Verses ( An Incomplete List )

001 — angeldust: cyberpunk verse, set roughly in 2125, and for the most part in Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan. people ( in certain but not all ) overpopulated areas are required to apply and pay for a license to have children on their own; Fang's mum didn't have such a license and someone snitched on her, so Fang was taken away when he was maybe 5. he is convinced she is dead, but afraid she isn't and has spent the last almost three decades under torture or similarly terrible conditions instead. he's been raised by the government and was sold to an agency ( simply called the Agency ) that fronts as a prestige artist agency, having models, actors, and even idols signed to them, but does actually rent their artists out as escorts ( if you want to be nice ) to the richest people for basically all kinds of things: nights spent together, as actual escorts for events, but also sex, and any kind of violent urges you can imagine. the team at the agency is able to "repair" the escorts when they get back, turned into carnage, and even reanimate them in almost all cases. Fang is specifically known at the agency to be able to endure the worst kind of violence, and that's almost always why he's rented: to serve as an outlet for all those rich CEOs who are so incredibly stressed they need a human punching bag and so incredibly rich they can just rent one for a few hours. he's the most expensive escort at the agency and is part of their angel program — he got his own room, more freedom and privileges, in exchange for being made addicted to a personalized drug that the agency uses to control him | Fang in this is roughly 30, grew up in Taiwan, then in South Korea. he was only recently saved and removed from the agency by one of his clients and is now trying to somehow live instead of just survive day to day, while battling with his trauma and his addiction recovery. also has ties to the Yakuza now. looks like he could kill you but is a cinnamon roll. often believes people are lying to him, doesn't trust easily, but falls for people who show him the bare minimum of respect and human decency. ties knots into his own or other people's clothes for comfort.

002 — temple ruins: urban fantasy verse, set in the 1980s and in the Greater Yuun Region, which is an alternate history version of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and China. magic exists, and mythical beings live among humans undetected. the technological advances are at least three or four decades ahead of schedule. Fang is a Taiwanese fairy deity whose followers are slowly but surely declining. as he helps out a group of mundanes to get an audience with a local dragon, the dragon demands payment, and picks Fang as such in a rush of nostalgia, remembering his mother telling him stories about Fang's kind when he was a lot younger. it also becomes clear that Fang has started to fade from the world with his follower count declining rapidly, and the dragon wants to save him. needless to say, Fang is less than amused about the whole situation, but the dragon's lover is a warlock and he manages to wrap Fang into a sort of second skin made of magic that keeps him existing in a sort of vacuum between dimensions while he physically exists in that timeline. so Fang has no real choice but to stay for now, and settle into the temple the dragon, his warlock lover and a local love deity call their home. shenanigans ensue. | Fang is a couple hundred years old in this and rather wild. he's stubborn, can't lie, and he would never admit that he's slowly falling for the dragon whom he keeps accusing of kidnapping and keeping him away from his people. he can also shift into a larger rabbit with little antlers, and possesses fairy magic.

003 — midsummer: university verse, set in the 2020s, in a smaller town in the US. Fang studies "something with languages" and classical literature, and has just managed to get a job as one of the professor's assistants. he grew up in Taiwan, but after his mother's death and the subsequent selling of their orchard, Fang grew up in foster care. he speaks a handful of languages at different levels of fluidity, and decided to take the chance and study abroad. sorta hooking up with a coursemate but it's complicated. | mid-twenties, very bi. is working extra hard to keep the prof's approval. his dream is to buy back the orchard and build the business back up, if only to spite the people who bought it and removed the apple trees he so loved.

004 — appleseed: alternate history medieval fantasy verse. in which Fang's father is a European General trying to take over the island Fang grows up on, and his mother is killed when she attempts to flee from him. Fang deserts when the army from the mainland lands on the island to fight against the foreigners, and saves a group of casters / mages before being taken into the mainland army. rises to lieutenant as one of their best archers, fights alongside a small group he soon calls friends and falls for his General. court intrigue and forbidden feelings between said General and the soon-to-be empress bring issues and blood to their doorstep, and amidst all the pain and fear of the looming war Fang desperately attempts to keep his rank, resurrect the man he loves and deal with the grief and the guilt he's put on himself. | mid-twenties. ties knots as lucky charms. deadly afraid of losing the people he love. self-destructive tendencies. really likes apples.

