I loved this episode so much!! The rescues were cool, we got TARLOS :DD AAAH, lol, none of the storylines I was scared of dragged on too long (or, you know, the beginning of them anyway), and we got to see our wonderful 126 (and co) again :DDD. It was amazing :)). Now, onto some individual parts!
See not everyone has a plot each episode unlike tgd most of the time so this is easier but also harder lik
Marjan, Paul, Mateo, Nancy - I LOVE YOU GUYS 🥰🥰🥰🥰 SO MUCH :DDDDD!!! You are my babeys and my children and I love you <3. 'Nough said <3.
XD Just kidding lol. They were all hilarious as always - Nancy catching Tommy in her flirting, lol, that was amazing xD - and had some great scenes/bits of scenes together :)). The very beginning and the Sharknado bit are great examples just off the top of my head lol! And of course, they were great at their jobs :D 🥰🥰❤️.
Also, the three amigos being disgusted in the background after that fairground kiss and Nancy being disgusted in the foreground? Amazing, lol.
Now! Tommy :)). And this new guy! IIII already forgot his name lol. But AAAAHH!!! Meet cute much :DD?? Tommy was of course amazing and an icon this episode, and her and that new guy were so cute :D. Plus her panic and dread at the end was hilarious XD. I like him WAY better than Julius (why did I even bring that up so now I have to think about it augh 😭😭😭), so there's that right off the bat lol xD. He's already got that on his side - that he's NOT JULIUS XDD. Anyway, lol, it's gonna be hilarious, I think, and interesting to see where this goes 👀. Poor Tommy at the end there though, girl is s u f f e r i n g xDD.

Nonetheless, it looks like it'll an interesting and dramatic time, so I'm here for it :DD. Also Judd just laughing along for the ride lol xDD. Icon. But, though I say that, he was there for Owen the whole time as well :). That talk after the bar with the two of them was really sweet <33 🥰. They're besties, your honor :DD. Oh, and of course they also slayed at their jobs today :))).
And yeah, like I said lol: don't worry Owen - I'm sure you'll have plenty of dragons to slay soon xD.
Grace! Icon, amazing, love you girl 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️. Sometimes I just love seeing Grace's little "hold up" moments and confused faces at some of the 9-1-1 calls lol XDD. Anyway, she also was amazing at her job this episode, as always :DDD 🥰🥰🥰. Can't wait to see more of her :).

Anyway! I love love love love LOVED them this episode 🥰🥰🥰🥰. They had so many great scenes 😭😭😭. I am a liiiittle but disappointed we didn't get a kiss, but eh, whatever :D. We got so much besides that lol, and I'm fine with that xD. Even if some of it was angst xdd. I mean, it's still a better start than last season LOL XDD.

Anyway lol xD. Oh, and of course I'll also be talking about Iris here in this section, but I'm not really considering her as getting her own, since she's not like one of the mains yk lol, I'll just be talking about her here xD. So, continuing on, y'all they are so adorable 😭😭😭. And even though it killed me, I love me some angst, so I'm doing great lol. I mean, it wasn't THAT bad so I probably would've just been like, gravely injured (nah I'd be dead lol) if I didn't love angst, but still XD.
Anyway y'all I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY PLAYED US LIKE THAT!!! We all (well so many people anyway) said that that was too obvious, and that Iris wouldn't come back, and then that she probably wasn't the secret/it wasn't about her but she helped lead them to it or something (I considered that anyway and I know some other people did), and they PROVED. US. WRONG. XDDD. I did consider several times that maybe they would do that, it would be just obvious and crazy enough to be likely, but I didn't want it to be this so I didn't think about it much xDD.
And I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved the scenes in this episode, and I'm sure I'll continue to love this plot, I just wish it was something a little more fancy. And also that Carlos hadn't been married before lol. But, it was for kind of okayyy reasons, and good reasons to keep it - although Carlos, no offense, not to hurt you lol, but if had checked in sooner you would've known she didn't need the insurance anymore sooner xdd. But! Hey, it's in the past lol. Anyway, not my first choice for a secret, but I think it's really interesting and it'll be a fun (if not very literally) plotline :D.
And also just- AAAHHHHH THEY'RE GETTING MARRIED 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😭😭❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Y'all I literally can't handle this 🥰🥰 :'DDD. It's t h e m 😍😍🥰. All the wedding planning stuff and what not - aGH, it's so cute :'DDD 😭😭🥰. I'm so excited and I love them so much :))).
I am still scared for this storyline though lol xD.
But nah, I know it'll all work out fine lol. And I know I said nah but it actually doesn't stop me from being scared XDD.
Oh and lastly WE GET THE KISS NEXT EPISODEEEEE AAAHHHHHH and also AHHHH THAT HOLDING SCENE 😭😭😭😭. Like where TK was holding Carlos's face (or like neck or smth idk I was busy freaking out xD) :'))). If I remember correctly it was also that "I love you" scene from the promo? I don't know, like I said I was busy freaking out lol, but I'm pretty sure it was :'DDDD 🥰🥰🥰. Amazing, I love them so much, I am not at all ready and also so ready for this season :DDD. Let's do this :'))).
Overall, I really loved this episode! I thought the rescues/calls were cool and interesting, I loved seeing everybody again, and the disaster was super cool and unique :DD. I'm so happy to have my babeys back 🥰🥰. All the group scenes were hilarious, the plots were interesting and set up more cool stuff for the future, and the tarlos content was top notch :'DD xD. I think Owen's will be the main drama, obviously, but I'm looking forward to seeing where Tommy's goes. And I'm super excited for TK and Carlos's :D. I think this episode was an amazing start to what's sure to be an awesome season!!
So yeah! Such a great episode, I'm so glad we're back. I'm interested to see where this all goes! This has been my review of. . .

