love when luffy is actually trying hard to remember someone just from hearing their name, especially when he only met/heard about them once
#also me when im trying to remember all the one piece characters like: 'i know i heard that before'#monkey d. luffy#one piece#its funny to see him actually trying to remember when in other occasions he doesnt bother to remember the name#but its something else to remember the person and connect it with a name. so even if he gives other ppl nicknames he remembers them#in his own way#but with marco its understandable bc the only time he met him was marineford so...#and oden was only mentioned just when they were talking about searching for marco actually.#so these two panels are even more connected#also robin: the pineapple guy. luffy immediately: oh! i know him#i love how robin knows how luffy's brain works. (same with zoro too in other situations)
