I love the Shizune/Anko/Konan fanart!!

But it has to make me wonder, what kind of relationship did Anko have with Tsunade and Jiraiya?? Canon never showed them really interacting...

I know right?? Feels like she never even met them before Tsunade became hokage... But again, Anko was left COMPLETELY forgoten after the chunin exams and that one tiny appearance at the end :(

And she was so cool and had so much potential and background to work with...

When people cry about Sakura's supposed 'wasted potential" I just... I'm sleep. In a lot of youtube videos comments there are these crazy Sakura fans who constantly moan about potential (I guess telling themselves that makes them feel better for stanning such a shitty character). I really tried to see it but I couldn't. Maybe I'm just biased because I dislike her but I don't see any wasted potential in Sakura's case. Her background story? Lol she barely even has one. Oh she was made fun of because of her forehead? Don't care. Her ambitions and goals? To become stronger so she won't need Naruto and Sasuke to protect her. Boring. And even after she becomes stronger she still needs to rely on others. Everyone wanted to become stronger and became stronger. Her abilities? Copy pasted from Tsunade. She's like Tsunade v2 but with a much worse personality and nothing original at all. People love to bring up how Kishimoto said she had an inclination for genjutsu in the beggining but dropped that, but like, even if she became a genjutsu expert, genjutsu was hardly relevant anymore in shippuden, all the big villains were already immune to it. Naruto himself became immune to it after achieving full control over Kurama. And then they say she's great if you ignore her obsession with Sasuke. I'm sorry but there's hardly anything left of her character if not for her obsession. Maybe she wouldn't have been as annoying without it, but she'd still been bland as hell and irrelevant. The problem is not even her obsession, but the fact that it literally defines her character, it's the most proeminent thing about her and defines her existence. If she had other things going for her and was used to show a different perspective on the big issues in the manga, maybe people would not be hating her and would be more willing to forgive her for her obsession. But she's none of that. She's just a lovesick puppy from the beggining to the end, with very few moments of self reflection and maturity, that does literally contribute with nothing the plot. Imo Anko had more potential than her.

If we can just use the potential card, then even Hinata had more potential than her (better fighting style, better jutsus, better clan drama, more sympathic as a character honestly).