Do not change Maomao!
This is the title of this long post. Omg the fanservice we got, the beautiful scenes in which we could see Maomaos happy face. Ahhhh I loved it again.
Make it obivous who he is, right? At this point we all should have a clue and to be honest this scene was also very interesting. The relationship between them is better described with "icy cold". Yeah, you see a smile on Jinshis face but he is more distant towards him.
She and her herbs. Her passion is so real and i can understand her 100%. Herbs are so interesting, I can´t wait to find out more about it. Maomao is a teacher to us and we can learn a lot from her. <3
He is truly a real father. The why I cried a little bit during this scene. This is Maomaos home, she is always welcomed and can go back anytime. He doesn´t have much but he has a lot of love for her. <3
Lol the way he blushed. Jinish-sama everything is written on your face. You can´t hide it anymore lol.
The way everyone blushed when they saw Maomao. It´s really interesting that a little change can activate this reaction and it was really obvious that Jinshi was getting annoyed by it and JEALOUS!!! OH HE IS SO JEALOUS AND REGRETS IT THAT EVERYBODY COULD SEE MAOMAO THIS WAY!!!!
His order was absolutely not a surprise. Now he understands why she puts freckles on her face. XDDDDDDD Oh my man.... aaaahhhhh I love him so much and I love it that he falls for Maomao more and more. My boy you can´t escape anymore but I truly doubt he wants to escape.
This face and we all know that he is planning something that Maomao won´t like. ahahahahahaha XDDDDDDDD
The fanservice was so real in this scene. They really went hard with Jinshi-sama in this scene. BUT I´m not complaining, keep going... I really really like it. (and everybody: when will we get our Jinshini hm? XDDD)
Wasted sex appeal... XDDDDD ah it´s so cute how Maomao doesn´t know it but it makes it so much funnier. XDDD
I bet for Jinshi it´s also very stressful when you can´t behave around people in a normal way without them to lust over you. I know it´s complaining on a very high ground but sometimes even a Jinshi doesn´t want to be reduced on his appearance. But the fact that Maomao explained it with insects made me cry. Oh my dear... XDDDDD
Weeellll my dear Maomao I won´t say it... you have to find it out for yourself but it´s great that she is questioning it because it´s very unnormal for his position or more like it´s something Maomao seems as unnormal.
Go away motherfucker. <---- no respect here. Just.... go away you creeper.... On my Blog and I'm aware of his story but i can't seem to like him, but i am a Person who can respect that people like him but for me there are some things that are not okay and this was way too much in my eyes. his obsession is too much because I look from the childs perspective (MaoMao) and I could understand her traumatic feelings. So don´t come at me and try to convince me to like him. It won´t work.
Oh they really went hard with Jinshis fanservice even in the ending and loved the change here. Beginning it´s dark and gives you a sad aura but after meeting Maomao his world becomes bright and sunny. Oh my gosh I´M NOT CRYING OKAY!!!! ( okay i´m crying)
All in all a very good episode. 10/10 and it was a great start for the second part. Ah, it will be dramatic again and I can´t wait to witness it with you. <3

Oooh my, your requests are freaking open???? I've got an idea in my head for a long time and now I give it a try and send it to you. I'm obsessed with Jake (and Bradley) x Roomie (fem reader or oc) trope, so apologies in advance for this one (also a sucker for hurt and comfort 😬). I try to keep it as short as possible: Rooster's and Hangman's new roomie has a sad past. She has sleeping issues and bad nightmares. They hear her whimpering and crying in her sleep. The guys are worried but she plays it down, feeling bad for waking them up with her shit. Maybe she starts to sleep walking and unfortunately hurts herself during this episode. The guys find her in the middle if the night hurt. And she opens up to them telling them about her dreams and her past.