005 — trustfund dreams: set somewhen in modern times, in Mokpo, South Korea. unlike the other timelines, Fang is not an orphan in this one; a typical trustfund baby, he's the CEO of a company that's specialized in soju, makgeolli and similar drinks made from locally grown rice, barley and other grains. | late-twenties, sorta dating his secretary and batting his eyelashes at his bodyguard, Fang is rich, a bit stupid, playful, inexperienced, and annoyingly used to getting what he wants. someone should tell him to stop making hiring decisions with his dick, probably.

006 — vino: present day. no set setting. grown up in a foster family in the US, Fang finds out about a half brother in the mafia somewhen in his mid-twenties and gets pulled into a mob thriller where he has to trust his brother to protect him from people who want to see him dead, while he struggles to deal with the constant moving and the always temporary seeming social circle. especially when he starts falling for his neighbour. | late-twenties, has worked as a model before, is doing a boring desk job now to lay low. has a cat named Bagheera who moves everywhere with him. still very untouched by violence despite everything, fun to be around and yet relatively quiet and introverted. has a lot of plans but can't execute any of them because he doesn't know what tomorrow will bring. jealousy tendencies.

lmao, but for real, you're fine, even though it IS a sensitive subject, especially considering the theatres involved.

TL;DR: Lots of anguish, as the Seven are forced to watch the world not just fall into war, but to see the nations they once called home and the peoples they called brethren fall into oppression, genocide, and general bloodshed. I could have sworn I've written a similar piece regarding WW2-era Spain and Italy in the blog but I can't find it. I'll keep it general and avoid specifics as to avoid touching upon the pain still felt by the people who especially got it bad from WW2 such as the Jewish population and the Chinese. But ALL Seven felt it.

From my readings so far, I think the one least affected by it all is Rashid? The Ottoman Empire has fallen for some decades by then, so what became the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has declared neutrality, and I am not finding much notes on this nation beyond declaring war on Germany at almost literally the last minute then doing nothing about it.

Meanwhile I’m mostly finding things on Cuba and Puerto Rico when it comes to Latin America and the Caribbean, but not so much with Haiti. Abena does take in comfort that Ghana was never a warfront in the grand scheme of the wars, mostly participating as suppliers manpower for the Allies (as Ghana was a part of the British Empire at the time).

Everyone else... not so feeling good. I don’t think I need to describe Josep’s feelings on Francoist Spain, or Giovanni on Fascist Italy, or Ruixiong on Japanese-occupied China. And of course the Twins on France and the entire European Jewish population. As much as they are removed from the nations of that time considering it is not the same as it was in the 1500s-1600s, it’s still their people, their brethren, and the descendants of the neighbors and friends they considered a part of their home.

And the worst part of all this? The absolute worst part? The part wherein Cappn is all “EVIL”?

The Master is absolutely LOVING the Second World War. So much pain, so much hatred, so much death. He might even encourage the Seven to go on a soul raid here and there should any combat take place in the seas. By the time it’s all over, the Crew basically entered a state of dormancy because their souls just could not take it. But of course, the Master will insist they continue to search for the Eye. So they have to keep going. No matter what.

A dream is born…

English businessman Gilliam Barton had always dreamed of creating something of his own. He fell into a family fortune, and despite never having to need to work another day in his life, Gilliam took to philanthropy to fill his time. Known as a bit of an eccentric, he was known to take chances on risky start up companies, giving him the nickname “Risky Gilly”. As he attended the International Electrical Exhibit in 1883, Gilliam was astounded at a device he saw there. Invented by Austrian Josef Friedländer, the first wind turbine was put on display at the event. This device became somewhat of an obsession of Gilliam, enjoying the idea of clean, renewable energy. Many of his investments involved alternatives to coal for energy during the industrial revolution, this seemed like the most viable option. After successfully implementing a wind generator farm in Scotland just 5 years later, Gilliam’s mind was buzzing with ideas on what to do with the invention next.

