All about the 知足 ( Contentment ) audio recording : CPN + lyrics analysis 🎧

everything here is not 100% verified so don’t take it as truth. there are screenshots and speculations but this is not me confirming anything. interpret it as you will. the audio recording is floating around in other platforms but i won’t share it here.

There was a rumor before that after the 2019 DDU filming, they all went to a KTV to celebrate. That’s GG/Web as well as TTXS brothers and probably other staff. This is where this was sang and recorded. Allegedly.

Then in 2020, it seems like GG’s QQ account uploaded the recording. The run time is 1.18! 18! Yibo! and it’s in a playlist called 95. If you don’t know the importance of 95 to the fandom, read here.

After a short while, it was deleted even if people were able to like it and comment. This is the part I really can’t confirm cause I didn’t see it myself. Also we don’t know if it’s intentional on GG’s part and his team. Plus the fact that it was deleted says something. If you listen to the audio, it’s actually just GG you can clearly hear and Web very faintly. Considering the time it was uploaded (10/2020) tho GG had been coming back around this time, it’s still not a good move to have something out there that can potentially attract antis. People noticed Yibo’s voice so I think it’s one of the reason why it was deleted, to not bring Yibo to a potential issue.

2021, it made the rounds again because it was re-uploaded by fans. It’s just my personal stance to not share it in big platforms. I think it’s perfectly fine to keep a copy for yourself then listen and cry lol. We don’t know who uploaded it and why. If this was recorded during a private get together, I don’t think we should be listening to it. Tho how it was sang was so beautiful. 🤍 I will never wish to get a private recording of them audio or video when they are in a place where they are with friends no matter how much it feeds the cpn machine. I hope they can get the privacy they need when they are together and when they are with friends/family without being filmed and followed. Look at how people were following GG and his family in Sanya when he was on vacation. So yeah. There are things that we will never know and that’s fine. No need to dig.

2022, I think around 3AM ish, people were posting that it was re uploaded in Kugou Music ( a music platform kinda like spotify ) and the difference? The artists tagged are both XZ/WYB.

It was not uploaded by the boys’ artist account or anything. People rushed over to listen to it and save somehow because it may be taken down again. Lol. I honestly have no idea how this got that high on hot search. Is it a slow day today? But if you think about it, anything with XZ and WYB on it is bound to be talked about. It stayed there for a while so people just started using the HS spot for BAH and YGY. In BJYX ST, it was announced to not talk about CPN. Even if you look at entertainment blogs who shared it, most of the comments are saying something like — “it’s nothing~”.

I honestly like how the fandom handled this incident overall. I’ve said this before, there are times when we should keep quiet about CPN. This audio does not prove a romantic relationship or what. It’s an audio of them singing, that’s all. The last thing Xiao Zhan needs right now is a negative HS. Even if this is not exactly harmful, but well, if the whole CP is dragged into it then it’s gonna be an issue. CP things should be kept in our circle only. 🤍

About the whole “claiming” the music thing. I found this but I can’t verify how true. Or if XZ/WYB are even looking at this and giving resources to claim certain things.

What does Kugou Music claim work mean?

Kugou claiming the work means that Kugou has not officially obtained the copyright of the music and the music copyright does not belong to Kugou. Then, the user cannot play, download and listen to the music.

This requires the original author of the work to claim the music and grant the copyright to Kugou before users can play, listen and download normally.

I think this is why people are saying the boys claimed it because you can play it normally and download it. This is all speculation with “facts” that we have but the only “official” songs are the ones personally endorsed by the two.

Also this is the platform’s terms and conditions. You can study it if you want, but i’m not gonna think too much about that. It’s pretty obvious, the HS stayed and the track is still there as of writing. No clarifications of any kind was posted. There are things that these two do or don’t that prove how they have no problem being associated to each other once in a while. If they really hate e/o, then they can scrub everything out. Or have their fan accounts refute rumors or whatever. Lol.

Now that we have the whole CPN history out of the way, let’s do a mini analysis of the song and why they chose it. The song is bittersweet, which is their favorite type of track so that may be one factor.

I am interpreting this in XZ’s POV, since he was the one actively singing the song. I’m imagining that summer when GG was exposed to Web’s sweet smiles. This person who everyone said was cold/aloof, but turned out to always be the one who makes him laugh. who smiles at him. Even beyond that summer, the whole 2019 promos, Web was smiling at him.

If we’re working on the timeline that they fell in love that summer, GG is not sure how he can keep someone like Yibo in the long run. Their lives are too complicated and it must have felt like wishful thinking that they can have a relationship.

These Producers Will Ruin the Show

The last standing women on the miserable trip to Birmingham wanted to make it seem like they had formed some kind of a bond on that trip, which is a ludicrous thought.

Especially when Marlo Hampton is one of the women.

Marlo is notorious for divide and concur among this group, and Sanya Richards-Ross and Shereé Whitfield continues to support her every outrageous move.