“Are you going to eat these leftovers?” you asked Bradley, who was sitting at the kitchen island keeping you company as you cleaned out the fridge and he stared at the tupperware container for an infuriatingly long time, contemplating his options before you let out an exasperated sigh. “Bradshaw, it’s pasta. Yes or no?”
“No,” he finally answered. “You’re in a mood.”
“No mood, it would just be nice if you could be snappier in your responses while you just watch me clean the kitchen.”
“Yeah, definitely not in a mood,” he muttered under his breath but you heard it anyway. “Do you know where Hangman is?”
“You two share a bathroom and you still can’t call him by his name?” you asked with a chuckle. “He’s at the gym, should be back soon.”
“We only share a bathroom because you got the master,” he protested and you laughed again.
“I needed the bigger closet,” you shrugged. “I told you you’re welcome to use mine anytime.”
“After you reamed me for using your face wash? Thank you, but no thank you, I haven’t been yelled at like that since I borrowed my moms car to take Cindy Daniels on a date.”
“I only yelled because you used a forty dollar cleanser as body wash and somehow managed to use half the bottle. Besides, your mom was right to yell at you too, you stole her car and you were thirteen.”
“I was covered in grease! And my date with Cindy is none of your business.”
“Are we having the face wash fight again?” Jake asked as he came in through the garage, pressing a kiss to the top of your head as he reached around you to grab a bottle of water, but you only pushed him away, muttering something about keeping his sweat away from you. “Take the blame, Chicken, you wasted half a bottle of Drunk Elephant, you’re lucky she didn’t put you on the porch for the night.”
“See, the craziest thing about this whole situation is you were just as outraged as she was.”
“Good skincare is not just for women, you might want to invest in a routine of your own.” he smirked before disappearing down the hallway and you heard the sound of the shower turning on.
“You working tomorrow?” Bradley asked, getting up to wash the containers you’d placed near the sink.
You shook your head, “a Friday and Saturday off, Penny was feeling extra generous.” You’d met the two of them, along with the rest of the team, when they’d first gotten to town for the infamous and secretive mission that almost claimed the life of the man currently donning cherry-printed cleaning gloves and scrubbing pasta sauce out of tupperware. You’d all become fast friends, they’d coax you out from behind the bar on your breaks or when your shift was over for darts or pool, and when your lease was up just as they received word of a permanent assignment it seemed to make sense for the three of you to find a place together. It was a godsend for you, it got you out of your cramped apartment with dismal lighting and into a beautiful craftsman only a few blocks away from the beach. Even with arguments with Bradley about face wash and a sweaty Jake, it was a no-brainer.
“Could we convince you into coming to your place of work on a night off? These new recruits are testing our patience, Phoenix wants a fun night out to blow off steam.”
“I could potentially be persuaded,” you replied, shutting the fridge after deeming it was as cleared out as it was going to get.
“Which translates to as long as I’m not mixing them, I’ll always show up for drinks,” Jake said, walking back into the kitchen with freshly washed hair. “Do I get any kind of welcome home now that I’m not sweaty?”
“No, because now you’re wet, did you even dry off?” you asked, snapping him with a dish towel before he rounded the island and wrapped his arms around you.
“Enough,” he answered, squeezing you tight as you pretended to hate it. Really, you loved living with these two. Being on your own before was starting to take its toll on you, and they reminded you of a different time in your life, one that felt like it was ancient history. “Not to dampen the mood, but… we did want to talk to you about something.”
“Sounds serious, should I break out the house meeting wine?” you asked, eyeing them skeptically as they shared a look with each other that you couldn’t quite decipher.
“We just wanted to… check in,” Bradley started and you raised your eyebrows. “The past few weeks we’ve heard certain sounds coming from your room and-”
“Okay, first of all,-” you started to cut him off, eyes wide at what you thought he was insinuating.
“Not like that, sweetheart,” Jake interjected. “But feel free to get louder when you do,” he half-joked and you hit him with the towel again. “What bird boy is trying to say is sometimes we hear what sounds like nightmares coming from your room and it’s happened enough that we just want to check in and see if everything is okay.” You suddenly felt nauseous.
“If there’s something going on, or you need someone to talk to, you know we’re here, right?” Bradley asked and you nodded softly.
“I know, everything is fine, I’m sorry if I woke you.” you said, trying to dismiss their concerns altogether as you occupied yourself with looking over the mail.
“It’s just… it doesn’t sound fine, if you don’t want to talk to us we can help you find someone else to talk to, we just want to make sure you’re okay.” Jake tried and you gave him a forced smile.
“And I am, but I’m glad the two of you finally found something to agree on.” You tossed some junk mail in the garbage before turning to face them again, “I have some errands I want to run early tomorrow morning… text me if you need anything from the store but I’m going to turn in. Goodnight,” you said with another forced smile before heading down the hall and letting out a sigh as your back pressed against your closed bedroom door. You thought that things had gotten better… that enough time had passed. They seemed to be happening less and less, but maybe that wasn’t as true as you once thought.
Your footsteps down the hallway were an unusual sound for this time of night… nightmares or not, once you went to bed you weren’t seen until the following morning and it was enough to stir Jake from his slumber. You on the other hand, were completely unaware of what was going on, still stuck in a dream, stuck in a fluorescent lit hallway with tears streaming down your face only you weren’t… you were in your living room, walking straight into the console table and falling onto the broken glass of the picture frames and vases you’d knocked over which was enough to jolt both of them out of bed.
“Hey, hey, are you okay?” Bradley asked, crouching down beside you as you came to.
“Mav- Maverick?” you asked, voice hoarse as you struggled to place where you were, the images from your dream still fresh in your mind. He looked at Jake confused who was on the other side of you and carefully pushing glass aside.
“No, it’s Bradley… Honey, what happened?” You blinked a few times, finally recognizing you were on the floor of your living room and the searing pain of broken glass in your palms and knees.
“I don’t- oh my god. I’m so sorry,” you winced as you tried to stand but Jake was quick to scoop you up, holding you tight as he walked to the kitchen and carefully placed you next to the sink while Bradley grabbed the first aid kit. “I- I didn’t mean to wake you, I’m okay, you can go back to bed.” He just frowned at you and when Bradley returned he started pulling the shards from your palms while Jake worked on your knees. Silent tears were still streaming down your face and they were both trying to figure out how to ask you what was wrong, but one thing they knew for certain was no one was going back to bed until they got to the bottom of what was going on with you.
“Sweetheart, do you want to tell us what’s going on?” Jake asked softly, looking up briefly to meet your eyes before gently running his thumb along your cuts, making sure there weren’t any pieces he missed.
You shook your head as you wiped your cheeks, “nothing, I just… I don’t know, I guess I was half-asleep? I’m really sorry I woke you,” you said and they both looked at you like they didn’t believe a word of it.
“Alright, I was willing to maybe let it go before but you could have been seriously hurt tonight. Something is going on with you,” Jake said, voice firm as he stopped what he was doing to wipe a few of your tears.
“Whatever it is, you can tell us. Why did you say Maverick’s name when you woke up?” Bradley asked and you closed your eyes for a moment, taking in a deep breath before letting it all out.
“I uh… there’s something I never told you about me.” you started, taking a moment to breathe as you felt your throat tighten. They stayed quiet, both carefully dabbing at your cuts with a damp cloth or rubbing aquaphor over them before bandaging them. “I wasn’t a teacher before realizing I liked bartending more, I was a pilot.”
“Wait, what?” Bradley asked, shock evident in his tone and Jake elbowed him, eyes silently pleading for you to continue.
“My callsign is- or was Flash… like the superhero,” you chuckled but there wasn’t much humor in it and both of their eyes widened. “I was on a mission that went south really fast, we were outnumbered and outgunned, we ran out of resources quickly. I was hit, and I couldn’t… I couldn’t save it, I couldn’t save him.” you choked out.
“Who?” Bradley whispered, you were all cleaned up now and they were both focused solely on you. Jake was rubbing reassuring circles on your thigh as Bradley held one of your hands in his own.
“My wizzo, we called him Genie… we both got to our squad at the same time, and on our first night out his icebreaker was if you had three wishes, what would you wish for?” You laughed again, but this time it was genuine.
“I’ve heard of him,” Jake said, noticing your breathing quicken just at the mention of him. “Both of you, actually, from what I’ve heard you were a hell of a pilot.”
“He couldn’t eject, something went wrong with the handles… I’d already pulled mine when I heard him say they were stuck and the next thing I know the jet is crashing into a hillside below me. I thought the dreams were getting better, and that I was maybe starting to move past it… I don’t think I really registered that it was happening again, or maybe that it never stopped.”
“Honey, why didn’t you tell us this sooner?” Bradley asked, pushing a strand of hair behind your ear and you focused your gaze on your hands.
“I just… I didn’t want you to know that I failed my wizzo,” you choked out. “Or that the last time I was in a cockpit I nearly crashed again and Mav had to talk me through landing a plane I’ve landed thousands of times before because I panicked. I didn’t want you guys to censor yourselves when it came to work stuff out of pity for me being a failed pilot, and I guess… I just didn’t want you guys to look at me differently.”
“Hey, what happened wasn’t your fault,” Jake said, squeezing your thigh gently and prompting you to look up at him. “And we would never look at you differently for that, we understand.”
“I’m so sorry you went through that… and just know that we don’t think of you as a failure. We’ve both heard about that mission, there was nothing you could have done. Faulty equipment and being outgunned is not your burden to bear.” Bradley added, running a hand along your back.
“What is it that you say sometimes? It’s not the plane, it’s the pilot?” you asked, sadness seeping into your tone and he just pulled you into his side and pressed a kiss to your head.
“There’s not much the pilot can do if the plane fails them.”
“You went through a trauma, we would never fault you for not flying again after that.” Jake said and you smiled softly.
“Mav could… god, he tried so hard, he was really there for me after it happened, but… when I finally got back into a plane I just couldn’t shake it. It was like I could still hear him in my backseat even though he wasn’t there.”
“Just because Mav could, that doesn’t mean you’re a lesser pilot or a lesser person for not being able to, if anything I think it makes you stronger. You knew your limits, and instead of pushing through it when you couldn’t trust flying again you took a step back. I know a lot of people who wouldn’t make that same choice.” Bradley said, nudging Jake and you let out a laugh as you wiped your face again.
“Yeah, I thank my lucky stars I never crossed this one’s path when I was still flying,” you said and Jake’s face twisted up in shock.