A community of dreamers…

Wanting to expand his endeavors further, it wasn’t enough for Gillaim to set up a new, large wind turbine farm just anywhere. He wanted to first maximize the output of electricity meaning he would need to go someplace with exceptional wind. Secondly, he wanted enough space for not only the wind farm but for expansion. After a few years of implementing studies all over the world, Antarctica became not only perfect in his criteria, but was a risk that more than intrigues Risky Gilly. In 1898 the first team of installers arrived inland of Antarctica, setting up a modest 6 generators. Through hard work and frostbite, the engineers were amazed at the amount of electricity this relatively small farm produced. Gilliam and his construction company invited anyone to come and live in this small community, so long as they volunteered their services to the team. Whether it be engineering, medical expertise, culinary skills or scientific studies, all were welcome to be a part of this global community.

(Lands on the ground from ceiling) Hello there, I am 24M and I am currently itching to rp once again. I am looking for a +20/Female (no minors!) rp partner, who can play a female oc for my male oc (who ironically goes by the same name as my profile, but has a different last name), is an undead soldier from World War 1, who has amassed a huge army and is now fighting the Soviets in an alternate Cold War. I'll explain more details about this world if you have interest in rping.

I rp only on Discord but will dm you on Tumblr about the details and will include my Discord profile. I would want it to be a long-term rp as it helps me to keep my brain occupied and my imagination flowing. For experience, I'm looking for at least four sentences up to a paragraph, but if have more experience and want to do more that is completely fine by me. As for themes, I’m going for a bit dark with some adventure and fantasy mixed into it, that and of course topped with a healthy heap of war and destruction. I hope you don’t mind smut because there will be some, though not to the point where it hijacks the plot (that and I'm open to polyam ships). For setting, I already have one set up, but if there is another setting you would like to add in I am very much open to that idea. Why I mention this is because I love stories that involve two completely different worlds colliding via portals. So if you don't have one and want to make one from scratch, let me know, because I would love to help with that!

As for the characters you bring to the table, if there are any OC’s you have that you would want to work on some more, please by all means bring them to the table. I also hope you don’t mind doubling, because I love to explore characters you may create or have and want someone to play them. With that being said, you also have access to some of my characters as well, because I love seeing different interpretations of them through someone else’s dialogue.

if you're still taking hot takes: a large portion of "dsmp" fanfics (sbi fics in particular) are actually just rpf fanfics about the ccs in alternate universes that claim to be about characters because that part of the fanbase views rpf as inherently immoral and thus feel the need to justify their rpf fics by slapping a /rp label on it

oh my goddd this one fr like "c!sbi is an established unit and then they adopt c!tommy into their family" is the premise of so many fics and THAT IS CC!SBI FANFIC. C!SBI DIDNT EXIST ??????? STRAIGHT UP DIDN'T EXIST . WHAT. "techno, wilbur, and philza made up the joint unit of sleepy boys inc and they adopted tommy within their ranks" is literally what happened with the streamers in real life like my god people . and when did that happen in the canon server lore ... ? LITERALLY NEVER ??

oftentimes fanfic in this fandom just borrows whatever dynamics they want from either the rpf or rp side like. "c!sbi versus c!dream" where the entire Point of it being "characters" is so that they can use their c!dream caricature evil dude (who coincidentally behaves literally nothing like c!dream)--like i'm sorry but i was here in 2020 and know what sleepytwt was like at the time, yall aint subtle (even if you're just carrying on the legacy of fandom members before you and dont actually even know the history you're writing lmao.)

In search of safety

I haven't gotten around to writing the royalty update on my last lore bit, but I wanted to start on where my oc comes into play. Not entirely self-insert, this AU has storytelling background based in very old role playing from upwards of 10 years ago.

Here are some notes on how this pairing came to be:

This AU takes place after an alternate ending to the Canterlot Wedding (not my writing, the original rp was not something I had any say in at the time. The following is based off very old Tenebris Dawn forum posts) -Cadance and Shining Armor did not stay together after Queen Chrysalis's takeover. Shining failed to rise to the occasion in her defeat and was quickly denied at the altar. Cadance was disappointed in how things played out, and sought out solitude after the traumatic experience. Shining Armor left to stay with Twilight after these events.

