What are you realistic thoughts on Charles winning the wdc this season?
ok, seems like i can't ignore these asks anymore:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
well, this subject is a bit delicate from my perspective because it involves at least 3 nikkas. the nikka fan of charles, the nikka fan of the sport, and the nikka hater; so i'll try to be the most reasonable, moderate, and fair in this ask as i possibly can.
yesterday on the post of "reblog and tag the biggest red flag of the person you reblogged it from" friends were tagging me as "ferrari fan" and saying they don't know HOW i still have fate in them. being brutally honest here, i don't believe in ferrari. i believe in charles. it has to be clear so people can understand my point.
and charles is a put-together person and is always motivated. he has that thing in him that makes you believe in magic. he wants to win so bad, and win fair, and win with the team he loves. he is the kinda guy who i imagine on his knees in front of ferrari saying "if it's not to be with you, so i don't want it." and dear lord, i understand him completely. ferrari is the love of his life and he would do anything in his power to be a champion with them. i talked about it in my other asks but charles probably would have more wins in another team. but who cares? he doesn't want it. he wants to win at ferrari. he likes to win there and there only.
so the first point is: charles is wonderful, i love him with every piece of my heart and i can't even explain it sometimes. but above all, i respect him for being so loyal to his feelings. as i always say, he is awe-inspiring and a true romantic. he loves a lot, so intensely! but love is not everything.
as much as people think the contrary, f1 is not an individual sport. it is a team sport. the driver is the most vulnerable part of the said team. he depends on his engineer, on the pit crew, and massively on the car. so as much as charles is motivated and in love, he can't do the whole thing alone.
the easy answer here is no, we don't have any chance. the car isn't there and i can see the nuances of this season are showing us that, or red bull gets punished for their crimes (teehee dramatic), or something really absurd happens, or they'll win both championships (driver and constructors) once again. and no, they don't have any competition. not ferrari, not mercedes, and aston martin let it clear that fighting red bull is not on their plans. the competition is between verstappen and perez at this point.
but do you ask me, do you believe in charles? I DO. hell yes, i do! i saw him doing things, i saw him winning against adversities. i saw him growing in the presence of ominous circumstances. so it is in him, he is a champion and he'll be. maybe not this year, but in the other. it hurts me like hell seeing him struggling but at the same time, it gives me hope. i'm being sincere and putting my heart out here. charles is going to be okay no matter what. he is so strong and brave. not to remember that terf but he would be a purist gryffindor.
honestly, i'll be watching this season for the sake of being delusional about charles to protect my peace and all. but deep down i know how it all works. it can be read as a conspiracy theory, but i'm not dumb, no one here is dumb. i'm glad that vasseur (and ferrari partially) are protecting charles as the way they should. he is the one trying something with the car. pushing on qualis, trying to establish positions, understanding it will not work in dirty air, enduring and embracing the spot ferrari is in right now... etc, etc, etc. charles is the right driver, and quoting seb "i hope he gets the car he deserves"
now i don't know if i indeed answered these questions as i should. i would say that realistically speaking we don't have any chance. but in the end, i can't be completely realistic when charles is the subject.