“You make it so easy,” you teased and they both smiled, happy to see you coming back into yourself a little.
“We’re here for you, okay? So is everyone else,” Bradley said, pulling you into him again and you let yourself wrap your arms around him as you laid your head on his chest and Jake kept rubbing circles into your skin.
“No matter what, you can always come wake us up if you need someone.”
“I love you guys, you know that?”
You could hear the smirk in Jake’s voice as he said, “oh, we know.” He wrapped himself around the other side of you as the two of them squished you between them. “We love you too.”

‼️SPOILERS FOR GENLOSS FINALE‼️
I'm goin on a mini rant for this one boys.
Generation loss episode three: The Choice is such an extremely well made horror film. It's such a fucking masterpiece. The subtle hits to things, the title of the episode being a play on words with not only with the choices Ranboo makes before the end and the chat chosing to kill Ranboo or keep him alive. The music. THE FUCKING MUSIC AHHHH. The tragedy. The heartbreak. The feeling of there could possibly be hope but it's futile in the end. The acting from the main cast (Props to Charlie the fucking goat). Just AHHHHHGGGG. I could go on about this fucking show for hours. There are just to many thoughts and eastereggs and such love and care put into this fucking show. I'm screaming at the wall. This show is a fucking masterpiece.

I am going crazy watching Lassiter hang out with Henry. Not only does Henry call Shawn "princess" and no one objects out of himself, Gus, and Lassiter, but the telling about the raccoon story and the smile on Carlton's face!?! Ahhhh. This is so father-in-law bonding time coded. I cannot. Lassiter is on Henry's fridge. Sorry, but I'm watching pysch for the first time and Shassie occurred to me for the first time during the speed dating episode and I found all the stuff on here, (tumblr) and I just cannot. They are such a good ship and I love it.

Episode 7 synopsis, “Well, Isami?! What do you do in a situation like this?”
Superbia, which should have been defeated on the Hawaiian Islands, stands in front of the multinational task force (ATF) again. At the same time, new Death Drives also start to move, and Isami and Bravern fight back. Smith succeeded in temporarily suppressing Superbia with an all-out attack, but (he) was on the verge of death (ahhhh??????!!!) after destroying Titan Stride (TS).
Definitely curious about this development. If Lewis would be hurt, what would Isami do? Does the title pertain to it? And what is Lulu? What will happen to “her”?

Nightmare Nightmore Highlights.
I'm not gonna recap or analyze the episode too much I just wanna share a few of my favorite things! Not really any spoilers, if you've already seen the leaks of Abbey and her mom floating around then you're all caught up.
Draculaura is throwing a party for the holiday of Nightmore, but I couldn't possibly care less. I'm here for Abbey!
Heath has the same reaction to seeing Abbey for the first time as a lot of us did. in Awe of her beauty. same dude, same.
She towers over everyone! even the boys! I am in love!
Draculaura is like a smurf compared to tall powerful Abbey.
Abbey's eyes aren't purple anymore, they are brown! and so pretty! breaks up the abundance of purple in her hair and outfit I am super into it!
Abbey's hair blend is the colors of the Bi flag and I have no choice but to stan.
Mama Bominable threatening to bring forth a cold harsh merciless winter upon Bloodgoods head if she doesn't produce Abbey is such a mood. I love me a good mama bear.
WHERE IS NIGHTMARE!? why is this messenger dragon hanging out in Bloodgood's office but her horse isn't!? The episode even has nightmare in the title but I see no Nightmare the horse. I don't like it. A headless horse person without their horse is just a zombie... why are you booing me? I'm right!
Draculaura already has her license in this gen? I'm here for it! Also Clawd chose to sit next to her. Also Clawd said "nailed it like a coffin" which was only ever said in G1 by Clawdeen and that makes me happy.
This is the second or third episode where Lagoona inexplicably has flat teeth, the music video for her doll did this too. I'm not exactly a professional animator but I've studied it enough to know that rendering characters off model is a fire-able offense. Fix it Nickelodeon.
Heath encouraging Abbey to use her ice powers telling her she is strong, charismatic and beautiful. ahhhh! my heart!... I've mentioned on here I'm not much of a shipper per-se. But that was a lie, Habbey was one of my OG ships and it brings me such joy to see them again! I needed this since the only Heath we got during G2 was this:

Yeti's in this universe seem to basically be water benders and I am okay with that! Mama Bominable is fuckin pissed! LOL Bye Bloodgood it's been nice knowing you!
Damn, Abbey's dad didn't contribute any genetics to that her at all. Mama Bominables genes were like "this is MY child!" I do love that she has horns and a more pronounced underbite, perhaps Abbey will get these traits as she grows? Or maybe her buns are hiding her horns? IDK but it's fun to imagine! I wonder where they got the idea to give their yeti Horns... HMMMMMMM
it's a mystery, we'll never know.
This isn't even a highlight I'm just taking pictures of Mama Bominabe at this point, I love a strong woman willing to murder the school principle for her daughters safety.
SHE CALLED ABBEY SNOW ANGEL AHHHHHH- I'm sorry I just had to get that out.
The boy is in love! .... And he actually says something really profound. I'm so impressed G3 is giving Heath some depth and not just making him a one note idiot... Don't get me wrong, I liked one note idiot Heath but there was more to him than that.
Heath trying to kiss Abbey on the first day of meeting her is absolutely a G1 call back.
in her intro episode he kissed her hand and his lips froze off.
I love everything about this episode! I love that Abbey is Nepali! it's way more accurate to her Monster type and before some nerd tries to get in the replies and go "Actually Russia occupied Nepal at one point" that's true, they did BUT! the myth of the Yeti originated in 1937, Russia didn't occupy the Himalayas until the 1960's.
This episode is my new favorite! I heard a rumor that we won't get any new Monster High episodes until after the new year, but if they are anything like this? they will be worth the wait!