-Twilight was tired of Shining's depressed freeloading and pushed him to socialize around ponyville and find some friends. Word had gotten around as to why he was here, and it quickly turned away a lot of potential companions. He did find his place with Big Mac, Spike and Discord after awhile.

-Feather Blade originated in the Everfree forest. (her lore has changed to match her form as a pegasus but this was all written in 2014) She was (possibly) left at Zecora's hut as a newborn and grew up learning the ways of the forest from a very young age. Made friendly with the timber wolves, understands many basic to advanced survival skills, and gained a well fitted immune system for life in the woods.

-Being somepony detached from petty pony drama, Feather was completely unaware of Shining's late status and relationship history. He was enamored by her lifestyle, being someone who grew up in a more upper class environment. They bonded after many of his attempts to flatter her, and eventually he took to staying in her hut more often than staying with Twilight.

-Feather didn't initially have a proper understanding of romance, but she knew what emotional abuse was. (was held captive as a slave "lover" by a stallion with a darkened heart, also directly based off 2014 rps) Whatever Shining was, he wasn't a threat or a burden. She didn't understand what she felt for him until after a widespread infection broke loose. She's been working hard to keep him safe ever since.

-Shining has done his best to keep Feather protected, but hasn't had much strength since getting bitten by some strange creature. Feather was able to collect some supplies to keep them both healthy shortly before the hut was overrun. She keeps him medicated, and no infection has taken root. They're both currently on the move to find shelter and refuge in a safer area of Equestria.

-Feather and Shining have only briefly made contact with Discord prior to him taking off with Fluttershy. Nopony else knows their whereabouts. The two of them have avoided most populated areas in trying to steer clear of infected. Feather has been able to take sky watch for short periods of time to see if areas of civilization are safe, but quickly returns to stay with Shining. So far their travels have yielded no reward, but hope is not lost.

I’m curious how you’d feel about a roleplay server or something like it for the BB universe as it is rn. Something like an alternate version of the clans with ocs. BB is so full of potential it feels like it’d be so sick to rp in, but it’s also so closely tied to the current clans and where they’re going (it feels like a living history in the best possible way tbh???). So I guess whats your gut feeling abt that kind of thing? Im also perhaps biased bc my immediate instinct when I encounter smth my brain loves is “roleplay setting” and I’ve become absolutely insane about everything you post on this blog

RP is just collaborative writing, man. If you took BB guidelines and made an RP server out of it, replacing it with your own OCs, then that's making your own living history right then and there.

Here, RP concept for you that you can all feel free to run with, just as an excuse to deviate;

The researchers dart a couple of the Clan cats, and release them to some other area to study their impacts on that environment. You can choose how long ago it happened, or if it's brand new, where they got released, how many there were.

Doesn't have to be too far if you want it to be close to my modeled regions, either. A couple miles away, even.

ROLEPLAYING GLOSSARY

new words might be hard to understand right away if you’re new... here’s some basic glossary to help getting started! some are more obvious than others, of course, but i know lots of people who might be confused, especially people who don’t speak english as their first language, so i figured it’s better to write down any “important” words

this list might be updated every now and then!!!

A

activity: the abount of time spent on a specific blog. it can be high, medium, low, or even lead to hiatus or semi-hiatus

affiliates: blog canons who tend to be tied together

archived: an archived blog is what remains of a blog no longer used, but that the player prefers not to delete. The blog might’ve been remade, so always check!

AU: alternate universe, when the story setting changes completely.

C

canon-divergent: a blog that follows canon only to a certain extent, making significant enough changes to distance itself from the original version of the character

crack: silly posts, more often than not out of character, meta and meant to be jokes. crack intreactions are generally considered non-canon for the blog

D

dash commentary: in-character comments about what’s currently happening on dash, like other characters’ thread or replies to asks

DNI: do not interact; a list of people or blogs you don’t want to interact with, for a reason or another

double: people who play as the same character

E

event: a roleplay event is, for lack of better terms, an event that lasts for a generally specified amount of time, that involves a handful of characters to the whole dash. examples of events could be working together to save someone from another muse, or simply partecipating to a holiday ball

exclusive: a blog who doesn’t roleplay or ship with doubles of certain muses, since they already have mains who play them.

