#i think i had a little too much fun with this lol #i also wanted to draw road boy and other characters but maybe when they actually get introduced #i do have a sketch of him with a lil chainsaw.. im not gonna be normal when he gets introduced man he looks so sillygoofy #if you squint laika's eye marking is a clover yue's is a crescent moon and mars' is a star ^_^#i wanted to give laika an accessory too but i couldnt think of anything.. maybe a stack of pancakes??#im curious to see the apocalypse side of the story too.. like so far we have an idea of the comet fucking everything up #and im assuming that lead to a ripple effect causing the apocalypse but exactly how bad?? i cant wait to find out #rn im kinda piecing stuff together.. larkspur delivers mail in a beat up van so that might mean all transportation is grounded #the buildings we've seen so far are intact like the observatory and turnip's house but idk if thats the same for big cities #laikas playlist only includes songs downloaded on yue's computer and there hasnt been internet in 20 years.. but radio signals might #still work.. if yue grows his own food we can assume that mass production and distribution also isnt a thing anymore #sorry im a sucker for worldbuilding.. and the furth puns are fun to me. i like to think toronto would be clawronto.. and vancouver wld #be nyancouver.. barktic circle.. mewfoundland and labrador.. canyada....#christ i have so many drawing ideas. willow if youre reading this im so sorry youre probably gonna expect to see a lot of drawings frm me #like. i wanna draw laika in the akira bike pose so sosososo bad. #yeah apparently hating having one in is far from uncommon #luckily ive only had to do two #one was crook of the elbow and the other was like over the radius at my wrist #for some reason i figured that was just me #every once in a while i get this weird conflict #in that i know what ivs are for and how they work and why they were important #the one in the crook of the elbow was in the ER and used to deliver anti anaphylactic medication #but at the same time as the patient get that thing out of me asap #disability #salt baby talks #chronic illness

#ignoreme.jpg #the wheels are turning everything makes sense oh no #a grief stricken Lexa by the death of her fiancee who has this hatred for anything love and family related #waking up in a hospital bed married and /pregnant/#and Clarke is everything she doesnt like - far too touchy far too caring far too needy of being needed #and the baby fucking hell even when she was with Costia they decided they didnt want kids HOW is she pregnant #far enough along to feel it move too and she went from being a fit mid-20s girl #to a pregnant early 30's woman and this damn body doesnt feel like her own #she doesnt recognize the woman in the white dress smiling next to her wife who is this full of life and love Lexa?#her mind is still in a deep grieving state for a woman who has been dead for over 7 years now #and replaced by Clarke who seems to optimist about her Lexa coming back but to Lexa 'her lexa' does not exist its not who she is #Lexa's plan now is deliver this baby - for all she cares shes nothing but a surrogate at this time - leave it with Clarke and disappear #she's so determinate she doesnt tell Clarke when her memory slowly starts to come back - not enough for her to be who she was before #but its returning slowly #although the day she remembers them trying to get pregnant and how excited she was is the day she realizes she cant just leave the baby #but then.... what about clarke?#bye

Gonna say something potentially controversial:

I think Heartcatch suffers from the Up phenomenon in that people remember it as an excellent, if not flawless masterpiece when it actually has One (1) excellent, if not flawless moment in the beginning and is otherwise nothing special.

#pretty cure #babs' musings #precure: heartcatch #i remember sitting there watching 4 episodes at a time and asking myself “so when does it get as Great as people say”#i admire how different it is in tone and style to other seasons. it really stands out in that regard!#but that doesn't make it automatically better (or worse) than other seasons #it was funnier.#but the story? really underwhelming imo #the only notable part about the plot was the very first scene that set the intrigue and mystery of Yuri's character #but what they deliver on that front was extremely disappointing for me #and all the other characters get pretty mid arcs as well #Tsubomi has anxiety about not being good at anything. nothing comes of that besides one or two insults from the villains.#Itsuki has to crossdress in order to continue the family business because her brother has vague illness #that's never confronted in any satisfying way. it just sorta fades away once she decides she likes being a girl #Erika's insecurity regarding her sister is honestly the most engaging of these arcs and that's because I have a little sister #I suppose I set my expectations too high for that season. but people call it The Best Precure Season when it's not even in my top 3 so far #and that's kinda concerning for me going forward #suite is also proving to be a huge bore for me. extremely artificial season going through the motions of the franchise #Hummy... save me. Hummy. Save me Hummy #I really don't want to struggle through 13 more unremarkable seasons in the hopes of recapturing the magic of Futari Wa and Fresh #argh. i hate not liking things #sorry for the rant in the tags.

It's such a shame I was broke when that book was still for sale, I thought it looked neat then and now having hunted down the post it was advertised in (it's deleted now but the reblogs live on), I stand by that.

Now I guess someone could release another collection of fics in a book but you see that would require gathering the writers and other things so like. (Image of the book for reference under the cut.)