It was a beautiful day in the bays of a local island. The ocean rested calm against the boat with its beautiful turquoise color. The Revenge was docked off the coast of the island with most of her crew off to explore the island and its shops.
Aboard the Revenge is her Captains of course, Stede and Ed, as well as their two Littles Izzy and Y/N.
It had been an interesting story how the four had met. Y/N is Stede’s Little before he had met Ed and Izzy. They had left it all to pursue their shared dream of being pirates! Then they had met Blackbeard and Izzy during a crazy battle. Little did they know their four worlds would be changed forever.
Ed and Stede fell in love meaning Y/N and Izzy became sibling Littles, which at first was a bit rocky. The two come from different worlds, both have different headspaces and both are very different people.
They fought and they argued often. But strangely, after Stede and Ed sent them on a friendship mission to get fruit on a random island, when they returned…they were the best of friends. (A fic for another day possibly👀)
Stede and Ed never questioned, just happy to see their Littles were close to one another. Izzy was proud to be Y/N big brother. He liked showing them the ropes of pirating as well as being the protective older sibling.
Y/N enjoyed being the younger sibling too. They learned a lot of things following Izzy along. Plus they taught Izzy a thing or two, like it was okay to accept comfort and to let himself be vulnerable around them and their Caregivers.
And in return Stede and Ed became the two’s permanent Caregivers. Ed took on the title of Papa for both Littles. Stede took on the tittle of Dadee with Y/N, and Dad with Izzy. Both nicknames being chosen by their Littles of course.
Today with most of the crew off-ship, the Littles has a chance to really let loose and play around the ship without causing trouble for anyone else.
Ed and Stede sat on the main deck drinking tea and watched as Y/N and Izzy ran around playing sword fight with one another. Ed recently bought the two wooden swords. That way they didn’t seriously hurt one another when regressed.
“This is my ship and you’re trespassing!” Izzy yelled as he held his sword towards Y/N.
“I’m the new owner of this ship! So it is you who is trust-passing.” Y/N yelled back.
“It’s trespassing darling.” Stede helped.
“Oh, right. It’s you who’s tres-pass-ing!” Y/N corrected, taking the time to carefully say it properly.
Stede and Ed couldn’t help but smile at their Littles who ran around the ship giggling and clinking sword together.
“Me and my first mate Papa found this ship far and square.” Y/N ran over and pulled Ed arm. Ed gladly played along, putting his tea cup down and standing beside Y/N.
“That’s right, we found this ship first.” Ed smirked.
“Oh yeah?” Izzy then joined in the fun, pulling on Stede’s arm to join him. “Well my first mate said we saw this ship first so it’s ours.”
Stede happily joined in the fun. Putting his tea cup down and standing beside Izzy with his hands on his hip. “That’s right, my captain here found this ship before anyone else. And I was there to see it.”
“There! That otta sort things out. So if you’re on our ship uninvited then you’re our prisoners!” Izzy leaned against the side railing of the ship.
“Not too close to the edge of the ship Iz.” Ed called out.
While Izzy was distracted with what their Papa was saying, Y/N took off to another part of the ship.
When Izzy realized Y/N had disappeared he stomped his foot, “Damnit!”
“Izzy! Language!” Both Ed and Stede corrected.
Izzy muttered a small apology and quickly hid his eye roll before he took off on the hunt for Y/N.
He checked the ships kitchen, no Y/N. He checked their shared bedroom, no Y/N. He even checked the captain’s quarters, no Y/N.
Now Izzy was getting frustrated. Their game wasn’t hide and seek! It was sword fighting!! He was the oldest, he chooses the game!
Just as he was about to check another area of the ship when he noticed the bathroom door slightly open. He inched his way over, planning to jump in and scare Y/N, but the bathroom was empty.
But inside was a clue to what might’ve happened. On the wooden floor sat a puddle next to the toilet. Izzy sighed, his frustration leaving him and being replaced with worry for his sibling.
He followed on, looking to the top deck where the ship’s wheel was. There sitting in a ball was Y/N, softly crying to themselves.
Izzy put his sword down and made his way over to his sibling. “Y/N, it’s alright. It’s just an accident.”
To be honest he didn’t understand why they were upset to begin with. Their headspace was younger than his so he knew they were prone to accidents from time to time. Izzy himself never teased or made fun of it, knowing that he himself had an accidents on the occasion.
“It’s not just an accident Iz. I was supposed to be big today.” They turned around and faced him. “I told Papa I wanted to be big like you today and that I didn’t need to wear protection. But I couldn’t make it to the bathroom in time.”
Izzy listened on, taking a seat on the floor across from Y/N. “You know Papa and Dad won’t be mad or disappointed in you for having an accident. They see it all the time. I’m sure they’ll-.”
“No! I don’t want them to know.” Y/N casted their eyes down.
Izzy sat back a bit, looking at Y/N confused. Their light brown pants were now a darker shade of brown around their inner legs. Anyone could clearly take one look at them and see that they had an accident.
“Well…it’s going to be a bit hard to hide this.”
“What am I going to do Izzy? Do you have any ideas?”
Izzy was about to say no, but then an idea popped into his head, a rather crazy but workable idea.
He quickly stood up, “I have an idea, but you’re going to have to trust me on this one.” He held his hand out for Y/N to take.
Y/N looked at him quizzically, sure they trusted him…but they didn’t trust the look in his eye at the moment. Regardless they took his hand, “I trust you.”
Izzy smirked, “Good, now follow my lead.”
He led them over to the side of the ship. There he picked them up and sat them on the railing. With a quick glance to Papa and Dad making sure they weren’t paying attention, he continued on.
“Izzy…what’s the idea you had in mind?” Y/N asked after a moment, still patiently sitting on the railing.
“Well I was thinking, how can they see your accident if you’re soaking wet all over? CATCH!”
Before the idea had even had a change to click into Y/N’s head, Izzy threw a sack of potatoes towards them. Y/N caught the potato’s but the momentum threw them off and sent them overboard, splashing into the water below.
Ed and Stede stood up and rush to the side of the ship as Y/N lifted their head from under the water.
“Y/N?! Are you okay?!” Stede quickly yelled out.
Y/N nodded their head, “I think I’m okay Dadee.” They called back up.
“Oh no! I’ll save them!” Izzy called out from the top deck.
Before Ed or Stede even had a chance to let out a single word against it, Izzy had thrown his sword, boots and gloves off to the side and jumped over the railing into the water below.
But his heroics were met with an angry Y/N who splashed and pushed him in the water. “Are you kidding me? Throwing me overboard?! Are you crazy?!”
“I think a thank you is in order! After all I fixed your problem.”
“By knocking me overboard?!”
“Are your pants wet?”
“MY WHOLE BODY IS WET!”
“See? No accident in sight. You’re wel-.” Izzy was interrupted to a mouth full of sea water as Y/N splashed him.
“You could have just dumped a bucket on me!”
“If you had all the brilliant ideas then why did you ask me?”
“Because I didn’t have any ideas of my own but I didn’t think your idea would involve me getting thrown overboard!”
SPLASH!
Right between the two of them splashed Ed, who jumped into the water after the Littles.
“Papa!” Y/N said swimming over to him, Izzy not far behind.
“No need to worry. Papa’s come to get his little trouble makers,” Ed joked, “Come on you two, Dad’s putting the ladder down for us any second now.”
Right on schedule Stede threw the ladder over the side of the ship for the three of them to climb. Ed helped Izzy first, then he helped Y/N, before climbing up himself.
Once on the desk Stede wrapped Izzy, then Y/N in nice warm towels. Truth be told, the water was nice and warm but with the fall weather the air had a cold crisp to it.
Y/N was shivering, wrapped tightly in their towel. Izzy was trying to play it off but Stede could see right through the act.
Soon Ed climb aboard and grabbed the last towel from Stede.
“We’re going to have a chat about what happened. But first I want you two dry before you catch a cold.”
With Izzy’s hand in one and Y/N’s in the other, Stede led the two Little’s into the captain’s quarters to be taken care of. Ed followed along, drying his hair with the towel.
“Now you two wait here while I gather your things.” Stede placed a towel on the ground infront of the fireplace. He had them sit while he grabbed some supplies for the two of them.
Ed stayed behind, helping the two start drying their hair while they waited for Stede’s return. “Alright you little rascals. Let Papa dry your hair.”
The only thing is, Ed is a bit rough when it comes to drying their hair so Izzy and Y/N were trying to squirm away.
Ed chuckled, “Come on! Stay still!”
Stede popped into the Little’s room to grab them some fresh dry clothes. Instead of regular clothing he decided upon pajamas for the both of them, hoping the soft textures will be enough to entice them to take an afternoon nap.
With arms full of clothing he started to make his way back to the cabin when he noticed the bathroom door open. He shook his head, no one on this ship remembers to close the bathroom door.
But when he went to close the door, something caught his eye inside the bathroom. Then suddenly the accidental overboard business was starting to make sense.
Stede grabbed a mop and quickly tidied the mess up before closing the door. With another pit stop at the Little’s room once more for an extra item or two, he made his way back to his room.
Sitting on the couch were his now less damp Littles and his husband, trying his best to get the fussy Littles all cleaned up.
“Alright everyone, I come barring dry clothes for the two of you. But before we get you two changed, what exactly happen?”
Y/N and Izzy froze. They looked at each other worried.
Stede continued on, “One moment you were playing swords and the next Y/N was falling overboard. How did this happen?”
Izzy cooled his features. With a look of I’ve got this to Y/N, he started to explain, “You see, Y/N and I were playing but then we got tired of that game. So we started playing catch. Y/N sat on the railing as I would throw things back and forth to them. But I overthrew a sack of potatoes and when they grabbed it the weight of the sack sent them flying off the ship.”
Stede looked confuses, “You threw them a sack of potatoes to catch?”
Izzy shrugged, “I thought they could catch it.”
Stede crossed his arms and shook his head, “Izzy, you know that was too heavy for Y/N to catch. Roach is going to be very disappointed his sack of potatoes is at the bottom of the sea too.”
Ed crossed his arm and looked at me, “And Y/N, you know the rules. You’re not allowed to sit on the railing under any circumstances. It’s too dangerous and this just proves it.”
Tears started to collect in Y/N’s eyes. They didn’t want to be in trouble, but they didn’t want Izzy to get in trouble with the truth out. So they nodded their head and wipes their tears away, “I forgot Papa. I’m sorry.”
Ed always tries to be the tough one, but seeing Izzy or Y/N upset crumbles him to the ground. “Awwww, it’s alright Y/N. There’s no need to be upset. I think this whole situation is enough of a lesson as to why we don’t sit on the railings, right?”
Y/N sniffed and nodded their head. “Never again.”
Stede decided to step in, “Ed, could you take Izzy’s clothes and help him get changed in our bathroom? I’ll help Y/N get changed out here.”
Ed nodded, having a sense of what Stede was doing. They both needed a little moment away for some added comfort. So he took Izzy’s hand and led him off to the bathroom.
Once alone with Y/N, Stede leaned forward and wiped their tears away. “There, there, darling. You’re okay. Everything is okay.”
“Let’s get you out of these wet clothes.” Stede both said and asked. Y/N nodded before Stede started to help them.
The lie started to eat away at Y/N. Before Stede even had a chance of asking about the accident, they spoke up.
“I’m sorry Dadee.”
“Sorry about what?” He asked as he continued.
“Izzy is just covering up for me. Everything he said was true…but he purposely threw the potatoes at me so I would fall into the ocean. I asked him to.”
Stede stopped and looked at Y/N confused for a moment. But then the final piece of the puzzle set into place.
Stede nodded with a hum, “Would that be because a certain someone had an accident?”
Y/N didn’t say a word, just nodded their head as tears began to fall.
“Oh darling, there no need to be upset. Papa and I would never be upset with you over an accident.” Stede tried to reassure.
“It’s my fault! I told Papa I didn’t need to wear protection this morning because I wanted to be big like Izzy. But I’m not!” Y/N cried out.
“Y/N, Papa wouldn’t have been upset if you had an accident today. What did I tell you before we met Izzy?”
Y/N sniffed and wiped a couple of tears away, “I don’t remember.”
“I said not to compare your headspace to his. He is a lot older than you. But that doesn’t mean he’s any better or worse than you. It just means his needs are going to be different from your needs and that’s okay.”
“It’s okay if you have accident and need to wear protection. Papa and I are well prepared and are happy to accommodate your needs, just as we do for Izzy.” Stede explained.
“So you’re not mad?” Y/N shyly asked.
“No of course I’m not mad, only worried. I don’t want you to feel as though you need to hide away every time you have an accident. From now on I want you to find Papa or I right away. Understood?”
Y/N nodded their head, the relief starting to show in their face.
“Good. Now I leave it to you, would you like to wear a little bit of extra protection for the rest of today or would you prefer not to?” Stede asked. “I won’t judge you, norwill anyone on this ship. It’s not about what everyone else needs, it’s about what you need.”
“Could…could I wear a pull-up…just incase.” Y/N asked, a bit shy.
Stede nodded, “Of course, just incase.” He winked.
Stede helped Y/N finish getting changed. Once dressed in their pajamas, he lifted them up into his arms and held them in a tight hug.
“I adore you more than all the grains of sand in the ocean or all the fish in the sea.”
Y/N held Stede tightly, “I love you too Dadee. Thank you.”
Stede chucked, “You never need to thank me darling. I’m happy to be here for you and so is Papa.”
The two stayed like that, just having a nice moment together. Stede held Y/N tightly in his arms, rocking and swaying them back and forth. There nothing Stede loved more than holding his little one close. Well, second only to Ed.
And speaking of him…
Ed and Izzy emerged from the bathroom soon after. Izzy held Ed’s hand and stuck close to him, dressed in pajama with Ed dressed in more comfortable clothes too.
“I tried to convince this one that we were all taking a nap, but someone doesn’t believe me.”
“We can’t all take a nap. Who would watch the ship?! Plus I’m not even tirreeedddd.” Izzy dramatically said.
“Israel,” Stede called out, “The ship will be fine. You and Y/N could use a little rest before everyone gets back before dinner.”
“Could you…read us a book Dad?” Izzy shyly asked Stede.
Stede’s face lit up to the request, “Of course I can. Why don’t you help me pick a book while Papa gets the bed ready for all of us?”
Izzy happily nodded along before darting to the mini library on the other side of the room. Stede traded off Y/N from his arms to Ed’s, who happily accepted the sleepy Little.
“Papa!” Y/N happily said, wrapping their arms around him.
“My little sweetheart. You ready for a little nap?” Ed said, rocking them the same way Stede bad before.
“Yeah,” They said with a yawn, “Papa cuddle?” Truth be told Ed had some of the best cuddles.
Ed chuckled, “Of course sweetheart. Where would I be without my little cuddle bug?”
While Stede and Izzy went through the library looked for the absolute best story, Ed and Y/N got comfortable in bed cuddling together. But Y/N sat up for a moment.
“Papa…Izzy was just covering up for me today. I just didn’t want you to know I had an accident after trying to be big. I’m sorry I lied to you.”
Ed chuckle a little, “I figured as much. That sounds like Izzy.”
But then he shook his head, “There’s no need to be sorry. You know I don’t care about something as little as an accident. I’ll love you the same way whether you have one or a thousand accidents. I would be lost without my little cuddle bug.”
With a kiss to the top of their head, everything felt right in the world again. Y/N cuddles closer to Ed. His arm wrapped around their shoulders, their head placed gently on his chest. It really was the truth, he always gives the best cuddles.
The rest of the afternoon went peacefully for the four. All of them cuddled together in their big bed listening as Stede read one of his fairy tale novels.
Within two minutes, Y/N was asleep against Ed, satisfied and comfortable being their own Little with their own headspace. Izzy, despite not being tired, fell asleep half way through the story, cuddled close to Stede.
Stede looked over at Ed and Ed looked over at Stede as their Littles slept. They just smirked and shook their heads.
“Did Izzy tell you the truth?” Stede whispered.
“Oh yeah. While we were getting changed he told me what really went on. How about you?”
“Y/N has never been good at lying, especially when regressed and especially when it’s with the two of us.”
Again the two shook their heads. They truly loved their troublemakers through and throughout. They would change a thing about them, loving them just the way they were.

