincing, the managed to stop his crush for Cassandra and not feel "in love" with her anymore.

‘Computer Crime’ v. ‘Cybercrime’: Computer and internet usage is on the rise due to lower costs and easier accessibility. As it is another mode of transaction and one that is heavily dependent on the interaction through computers and automatic agents rather than face-to-face meetings, it is another avenue for crimes to perpetuate. What we call “cybercrime” largely consists of common crime, the commission of which involves the use of computer technology, and for which penalties already exists under the Penal Code. Substantively, there is no difference between generic individual crimes such as fraud, theft, extortion, harassment, forgery, impersonation, etc. and their cyber-analogues. Only those that relate specifically to computer usage and materials, etc. are specialized offences for which the Computer Misuse Act (CMA) was specifically enacted to tackle. What is the difference between “Computer Crime” and “Cybercrime” and how are they treated under Singapore’s criminal law?

The Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act: The original Computer Misuse Act (CMA) arose directly out of the increased usage of computers and the internet as well as to protect certain features from objectionable activities. We will be generally considering the Act, its coverage and effect, and some cases illustrating the offences committed thereunder. To deal with new potential abuses of computer systems, the Computer Misuse Act entered into force in 1993. Thereafter, the CMA was amended from time to time to keep up with the changes in technology and to addresses new potential computer abuses such as denial or interruption of computer services and unauthorised disclosure of access codes. The Act was renamed in 2013 as the Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act (Cap 50A, 2013 Rev Ed) (CMCA), and provided for penalties proportionate to the different levels of potential and actual harm that may be caused by an offence. For example, it defines a class of critical computer systems (“protected computers”) and provides them with enhanced punishment in case of an offence. This applies to computers used by important institutions including the police, civil defence force, the military, national utilities companies, telecommunications companies, transportation services, major banks, and various emergency services. The CMCA also sought to enhance security, deter computer criminals with harsh penalties, and broaden the powers of the police to investigate such misdeeds. The CMCA was amended in 2017 with additional provisions to deal more with cybersecurity concerns; however, in 2018, after the enactment of the Cybersecurity Act (CA), the CMCA reverted to CMA with the security provisions moved to the CA.

Computer Crime Offences: The offences under the CMA are found in Part II of the Act, from sections 3 to 10. All the provisions provide for enhanced penalties when damage is caused, but the question is damage to what, and in what form? Also, under section 11, there is further enhanced punishment if the computer concerned is a “protected computer” (e.g. computers used for public safety, national defence, hospitals, etc.). The abetment and attempt of any of the CMA offences also constitutes the offence abetted or attempted and is punishable as that offence under section 12. The extra-territorial scope of the CMA is provided for under section 13. What is its effect and how effective can it be in the cyberspace where many actors can be sited, and acts can be committed, in other countries?

Consider the following:

Unauthorised Access to computer material (s.3 CMA): Mainly enacted to deal with hacking, it has since shown that it can extend to other forms of modus operandi. Present some reported cases and scenarios to explain how the provision works and what is required to make out a case under this provision. Do the “knowledge” relate only to the act of securing access or does it also relate to the lack of authorisation? What constitutes “unauthorized access”?

Access to computer material to commit/facilitate the commission of other offences (s.4 CMA): Examples are fraud, impersonation/identity theft or theft of finances such as credit card skimming, Phishing, Carding, Pharming. Explain the statutory limitations/conditions to the scope of this provision and the need to read/couple it with a substantive provisions in other criminal law statutes (esp. the Penal Code). Which offences/provisions in the Penal Code are relevant here. What are the differences between ss.3 & 4 of the CMA?

(a) Unauthorised Modification of computer material (s.5 CMA): The usual cases involve the defacing of websites through the use of computer viruses or worms, etc. Explain the elements of the provision and provide real world examples of such offences. (b) Unauthorised Use or Interception of computer services (s.6 CMA): The cases often involve phone/pager cloning and the tapping of cable broadcast service for free usage or mischief. Explain the elements of the provision and provide real world examples of such offences.

(a) Unauthorised Obstruction of computer usage (s.7 CMA): This will apply, for example, to system attacks, e-mail bombing and denial of service attacks. Explain the elements of the provision and provide real world examples of such offences. (b) Unauthorised Disclosure of access codes (s.8 CMA): An example is the transfer of one’s password to another to gain access to a computer or network without permission. What constitutes “wrongful gain”, “unlawful purpose” and “wrongful loss”? Explain these elements of the provision and provide real world examples of such offences.

