for hiragana, katakana and kanji, flashcard programs/apps like quizlet or anki help. i think duolingo also has something similar for learning the characters? i recommend anki especially for kanji and radicals, it uses spaced repetition for learning/testing your knowledge

the textbook i used was genki, and i think it's pretty good! there are also jlpt exam workbooks and test exams but idk if my teacher used those in our curriculum lmao

some other free online resources i love!!

jisho.org -> the english/japanese dictionary i use

satorireader.com -> readings and audio, with varying levels of difficulty! the articles go along with each audio, they have a bunch of genres from culture to silly little stories. i really like how you can toggle kanji/furigana and other settings, it's pretty interactive
