It's 2023 and sometimes I still think about Jensen's expression here when saying he didn't initially like Dean's reaction:

The way he says it, his very expression, is just so blatant. He knew Dean's ending in 15x20 was not it.

Regardless of what has been said over the past 2.5 years by him, others, and this fandom, I always come back to this. "I don't like it." And Kripke had to explain things from a "macro" point of view.
