Have a thought I had based on listening to Monster by Meg and Dia (funnily enough) and thinking about some of the horror games we got in the late 2010s like D.D.L.C and F.N.A.F World. I feel like I also have to give a spoiler warning for D.D.L.C so this is that spoiler warning! So, you know how those games I mentioned toyed with the idea of one or more characters being so sentient or self-aware that they actively interact with the player or even manipulate the game itself in some way? For example, when Monika literally learns how to manipulate the game code and at one point deletes Sayori, Yuri and Natsuki from the game files so she could have you all to herself because she wasn't given a romantic ending of her own originally. Oh, she also made Yuri and Sayori kill themselves (due to making Yuri a yandere and having Sayori's depression ramp up exponentially) along with making Natsuki become an unrecognizable glitched out mess before she deleted them too 🫢.
So, my thought is this concept being applied to a slasher film. I already know that you're thinking, and no I'm not talking about "self-aware" movies like S.cream, where the characters are actually only slightly more genre savvy than most horror movie characters, and the characters themselves aren't really THAT self-aware when you think about it. The characters in movies like S.cream still ACT like typical horror movie characters at the end of the day. They don't really gain any real sentience or self-awareness and they don't really interact with the audience or try to tamper with the movie in any way like what I'm referring to. S.cream stans please don't come for me, I literally had to look up the difference between true self-awareness and being genre savvy to make this point and I didn't mean to single it out specifically, it was the first film that came to mind when thinking about self-aware type horror movies. No, what I'm talking about is the victims or other characters of the movie having true self-awareness to know that they're the victims and they've been repeating their cycle of being killed over and over again due to the viewer repeatedly watching their favorite horror movie or horror franchise of choice; then doing things like breaking the fourth wall to try and convince the viewer to try and help them in some way (like turning the movie off, rewinding or forwarding to specific parts so the characters can try and "change the script" so to speak, etc.). So, in essence the characters of the film aren't only fighting for their lives against the actual person trying to kill them, but they also try to change the script and control the movie itself so it can work in their favor, along with begging and pleading for the viewer's help/sympathy/mercy to help them survive their encounters before their life clock runs out.
Also imagine the characters fully looking at you before they finally die and BLAMING YOU for their deaths, instead of the actual slasher that killed them because you either chose to do nothing in helping them and watched the movie as intended or there really was NOTHING you could do to help them no matter how much the characters changed things around. Like imagine how fucking freaky that would be. I know that this concept would be VERY difficult, and dare I say damn near IMPOSSIBLE, to fully adapt in a movie format or hell ANY format that's not a VN, or a video game, or even one of those "choose your own adventure" YouTube videos. But it's still a fun concept that I would have personally loved to see in a movie.

Lendo sua resposta ao Anon anterior, em que você menciona uma rede de tv gananciosa disposta a explorar tudo que uma franquia oferece lembrei-me da série Blood And Sand. O protagonista era Andy Whitfield, e causou ondas de calor enormes - meu deus, aquele era realmente um homem lindo!
Não sei se havia fóruns na internet (!!!) dedicados a ele, mas eu o acompanhava na mídia oficial, e não havia notícias sobre uma esposa.
Ao iniciarem os preparativos para gravar a segunda temporada Andy foi diagnosticado com um linfoma não-Hodgkin e a gananciosa rede de tv lançou uma prequela com quase todos os membros do elenco original que nos manteve a todos interessados. Alguns novos personagens cheios de testosterona mantiveram os Não tinhamos notícias sobre o tratamento do protagonista, claro.
Ao final da prequela, veio a notícia da morte de Andy, o anúncio de um documentário sobre seu tratamento e últimos dias, acompanhado pela já viúva e a notícia de que a segunda temporada estrearia em breve, com um recasting.
Houve uma segunda e terceira temporadas claro, mas o novo protagonista não tinha nem a beleza nem o magnetismo de Andy. Assisti a segunda temporada e ao especial, mas não me preocupei em voltar para a temporada final. Tudo isso aconteceu em um intervalo de apenas dois anos... Lembro-me de ficar horrorizada com a ganância daquela emissora, mas espero que tenha trazido algum consolo ou suporte para a viúva de Andy.
Enfim, apenas um pensamento sobre até onde **** é capaz de ir.