(a) What is the objective and effect of the new provisions of the CMA in relation to the use of personal data obtained through existing offences and the act of obtaining tools to commit CMA offences (new ss.9 & 10 CMA). Compare these provisions to the existing provisions of the Act (e.g. the current provision on abetment and attempted (s.12 CMA). (b) What is the purpose and effect of the changes to the jurisdictional provision, particularly from the cybersecurity standpoint? (amended s13 CMA).

Future of Cybersecurity: Cybersecurity is increasingly an issue that the government is concerned with. Although the CMA contained provisions for the Minister to act and for investigations into cybersecurity issues, the Act was amended in 2013 to give the Minister even stronger powers to prevent or counter threats to national security, etc. by taking any measures necessary to prevent or counter any threat to a computer or computer service or any class of computers or computer services. These may cover the “cyberterrorism” phenomenon. Due to the heightened concerns with cybersecurity, the Act contained interim provisions on the issue until a standalone Cybersecurity Act was enacted in 2018. Nevertheless, the CMA provisions continues to be relevant as a part of the arsenal against cyber attacks and to address security concerns.

Cybersecurity Act: The 2018 Act is mainly procedural and relates to CIIs, empowering the Cybersecurity Commissioner to investigate and prevent breach/leak incidents, certification of service providers as well as breach reporting obligations. The approach is one of ‘light touch’ and can overlap with the work of the PDPC and the police under the CMA.

Had really high analytical scores after finishing her undergraduate degree. She studied Info Tech with a focus on cyber threats, but wasn't completely sure where she would go after graduation. It was a bit of a "hey, whatevs, let's try this" when the idea of trying out for the FBI came up, but when she applied, her overall scores were good enough for her to get accepted.

She originally went into the intelligence analyst branch, which would've kept her mostly behind the desk/screen, but these days, there's a cyber element to many "traditional" crimes, so she ended up working with other parts of the agency. And when someone was needed to go undercover for this particular job, she turned out to have both the mental and the physical attributes required for it.

Even though she wasn't necessarily happy about having to go undercover as a stripper, she has to admit she rather enjoyed this aspect of the job. Despite being very fit and healthy, for many years she had a fairly unhealthy relationship with her body image. And strangely enough, having to get naked in front of random strangers made many of her old insecurities go away. She also finds it quite intoxicating to know that most of those guys would eagerly sleep with her if given the chance.

She grew up in a borderline-abusive household with a father who had a really short fuse and a mom who was eager to please him at any time. Delia and her siblings frequently found themselves walking on eggshells as a result of the atmosphere at home. Because of that, she's terrified of commitment and the idea of marriage is 100% out of question.

Her full real name is Jerrica Adile Lancer. "Delia" is an anagram of her middle name. And Bates is her grandma's surname, so, technically her fake name isn't a total lie.

Cyber security is needed by everyone in their day to day life. Before giving updates to an unknown website we first check the virus in it. Cyber smartness is very much important for working on any online portal our cyber security is in our hands. People can say what they want about cyber connect but it can't be denied that they've been pretty much pro Hinata sense ultimate Ninja 1 back in 2003. They were one of the first to push NaruHina and gave it a positive representation. Even if the first ultimate Ninja hasn't really aged that well it was nice that it gave every character that was in the game a what if scenario. I love the fact the game gave Naruto and Hinata despite her story not being canon at all some good moments.

Ultimate Ninja 2 game an additional character that was a what if for Hinata if she were the head of the Hyuga clan. In ultimate Ninja 3 they gave her buffs in her moveset and gave her some moves that she used in the anime at the time

Ultimate Ninja 5 the unreleased game for players outside of Japan and Europe gave her some of the most badass ultimate in the entire history of the franchise I hope she gets a new one in connections I really did love the PS2 era cinematics for the specials.

Of course the storm games did more positive representation by having other characters push Naruto and Hinata together and side quests were you're giving a choice between Hinata and Sakura the Sakura option is considered the bad option. considering that she normally gets the most alternate costumes of any of the female characters I hope her manga design from chapter 700 makes a debut such a crime that design was never used in the anime.

I wish SP not have such a bias for Sakura because unlike them cyberconnect gives every character they're due and that's what I like about them they even give the most minor characters fun movesets to play with.

I know as someone who played all Ultimate Ninja games even 5 all the way till Storm they have always did an amazing job when it came to characters like Kurenai and several other characters got their debut in the Ultimate Ninja games as playable and they are all done really well. The what if characters were always amazing really wish they would do what if stories like I am a fan of the dragon ball games and some of the early games had what if stories that were fun to play would be nice if Naruto games did somthing like that.

You are right even though they clearly favoured NaruHina they didn't mess with the other characters out of a bias and were professional with the games. Even Sakura got a lot of move sets from the none canon movies or some made for the games that made her look better then she really was.

