Amity Parkers in Gotham

Casper High students graduated. As much as they loved their town (which now included ghosts as recurring residents) they knew they had to go. Not because Phantom didn't do a good job, or that ghosts attacked daily (on the contrary, after Phantom's intervention the destruction became concentrated in the Infinite Realms), but they had to go to a university. That's why most of them applied to Gotham University, it seemed right.

Sure, Gotham wasn't as cool as Amity, nor did it include dimension travel to the Realm of the Dead (Amity Parkers had access to the Infinite Realms as long as they abided by Walker's rules), but they had a great scholarship program, and the city was so chaotic because of its heroes and villains that it felt...like home.

The problem was that no one taught Casper's ex-students some basics: Feeling afraid, avoiding your attackers, not attacking back. Things that seemed like common sense did not go through their heads. After years of dealing with ghost attacks they had gotten used to it, and knew how to counterattack.

So, after their arrival they were knocking out rogues, stopping robbery, and looking bored at the prospect of dying. That made Batman suspicious of a secret society of young soldiers, although it didn't really make much sense, was someone training teenagers? The batfamily was worried at the prospect.

At some point, there was even an "undead" attack in what was called the Justice League; Of course, the Amity Parkers were the first to establish a secure site and prevent the invasion from advancing. At the end everything seemed lost and the undead epidemic was about to spread out of Gotham, but Dash snorted and said that he would "contact a friend that can help", which raised the suspicions of the League.

Danny, who was taking a year off before starting his university studies, raised an eyebrow at the group he had with his old classmates. He shrugged before transforming into Phantom and going to the place, in a few minutes the invasion was over and Bruce was 90% sure that there was a secret society training a teenage army.

(Next year there were changes to Encom’s employee insurance coverage :) and yes, Alan kept his word too and got her the wheels :P). It’s kind of messed that you could buy a used car before you could afford power assist (let alone the wheelchair itself!!). Like what!!!

Anyway, I love thinking about Alan and Melli’s interactions. They become friends pretty quickly and I imagine they go for walks a lot. Also they gossip, and Alan tries his best to keep up with all the new lingo and memes that Melli is constantly referencing.

I might be speaking nonsense right now but I don't think it's okay when artists do "redesigns" or "personal interpretations" of black characters and then draw them with "prettier" white-people features. Like I see it way too much. If you draw a black character but give them blue/green eyes or straight hair or a slimmer nose or whatever else to make them more attractive or special then maybe consider why you think their natural black features are """ugly""".

#This isn't targeted at anyone and of course it depends on the context #Like if it's a fantasy setting it would make more sense if a black character has non-brown eyes or whatever #But WAY too often I'll see modern day/realistic settings and people are still giving black characters blonde hair and heterochromia and...#sigh #I especially see this a LOT with white artists #White people will deadass be like ''time to draw a black woman'' and then draw a woman with 100% white features and then darken her skin #and call it a day #ggghhhh #kebby rambles #kebby complains

hey, don't fucking ask people when they're going to try and "wean off their medication." this shit is the reason I didn't slit my wrists. I'm financially stable enough to afford it (thank god) and it doesn't cause any severe adverse side effects.

I don't want to go off my medication. if it's up to me, I will never go off my medication. and having to explain that to you sucks, because there is a reason I need this goddamn medication.

listen. all the respect in the world for the people who do want to eventually get off of their meds. hell yeah! go for it! but please, for the love of god, don't act like that result is the light at the end of the tunnel.

it's gonna be real awkward for both of us when I have to explain exactly why I need that medication in the first place.

just watched the movie the babadook cause i have to do a presentation on it for my horror film class, and i saw that there were kickstarter credits and i was like "that's cool!"

then i went back to screenshot it, because i went, "wait, there are still people named horatio in the year of our lord 2023? lol"

and yup, that's there alright

but do you see what other name is there, right next to it?

and then when i went to imbd to confirm that yes, it is that tom stoppard, author of rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead tom stoppard, in the kickstarter credits for an indie australian horror film... you know what else i saw?

he was one of the writers of brazil, the movie i did my presentation for film genres class - with the same professor - on, last spring.

what is my fucking life.