'Reading the answer you wrote to your previous Anon, in which you talk about a greedy TV network able to exploit everything a franchise could offer, I remembered the Blood and Sand series. The male lead role went to Andy Whitfield, which caused an enormous heatwave - my God, that man was really beautiful!
I don't know if there were any dedicated Internet forums (!!!), but I followed the official media and nothing transpired about him being married.
By Season Two's pre-production phase, Andy was diagnosed with a non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and the greedy TV network launched a prequel that included almost all the original cast members, in order to keep us hooked. Some new characters pumped up on testosterone kept [edit: suponho que você queria dizer algo como 'manteve os fãs interessados'/ I suppose you wanted to say something along the lines of 'kept the fans interested']. Of course, we had no news about the male lead's treatment.
Around the time the end of the prequel was broadcast, I found out Andy had died, along with news about a documentary being produced about his treatment and last days, in which he was appearing together with his widow. Season Two was announced to be broadcast soon and Andy's part was recast.
Eventually, the series went on for about three seasons, but the new male lead didn't have either Andy's beauty, nor his charisma. I watched Season Two and the documentary, but did not follow for the last season. All of this happened in the space of less than two years....I remembered being absolutely horrified by the greed of that TV network, but I hope it brought at least some solace or support to Andy's widow.
Oh, well... just a thought about just how far *** is able to go.'
Of course, it helps a lot to put things in their right context and add just one, tiny detail: the greedy TV network was, in both cases, ***.

Why Freddy Is A Child Killer And Nothing More.
SO! I am fucking sick and tired of seeing this shit over and over again so I think it is high time I make a post addressing this formally. Freddy Krueger is not a pedophile, child molester, kiddy toucher, or whatever the fuck you want to call it.
You might be saying “Well Bex! I heard that originally Wes Craven-” Yup. Originally Wes Craven played around with the idea of it but it was cut early on and did not make it into the final script and nothing pertaining to that was ever shot either.
Next you might say, “Oh but what about the 2010 remake? He was totally a fucking pedo in that!”
You are right in the 2010 remake he was! Okay. So. I am gonna say this next part loudly and clearly.
Fuck the 2010 remake.
Wes Craven has literally nothing to do with it. In fact they did not consult Wes on the remake at all and he expressed his displeasure over that fact as well! The remake is not fucking canon to me and many others due to that fact alone. The vast, vast majority of people you see on here, myself included, who love Freddy are talking about the OG 80s and New Nightmare Freddy played by Robert Englund.
Speaking of Robert Englund! He is very important to this conversation. Now why is that? Because he played the character for twenty years? Yes I think that does give him a good amount of say in this conversation. But more than that he literally made the character who is. After A Nightmare On Elm Street back in 1984, the first one, Robert asked for more money and better billing when ANOES 2 was going to happen, the studio said fuck that, the makeup is the most important part! And they recast him!
They got two weeks into shooting before they realized how hard they fucked up and asked for Robert back, meeting his originally, extremely fair, especially considering his role, demands.
Freddy is not just saying bitch, it is not corny one liners and it is NOT just make up, there is a fuck ton more to him, there is depth and Robert? Clearly understands that to the point that the studio agreed no one else could play him in the original franchise’s run. So I think we can agree what Robert thinks about Freddy is clearly important, leading to my next point.
As for what Robert actually has to say on the matter, and I quote from this article published on Bloody Disgusting in 2015 of what he said when asked for his thoughts on this by some fans at comic con.
“You can imagine Freddy to be anything you want,” Englund began. “My theory is the word “child killer”, there’s something darkly…darkly poetic about that. It’s a very frightening phrase. Child killer! That should be enough. And I think there’s something symbolic about being a child killer. He kills children because children are their future and there’s no place for Freddy in the future. And it’s revenge on the parents! It’s the most painful thing a parent can do is to lose a child before they die. I mean, I can’t imagine how anybody…how any adults or parents survive that, the death of a child. So that’s nasty enough!”
I mean that says it all to me. He has been asked on many occasions and I have seen him even refer to the idea of Freddy being a molester as “gilding the lily” basically, it is wholly unnecessary like a hat on a hat. Freddy being a child killer is enough. Wes thought so. Robert thinks so too.
And for me? That is more than enough. I hope this clears up shit for a lot of people.