F

FC: faceclaim, the face used to represend a character, usually OCs

G

godmodding: any form of cheating to win an argument or a fight, usually involving metagaming or ignoring the partner’s actions to succeed. an example of godmodding could be the good ol’ “it’s an hologram” thread

H

hard block: blocking someone permanently

hiatus: a blog on hiatus means that the player isn’t going to be around for a long amount of time, generally unspecified

HUB: when someone makes secondary blogs to roleplay with, they usually keep their primary blog (the one they use to follow others) as a HUB where they can redirect others to all their other blogs

I

IC: in character; what your character says

icon: small images used to represend your characters’ expressions

interest checker: a post, or a google sheet, people ask to like, comment or fill up to see if they’re interested interacting with a certain character or blog.

M

magic anon: anons of bygone eras, who cast “spells” on muses in their askbox for a specified amount of time. for example, a magic anon could “transform” your character into a cat for a week, and expects you to roleplay the situation accordingly

main: a RP partner with who the player interacts with more often; some mains can be or become exclusives

meta: metagaming, playing in character using knowledge the characters themselves don’t know, but the player do. it’s the RP equivalent of knowing how to deal with a boss in a game because you watched a walkthrough, making your character break the fourth wall and godmod to win

moved: a blog that was remade, usually either reusing the same URL or keeping a post with a link to the remade blog, leaving behind an archived blog

muse: the character you play as

musing: sentences, prose or lyrics, often written in stylistic manners, that represent the muse’s feelings, thoughts, relationships and history ( you can find a lot of them here )

mun: the player. this is you!!!

mutual: someone you follow, and who follows you back. a lot of blog are mutuals-only, meaning they’ll roleplay only with people they follow and who follows them back

OOC: out of character; when the mun talks. the opposite of IC

P

para/multipara: long threads, written in paragraphs

permanent starter call: generally speaking, permanent starter calls are posts the mun asks others to like or comment to make sure they’re “allowed” to send asks, interact, dashcomment or mention in other threads

promo: a post where the players promote their blog and their character, where they often give an idea of who the character they play as is, very basic rules and links to rules and about pages. please reblog those if you want to interact with them

prompt: also called ask memes or sentence starters, posts with a bunch of pre-made sentences used to break the ice and send as asks. they can be both in character and out of character ( you can find a lot of them here )

R

reblog karma: when someone reblogs a prompt, it’s common courtesy to send them something before reblogging the same prompt, or at least wait a few minutes and then reblog from the source

RP: roleplay

RPC: roleplay community, the “main” fandom you’re roleplaying with

rules password: a word or sentence left in the rules page of a blog, meant to be sent to prove the mun you read their rules. while the trend died down and even those who leave passwords generally agree that it isn’t something you’re forced to send, a lot of people at least notify their partner that they read their rules

semi-hiatus: a blog on hiatus means that the player isn’t going to be around very often for a long amount of time, generally unspecified

selectivity: depending on a mun’s selectivity, it means how open they are to play with new people, or non-mutuals. non-selective blogs are open to anyone to join, semi-selective blogs are much more reserved, being much more open to mutuals and people you know, while selective blogs are more often than not mutuals only and tend to have mains or even exclusive partners. someone being selective doesn’t mean they will never roleplay with you, and someone who’s non-selective isn’t automatically better than others. decide how selective you are with your blog based on nothing but your own comfort

softblock: blocking and unblocking someone in your follower list, not blocking them completely but still making sure they don’t follow you . A lot of mutuals-only blogs prefer to softblock people they don’t follow anymore

starter: the first post in a thread

starter call: a post muns ask others to generally like or comment if they want a starter for their muse. they usually have a specified limit

tag dump: the list of tags the mun uses in their blog, often to help people finding specific kind of threads (like ships and crack), or to make sure tumblr saves the most elaborate ones expect tumblr to not save them and remake the tag dump a few times

thread: the interactions between two (or more) muses

VC: voiceclaim, the voice used to represend a character