my japanese isn't good enough so i can't tell for sure if wolfwood actually says "deer" (it doesn't sound like it, but the kansai dialect could be throwing me off) or this was just the translator using a metaphor without thinking about the implications. how does he know what a deer is. (he doesn't say "deer" in the dub, ftr)
conrad's exposition dump about his motivations is... a lot... he thinks he's doing good, working towards a better future, but meryl and roberto rightfully call bs lmao.
it's just... okay, we don't know exactly what happened with him and tesla. we only have the photo with the two of them, and the flashback to her discovery by the twins, but... it seems like this adaptation of conrad was combined with the other scientists on ship five. so now instead of conrad being the only ally to rem against the other scientists' experiments on tesla, he became the person who did the experiments in the first place. and that's just so... i don't know. to atone for tesla, he's... doing more unethical experiments?? he's doubling down??
knives is the king of hypocrisy and doubling down, too, and the king of the sunk cost fallacy... i'm not making excuses for knives, especially not for his current behavior, but he was very young when all this started. so it's easier to understand why and how he became the way he is. but conrad's a grown ass man.
he's trying to make humans more like plants, and the way he talks to meryl and roberto about knives it's clear that he views humans as an inferior species. and even when expressing regret over what happened with tesla, it's like he doesn't see Why what he did to tesla was Bad. if he truly understood that, he wouldn't be doing more unethical experiments in the first place. in his eyes, independent plants went from being below him (as something to experiment on) to being above him (as something humanity must aspire to) and it's equally dehumanizing (for lack of a better word). and now he views himself as above humanity; humanity is "imperfect" and in need of repair, and he's the one to... bring them salvation or whatever.
also i wonder if the kids in jars are gonna come back in the future as actual characters...
a plant-human hybrid with homophobia in her eyes...
i've said this before. i'll say it again. elendira ii is nothing like elendira i. she is a completely different character to me. it's not just her physical appearance, it's her personality, her emotions... wherever elendira i is i hope she's lounging with a margarita as her little sister/clone wreaks havoc or whatever.
i do think it's fun to see her shooting a bunch of nails though. i'll give her that.
i just don't understand her at all... she gets upset about being perceived as a child and plays a childish act to manipulate her opponents but also does genuinely act like a child sometimes? what is orange planning. why. giving her plant powers to explain her endless supply of nail-ammo is one thing but they added so much on top it's taking her in a really weird direction. give me trimax elendira back.
aaaand roberto's dead. o7 still not a character i'm super attached to but i appreciate his observation skills and his jokes.

