Halsin thoughts bc I’m a hopeless romantic

I want to feed ducks with Halsin. The idea of walking up to him while he’s feeding ducks- He likes repeating that bread is bad for them, and shares grapes and birdseed to toss into the water at them together. Maybe in silence, just enjoying the moment. Maybe you tell him a silly duck-joke that makes him chuckle.

Imagine the view of the two of you laughing and feeding ducks and Karlach is just watching like this is her Bridgerton.

& then he whittles you a duck as a gift, and you don’t realize that the bottom he carved/wrote “my heart”. Partially because it’s to you, (my heart), but also as if he’s giving his heart to you.

I want to take him to one of my favorite places outdoors. But, as a surprise in a way. Imagine leading him there and telling him to close his eyes, “I have to trust you’ll keep them closed, because I can’t reach” and he just chuckles and puts his hand over his eyes as you lead him. I just know he’d be so touched that you invited him into your space, shared your favorite spot in nature with him.

To make it even more hopeless-romantic of me- I like to think if he were to be one to propose, it would be back at that same spot. OR, where the feeding-ducks took place.

I love the idea that others would point out how much he cares for you, and this is when you question if he might actually have feelings for you too. He’s been your best friend, you never thought you were anything more to him. Karlach’s exasperated “are you mad? You’ve got that tree of an elf wrapped around your little finger, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Maybe she even jokes about testing the theory, and loudly pretends some guy is bothering you at the pub you’re all at, enough for Halsin to snap his head in your direction and stand up so quickly from his table that a few mugs of ale spill over. His fists clenched, muscles flexed before his eyes meet Karlachs face (seeing you’re both fine) and she’s just laughing and making that ‘shame’ motion with her fingers at him.

That elf has got it BAD.

Will say Luke did not deserve all the bullshit he got from his family, Vought, Brink, Cate and Andre.

My dude had nobody who ever did right by him and he never even got to see his brother, he never got to be a hero, and he never got to meet somebody who would have been a genuine friend to him.

Like my boy deserved better and it hurts me that he will never get it.

I dont even believe Cate actually was in love with Luke i bet Shetty set her up to date Luke bcuz Brink already had been mentoring him for years which confuses me.

Burrows End has been such a perfect example of everything I love about TTRPGs. In a world that is so scary and so horrible, the players turn around and reply with moments and choices that are gentle and tender and compassionate and also fucking hilarious. And, like the Junk Mother said : that arbitrary kindness means more than anything.

I love that I came in braced for loss and fear and helplessness and instead I'm crying on the floor over 'Hey, Girl, hey.' Dimension 20 is amazing at consistently casting some of the best improv players in the game.

Even the little Thorn/Viola interaction leading up to it, where they're having microtransactions of frustration and forgiveness reads as such a real couple thing to do. It's so good.

(I just love TTRPGs so much.)

Hey guys, if you could pray for me and my parents I'd be really grateful. The last cat in our old brigade, Tansy, is almost 15 and at the end of her days. She tends to get sick from allergies during the spring and she's had a rough winter and she's just, she's not going to make it through this time and she's been SUCH a good cat her whole life that we're not gonna let her suffer through it to the end. We're hoping we can get an appointment to get her put down tomorrow (that sounds awful saying it, but she's miserable and I can't watch her suffer she doesn't deserve that), so we would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