I don’t know why they’re so hellbent on protecting Marlo. 

It appears that the producers are protecting Marlo as well, as they misrepresent situations to support Marlo’s “innocence”.

It’s bullshit, and it will come back to bite Bravo, Sanya, Shereé and Courtney Rhodes in the ass if they continue to view Marlo as a “misunderstood” person.

And what are the producers trying to do with this show?! They’re proving being biased by misrepresenting scenes to defend Marlo.

Marlo, who has been kicking and screaming at hotel room doors, scaring kids, and has been insinuating that a cast member is linked to multiple shootings.

Yeah, I’m not enjoying this. What Marlo is doing to Kandi Burruss is beyond reason, and it’s reckless.

At this point, Bravo is awarding horrible behaviour on this show, and it will lead them to their downfall, mark my words.

And Courtney, another member in the anti-Kandi club, invited the women to a team building event, and had the audacity to take the higher ground with their feuds.

I understand that Kandi had no interest in pretending that everything was honky dory when Marlo has been running her terrible mouth as usual this season.

But thing went dark fast as the women expressed their frustration with Marlo. Kandi was understandably riled up, but the women did nothing to calm her down.

Kenya Moore even talked about punching someone in the throat as a preferred attack move.

Marlo defends herself by accusing the women for always holding her violent past against her, while they suck up to Kandi.

Frankly, that’s simply Marlo’s selected memory, because my impression is that the women are always reaching for an opportunity to be on Kandi’s back about something.

Kicked Out of the Charity Event

This wasn’t a good episode, and it probably wasn’t a good time filming this trip either, because it fell apart quickly.

Kenya Moore is many things, but she’s not the greatest hostess of the housewives.

After she had an issue with Sanya Richard-Ross’ hosting skills on their trip to Jamaica, one would think that she would show how it was done.

But we remember the crab cake from season 13.

It didn’t seem like Kenya or the production had informed the charity event that they were going to film, as they got kicked out for creating too much disruption.

That must have been so embarrassing!

It seemed like the women got paranoid with Kenya. Did they feel set up on this trip?

But no matter what their questions would’ve been, it could’ve waited until the next day. 

Kicking and screaming at the hotel door when a child was sleeping inside, was disrespectful.

Their trip to Birmingham was almost doomed from the start since Kandi Burruss was too booked and busy, and Drew Sidora was sick with the flu.

One of the problems I’ve got with RHOA right now, is that the group is too divided, with no reconciliation in sight.

And the one who is dividing the group is Marlo Hampton.

If Marlo’s family has a problem with Kandi, it’s perhaps somewhat understandable that she is being passive aggressive towards her. 

She’s extremely hot and cold with her.

One minute she’s angry that Kandi isn’t being a good friend, the next she’s insinuating that Kandi is involved in multiple shootings.

“Why keeps Kandi having shootings? I don’t know, but let’s find out.”

And Courtney Rhodes continues to be anti-Kandi as she co-signs Marlo’s insinuation and claims that Kandi draws the wrong crowd!

It seems to me that Marlo and Courtney are creating a very dark narrative about Kandi, and I don’t understand why the production are allowing it to continue.

Yes, it’s strange that Kandi didn’t address the shooting at Blaze, but there are legal reasons to why she can’t talk about it. 

And the producers need to respect that.

Tell us about yourself: "I'm Sanya, the former Heir of Itrillis, which is a habitable moon in Sector 6. Yes, I know, my last name is the same as the name of my home place. My great grandfather, The First Emperor, had his last name changed so as to tie his bloodline more tightly to Itrillis. I was recently kidnapped by radicals and played a part in a police mission to capture said radicals' mothership, but you know that already since it was all over the news. Following this event, I spent a couple of months abroad from home, able to see how things are done elsewhere and come to terms with the fact that my family is an oppressive institution to the people of Itrillis. I'm currently in hiding at an undisclosed location since I made a video confession about my fathers' illegal activities."

Where would you take a date?

"A date? Well...I knew this girl recently whom I never got to take on a date but if things had gone differently then...I'd have loved to take her on a hoverboard ride around my home city of Miyayevsk. And afterward, I'd have brought her to this beautiful restaurant by the Imperial Botanical Gardens with a multi-floor aviary where one can watch real birds fluttering around during the meal."

What is your idea of paradise?

"In a religious sense, or in the sense of a utopia or an "earthly paradise"? For the latter, I suppose a world wherein nobody has to suffer from a lack of resources whilst everyone can still feel like they're providing a meaningful contribution to society. I recognize that this is the basis of a philosophy associated with the very same radicals who kidnapped me, but I won't let that mar a good idea." What do you love about yourself?

"Not to brag but I've been told to have a strong moral compass. If that's true, then it's definitely a trait that I intend to foster. I also love my lack of fear of heights. It allows me to do some cool but idiotic things."

"Apparently I say "It'll be alright" a lot when my acquaintances are in distress. What are your bad habits?