oh the emotional manipulation... but i think knives is hitting some truth about vash, namely that he is driven primarily by his guilt (aaaand knives is just making that guilt worse). and it's something vash is afraid of acknowledging.

the impression i get from knives and conrad's working relationship is that... conrad is helping knives with the plant dimensional stuff, and in exchange knives just kind of lets conrad do what he wants...? like i don't see why knives would care about conrad's "humanity enhancing" experiments - humans are lesser than himself, no matter what. even if they're ostensibly for the sake of lessening the burden on plants... just killing humanity would have the same effect and would be way faster. and his current plan is just ignoring humanity and gathering the plants not caring about how it affects them... because he doesn't care!
i dunno i've just seen people talk about EoM and their experiments and everything as if it's directly knives's fault, but i don't think he's dictating any of this so much as just... letting it happen. outside of anything that directly advances his higher-dimension-connection plan, i don't think he would care enough about whatever else they're doing. in the manga too, iirc, the cults that formed around knives weren't something that he made, it was more like they were formed around him regardless of his own input. ofc enabling it all is still BAD but all of this is more on conrad's shoulders than anyone else's imo.

this ended up being an unintentional observation, but we still haven't really seen a full view of knives's face in the present day. we see it in flashbacks, but every time knives has been on screen in the present his face has been partially concealed...

