“there's a reason why they say alexia has the finest last pass in the world. such a smooth back heel. what a tacón, no?”
The way Alexia plays, the way she treats the ball, and her physicality kind of reminds me of Maradona. Leaving aside all of his personal issues and addictions, the man had magic in his feet, and the way Alexia moves reminds me of him sometimes.
yes, i can definitely see that because both alexia and maradona are known as being creative players with great skill on the ball. it's that little something extra or magic as you say, that they both have.
in my head, i've always seen alexia as the daughter of xavi with a good dose of iniesta sprinkled in (although i do think aitana is more so the direct daughter of iniesta). she's got the brain and critical thinking of xavi mixed with the creativity touch of iniesta.
(i just hope that alexia makes a better manager than xavi or even maradona when she eventually goes down that route🙈)
i was feeling nostalgic and slightly depressed about this season, so i sat down and put this together. i spent around a little over an hour on it, so it's definitely not my finest work lol, but i thought i'd share it here. i'm still planning on putting together a Xavi Era tribute at the end of the season.
also by the way i had to compress the video because the file was so large lmaoo so the quality might not be the best
all clips were taken from twitter, the majority were from barça's official account or they have a watermark on them. most of them are in chronological order, from 1998 to 2024, except for a few obvious ones.