"I have a habit of rarely thinking more than one step ahead. I've been said to be led by my emotions rather than my brain and I'm used to paying my way out of trouble or falling back on my public image so when neither is an option I'm left flailing helplessly. This lack of foreplanning can make me come off as childish or reckless, but in good news, I'm working on fixing that particular flaw. Right now, for once in my life, I know exactly what I'm doing."

If you had $1 million, what would you do with the cash?

"Ugh, I'm not sure. It's a rather small amount of money, but seeing how fast I've been burning through my cash it'd be a welcome addition to my bank account. I already have some put aside for lawyer fees and emergency payments so I suppose I'd take this one million and try to find a safe place to invest it in, so I could start rebuilding my wealth now that my family has cut me off."

Do you have any enemies?

"This is a controversial notion but after my recent video call out, I think that my father, The Emperor of Itrillis, might be one. What I said in my callout still stands - the man is a murderer. A dictator who's thrown innocents in jail to keep his reputation clean and would've readily staged terrorist attacks on his own people to hide the fact that he's funding anti-Central radicals. I am ashamed to be related to this person and want to have no part in the institutions he's trying to uphold. A true leader must be for the good of his people not the other way around and so long as he refuses to publicly acknowledge the blood on his hands I will have no option but to call him my enemy."

If you could appear in any popular movie or book, which one would you choose and why?

"My own biopic. The directors are going to make it a flat black-and-white morality propaganda film otherwise. I want my biopic to be something that'd make people think and reconsider their place in the world, the same way I did when I was forced out of my comfortable life."

What’s your relationship with your creator?

"Ugh, getting a little meta there, aren't we? My creator loves me and has spent a lot of creative energy on drawing or thinking up headcanons on my future, though she's bemoaned her inability to make me act "according to my upbringing"."

Do you have any advice for other character creators?

"I do not but my, ugh, "creator" would like to urge people to "try and not make roleplay characters you empathize too much with because it becomes emotionally taxing" whatever that means."

//I can’t go into the Butters tag because all the top posts are just Anti-Butters and I’m a spiteful Butters fan, but for anyone saying his physical transformation was impossible, army boot camp before deploying can go up to/just about 5 months before they potentially do advanced training for specialized combat, and his athletic ability as a runner was pre-established in Dead Beat. JB wrote about how good Butters was at running way back when, with all this in mind. In fact, a lot of this was established with little asides and observations sprinkled over a lot of books.

Butters getting more athletic when he’s starting from a decent baseline with an athletic background (probably ran track/cross country as a sport) as opposed to a heavy set one, and learning enough martial arts not to die, is pretty doable I think. Is he going to actually beat Sanya or Micheal or Charity if they were genuinely trying hard? No. But is he going to hold his own? Yes. And is he smart enough to make up the difference? Yes yes.

Also... Shiro was like. 70-80 when he died, and still kicking ass. So. Probably the Spoilers Ahead: 

swords also physically imbue the carrier, kind of like the Denarius do, but the difference between the swords/coins is ultimately choice. The being in the sword imbues the wielder with a certain power if they are the right aptitude, and if they break the very set terms (ie, wielding without faith in Fidelacchius’s case, or turning a blade to an enemy seeking mercy) then the sword just switches off rather than risking becoming a Fallen. They have a very tight set of rules. So between the training and the sword bolstering Butters’s ability, it makes sense to me that he was able to keep up like he did for a night.

... I really need to like. Write out my essay on how Butters’s arc was a Luke Skywalker parallel with the Hero’s Journey, and why it makes sense for him to get the sword because of Murphy’s and Charity’s pre-established character traits, but eh.

Also don’t even @ me about the Andi and Marci thing. It’s not my ship by any means, but they’re both in their thirties and werewolves and deserve a bit of frickin’ autonomy rather than ‘ew Butters is an old man clearly he pressured them.’ Like no, Andi would remove anyone’s hand with her teeth if they tried to pressure her or anyone she loved. And obviously they had a lot of pre-friendship build up when he helped her study her medical school and played Arcanos. Like. Please. I may not like the ship, but it’s an example of a healthy polycule/triad and we deserve that in fiction.

And don’t @ me either about that White Knight thing, Harry was more than creepy about Molly for a Lot Fucking More than one scene, and Thomas started dating the mentally ill Justine when she was sixteen. Butters was creeped out and upset he had a reaction to it.

And it’s not like Butters probably isn’t going to die to fucking Nicodemus one day and satisfy most of the fandom’s desire to see him dead (like Butters hasn’t been one of the most compassionate and caring and selfless fucking people in the entirety of the book series). Like thematically yeah it’d have made sense for him to get killed, but. Letting him become a Knight and atone for his fuck ups and do some good in the world as an active player and not a ‘look out/go to healer guy’ isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And as much as I hate to say it, Karrin losing her plot armor wasn’t necessarily a bad thing either (not touching Battlegrounds, obvs. Just looking at Skin Game).