is Farscape the sort of thing that takes a few episodes to find its groove? should i be patient if we're not besties right away?
(i'm prone to snap judgements and don't want to make a mistake here)
Ahhhh so Farscape can be a WILDLY interesting study in complete contradictions. I agree with everything Cat Valente says is brilliant about it in this thread and this very long and detailed essay about why you should watch Farscape and yet also I will sit there fast-forwarding great chunks of season one especially because the quality control from episode to episode is so wildly variable. When I say variable, I mean some episodes feel embarrassingly amateur at times, especially after twenty something years of higher budget, vaguely more evolved TV SF. Occasionally it doesn't know what show it's trying to be, or what show it was the previous episode. It has a terrible weakness for bad puns in episode titles. It can be trite. It can feel weirdly childish, for a show that is frequently about aliens fucking. It's really really very silly on occasion and I have a particularly very low tolerance for second hand embarrassment. Farscape can be frequently embarrassing, but the fact I'm still flailing about it after twenty something years despite that is kind of significant.
Because when it's good, it's so incredibly fucking high quality excellent. It's got all the chemistry, all the high stakes heists and the high melodrama sacrifice, all the dealing with grief and trauma and how do you deal with a legacy of repeated genocide and fascism. Everyone is a space criminal on a stolen sentient prison ship. What the fuck even is the greater good. How do you deal with being a parent. Most of the cast are emoting through inch thick layers of foam latex and the other half are wearing fetish gear (OR THEY'RE PUPPETS. OR CGI ORGANIC SENTIENT SPACESHIPS), but they're really fucking good at said emoting and it's still heartbreaking. It's been twenty years and I will still start crying if I so much as hear the season three version of the theme tune (oh god the theme song evolution).
The silly episodes throughout season one are even weirder because it does pretty much find its feet straightaway with the pilot ep - it's snappy and emotional and charming and clever, and yes the tropes are there but the tropes didn't have quite the same level of tired significance back in 1999? I watched that first ep and was cackling over how fucking fantastic it was. It was such a refreshing change in 1999 that it sailed me through any of the occasionally dodgy stuff that followed.
It's also very very... Aussie, which to me covers a lot of the humour and the sheer demented glee of what the creators wanted to run with? The cast has chemistry, in spades, and the characters flirt and fuck (and... one of them is a hot blue zen plant priestess who orgasms in bright light. Obviously.) and everything is just a little bit.. extra. It has an episode where everyone is a loony tunes cartoon. It has an episode inspired by A Clockwork Orange. It has small stabby robots. It's squelchy and makes fart jokes ALL THE TIME (mostly because one of the main puppets is a former emperor who farts helium and okay yep it's pretty funny. The other puppet is wise and kind and troubled and possibly complicit in war crimes. This fucking show I can't even).
...I'm just going to apologise for this essay, and say probably go read the Cat Valente thing because it includes much more key whether you should in fact watch Farscape information such as:
“They’re all gonna be Australian or Kiwi! Except for one guy! It’s basically gonna be a tour of Sydney’s underground club scene, even for the smallest parts! And I mean that, everyone is going to be wearing leather BDSM gear 24/7, even the heroes. I’M TELLIN’ YA WE GOT MAGDA SZUBANSKI! THIS THING IS GOLD! Literally, the whole color palette is like really gold. With most of a Crayola box taped on top of it. SPACE IS AUSTRALIAN NOW. ALL OF IT. DEAL WITH IT.”
there will be an almost unbelievable amount of goo involved. Like if there is a Goo Department, and anyone is left over after Nickelodeon’s job fair last week, we need all the goo.”
“Because of all the sex and violence that just barely doesn’t cross the decency lines we’re still kind of feeling out right now?”
“That, too. But mostly because we need all the makeup and then after we’re done turning regular humans a TON of nutbar colors, everything else is going to be just…dripping. All the time. Just drenched in slime. Good slime, bad slime, it will constantly be hard to say. But it’s like Coco Chanel always said, before you leave the house, look in the mirror and upend a bucket of colorful sludge over your head.”

I’m really of two minds about the Pikelan direction they’re going in: I think it aids Scanlan in that it emphasizes his need to deflect sincerity with comedy. However, I think it really detracts from Pike in that campaign-Pike thinks Scanlan is funny. She likes his jokes. A lot of pike’s s1 arc in TLOVM feels inconsistent with her dislike of Scanlan’s crass side- like it’s very in her nature to find this stuff funny. Not that she can’t also like the sincere side, which she does, but just that I think her side of this narrative is making her character seem flatter than it should, especially when you group it with the fact she’s been given a lot of Kiki’s campaign personality traits
the drug trip scene is funny but was it necessary. there’s 8 minutes left where is saundor. or syldor. Where is the Vex focus. Maybe,, they’ll stay in the feywild for e8 while grog and gnomes head to Westruun?

Overall Best Characterization: I’ll say Grog.
Okay so I liked this batch a lot, but I’ve got to come back to the question: Split the party- yay or nay?
And I’m still wavering between yay and nay.
Yay: I think the character beats particularly that came from the Grog + Gnomes side of the story hit harder with them sequestered on their own. This new “Grog finds his strength” taken literally storyline is a huge boon to Grog’s character even though I found it a bit superfluous at first. They were able to emphasize the Pikelan and to a lesser extent Scanlan/Grog dynamic that they haven’t been able to touch on as much before.
Nay: I felt like the episodes had some wasted time. Episode 7 I felt like we didn’t need the Feywild side of the story (the most important part is meeting Garmelie- the fight in that episode is essentially to drive further home that Vax is on a diverging path, something I think 4-6 already firmly established). Episode 8 I felt we didn’t need the Grog/Gnomes side of the story (meeting Wilhand was great, but the B plot of “giving grog an enema” was weak)
Ultimately, I think I come down on the side that I would’ve preferred the party to stick together. The weaker plot lines I outlined above I think could’ve been axed and the whole party could’ve gone to the Feywild, we’re still given significant Grog + Gnomes content, and then we’re given just a bit more time to stew in the concept of Syngorn. The punches, specifically with Perc’ahlia in Syngorn, fell flat to me because I don’t think they were given enough time. Had they cut the original E7 fight to make more context for Syngorn, I think it would’ve gone well in expanding context. Then, E9 could’ve remained totally the same just with the rest of VM along for the ride.
That said, maybe the split was worth it just for the country traveling Pikelan bop.

Hils Watches Goblin - Ep 1
It's time for another k-drama and this is another one that got recommended to me a few years back when I first started watching Asian dramas. Apparently 2023 is the year I finally watch the stuff that was recommended to me in 2020 😅
I don't think this will follow my usual 2 episodes per evening usual schedule. These episodes are LONG. The first one is an hour and a half. That's the length of a movie.
So, probably one episode per day for now but I'm off work all of next week so I'll have time for more then.
This one, at least, I'm sort of vaguely aware of the plot but like everything else I don't know any spoilers or anything.
And I'll need to figure out how to tag this because this drama has about 10 different titles.
But for now, let's go!
