#so much of the Tiffany books in particular are about day to day community support#doing the chores... checking in on the elders who don't have family.... sitting up with the dead#it takes the quiet often uncelebrated everyday work of living and dying#and sets it right up against slaying vampires or vanquishing monsters#and maybe that's another reason why they aren't as popular#beyond yknow. centering women#but man maybe we need more books celebrating the heroism of clipping a lonely 90 year old man's toenails for him#discworld#perpetual perpetual ladies night#why this