For anyone looking for a new rhythm game and/or a game with canon yuri to play, the game World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium is currently celebrating it's 0.5th anniversary with a new main story chapter, a festival banner and reruns of previous banners.
World Dai Star is a mixed media theatre girls franchise whose main entries are the anime of the same title and the mobile rhythm game. It features both original songs and cover songs such as Stellar Stellar, Phony, Snow Halation, Ano Natsu ga Houwa Suru, Tokyo Shandy Rendezvous and more.
It's set in a world which had a huge theatre boom in the middle of the 20th century, which resulted in the field of theatre acting becoming so crowded that some people developed mutations which gave them acting superpowers called 'Senses', which can range from increased athletic ability to mind reading to de-aging while on stage. The very best actors are classed as World Dai Stars, with only a small number of people worldwide claiming the title.
The anime follows a girl named Otori Kokona as she joins the theatre troupe 'Sirius' and starts her journey towards becoming a World Dai Star. Kokona has been repeatedly rejected during auditions as they say she lacks a Sense, however she has her best friend Shizuka supporting her in her dreams no matter what. As it turns out though, no one else can see or hear Shizuka. As the show progresses Shizuka becomes visible to others and it's revealed that she's actually Kokona's Sense and although many mysteries remain around her, with her help Kokona's acting starts to shine.
World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium is a direct sequel to the anime which continues to follow Kokona and the rest of Sirius while introducing three new troupes, Eden, Gingaza and Gekidan Denki.
Eden is a subversive troupe led by the young lesbian genius Renjakuno Hatsumi, which creates unique plays with controversial subject matters and has a dangerous reputation with the more mainstream troupes in the area. Bar Hatsumi, whose Sense allows her to suppress other's Senses, all members of the troupe have Senses which can act as double edged swords.
Gingaza is one of largest and most prestigious theatre companies in Tokyo and scouts for actors internationally. The environment at the beginning of the game is both hyper competitive and unfriendly and the members rarely befriend each other, but that begins to change when Ramona Wolf arrives from Germany.
Gekidan Denki is a troupe which focuses on 2.5D performances such as anime adaptations. They are a relatively easygoing troupe made up of various kinds of otaku and their dedicated fans are very enthusiastic. However, due to changes in the economy of Akibahara the troupe isn't as profitable as it used to be, and the threat of closure is often hovering above their heads. The story starts when a cosplaying anime otaku named Iroha, who quit acting when she was young because she has no Sense, joins the troupe with her best friend Mito.
The rhythm game aspect has been praised for it's three finger Olivier charts and high level of user customisation, which you can see in the linked video and read more about in the English language fan guide. It uses a system called Star Acts for it's scoring system. The team building and score increasing aspects are more in depth than most rhythm games and are considered one of the major draws of the games for people who like meta aspects.

The card art is always high quality and in particular often has excellent lighting.
The original songs are also highly praised, and the game has many covers like the ones mentioned above and ANIMA, Turing Love, Fleeting Lullaby and Hide and Seek. You can see three different difficulty levels with three different songs in the videos below.

In addition to the rhythm game section, there are also 3DMVs with customisable cast members and outfits and Photo Spots where you can dress members up and take photos of them in daily life situations. There are also 3DMVs of plays such as The Phantom of the Opera in the game, which have scripts written by a professional playwright.

For the yuri, there's a lot of potential pairings who openly flirt with each other, but more explicitly Renjakuno Hatsumi is gay and is in an open relationship with Lilja Kurtbay of Gingaza (first pic below). She cruises around town in her car hitting on girls on most days and regularly goes on dates with the girls she picks up. She's hit on most of the girls in the cast at this point and about a third of them like it. Also, the most loved up pair in the game are Senju Iroha and Shiromaru Mito (second pic below), and the official Twitter account of the game liked a post of rainbow flags replying to one of the Iroha/Mito 1komas that they posted.

Since the 0.5th anniversary banners and events are ongoing it's a good time to start the game, you can download it through QooApp. The game was laggy for Android on release and the reviews reflect that, but the issue was fixed in the first month and it now runs smoothly. All of the main story chapters, all of the key story events and some other events are translated to English, link is below.