With SP I feel they gave their scriptwriters and team too much influence over the anime. There are times where Hinata is shown well, but then periods where you can tell they are being clearly bias towards Sakura and NaruSaku. It was really bad as the manga started pushing NaruHina, but the anime is inconstant and still pinning for NaruSaku.

A ridiculous Leverage AU concept popped into my head last night that's cracking me up. So first, it's Leverage OT3 having teamed up as a criminal crew without meeting Nate and Sophie. I'm picturing it in like a cyberpunk setting, but could potentially just be a canon-adjacent setting where the OT3 joined forces without Nate's influence, still pursuing crime for personal gain.

They've become a force to be reckoned with, a target of law enforcement and other criminal elements alike--probably clashed with at least pieces of Moreau's organization more than once--but no one has been able to touch them. Everyone with any connection to the criminal underworld knows about the genius Hacker Hardison and his cyber-crime empire, and everyone knows about his two closest lieutenants: a incredible Thief and an unstoppable Hitter, known only as "Parker" and..."Baby."

Some know only that much, and, when meeting the crew, many are prone to guess that the dainty blonde must be "Baby," and thus the glowering brunet must be "Parker."

The slightly better informed know that the Thief is "Parker" and the Hitter "Baby," but aren't 100% sure which is which.

The truly well-informed folks in the criminal underworld know who is who and enough of their reputations that although "Baby" is spoken of in hushed tones, since they know of no other name for the most elite Hitter in the business, no one dares to even think of calling him that to his face. That can get difficult for people who have to do business with him directly or discuss matters involving him with Parker or Hardison. None of the three ever offer any alternatives. (Every so often a newbie criminal comes along and decides to crack a joke about the name, often some variation on "putting Baby in a corner" and is quickly warned by their peers that 1) you do not joke about Baby--he could kill you with a blade of grass and is known to materialize in the most unexpected times and places--and 2) that specific joke has been made a million times already.)

Behind the scenes, of course, the trio's partnership is quite egalitarian, and Eliot's name is used freely, but 1) neither Parker nor Eliot is comfortable being the face of their organization, while Hardison is happy to LARP his nerdy little heart out as an evil overlord, and 2) Eliot had reasons to not want his real name spread around too much and made the tactical error of giving Hardison a little too much freedom in deciding what to call him in front of people.

Nate eventually does come on the scene, finally disgusted enough to break ties with his "lawful" but corrupt organization and willing to turn to the criminals he used to chase to cut a deal. His boldness at asking for a meeting in addition to what they knew of him as an investigator piques their interest, but they're disappointed when he stumbles in unkempt and still fairly inebriated.

He gains their interest back when, even in his drunken state and having never laid eyes on any of them, he sweeps one look around their temporary HQ, immediately clocks Parker as THE Parker despite her just standing still next to Hardison, and, by process of elimination, turns to Eliot and says, "So, you must be Baby."

It seems like a lot of modern vampire fiction implies or outright shows that a vampire can drain an entire adult of blood, either completely or enough to kill them, in one meal (and they feed frequently). And then here's Dracula implying that 3 adult vampires are going to share a single small child.

I mean, I know people talk about portion sizes in the USA being excessively large, but the vampires of Sunnydale/Bon Temps/etc. are apparently taking this to the extreme.

Dream of the Endless is back in his cage for Halloween, and he is not happy.

I, on the other hand, am delighted by how well the design carved up, particularly how clearly Dream's eyes glow.

I ended up decreasing the width of the binding circle a bit to fit better on the pumpkin without shrinking Dream and the cage down any further, and the chains are a little chunkier to be carveable with the tools I have, but overall the concept translated onto the pumpkin very well.

I think it looks even better in person--it's hard to capture well on a phone camera.

Suddenly tickled by the idea of Death giving Dream a mobile phone (whatever magical version can get service in the Dreaming) to facilitate him keeping in touch with his one (1) human friend Hob. (And maybe even making more friends? Hint, hint, little brother.)

She assures him she's taken care of everything. The only thing he needs to do is give this sequence of numbers to Hob (or any other human he wants to be able to contact him). He'll know what to do. Death has already set up everything else on the phone--she even set a ringtone for him!

Dream has never cared enough about human telecommunications to know what a ringtone is, and he's too distracted by insisting that he doesn't need a phone--he and Hob have managed fine for centuries without one--to think to ask about it.

He realizes this was a mistake only later, when he's looming dramatically and impressively over someone as Lord Morpheus, and suddenly music begins to blare:

Idril never knew her birth parents.
