Things I packed for 3 weeks... no less than 3 retinoid serums because I didn't want to run out and all of these were open. I've been using the Trinny London Overnight Clarity niacinamide and retinol serum because I really like how moisturizing it is and I like that it has niaciniamide in it. However! It has an intense golden hue that gets on clothes and bedsheets, especially if you’re like me and like to put it on your body too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've been finding that my prescription retin-A micro is just right because it's very drying and it really does help make my skin more regulated. The dry formula also seems to keep my skin more on the matte side which is something that I like. Works well for the summer when my skin is so oily. I’ve even worked up to using this almost every day, but I know that will change when I’m back to dry weather. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've also taken the new Neutrogena 0.5% Retinol Pro+ because I wanted to tested it out some more. I do like it but my skin is acting up a little so it's not strong enough. Boscia vitamin C is my favourite right now. It’s 10% ethyl ascorbic acid which is stable and in a pump bottle. I like that. It’s colorless, odorless, and watery so it absorbs into your skin quickly. I use it every day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not shown: three tubes of sunscreen which ended up being just enough. I like to ballpark one tube a week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I took 1 tube of hair cream which was just enough. And my own Alterna Everyday Shampoo and Conditioner and this size was the best. Look at the dent I’ve made in the conditioner. Here are my February and March empties! The Christophe Robin shampoo and Too Cool For School eye makeup remover were PR gifts, but everything else was purchased by me. _______________ I did like the Christophe Robin shampoo and will likely buy one during the VIB sale. It left my hair very soft and a little smoother, too. The Alterna shampoo and conditioner didn’t do anything special on my hair, so I won’t be repurchasing those. Their caps/lids were also annoying because you have to twist the clunky cap open, then squeeze product out. With wet hands in the shower, it felt like a test of strength every morning 😆 ____________________ I actually finished some makeup! The Tarte pencil was a favorite, but they’ve discontinued it and I don’t buy Tarte anymore anyway🤷🏻‍♀️. I still have backups though, and will use those up. Long lasting on my oily lids, & no primer needed. The TCFS eye makeup remover is your standard oil-based remover. It got the job done. I didn’t like the EVO shampoo because it made my hair feel greasier. Maybelline highlighter is an old favorite and I have a backup. This brightens under eyes and I was surprised to find that it makes melasma appear lighter, too _________________ The Beauty Crop mascara is a tubing mascara that I got through Birchbox. I liked it, but it dried out surprisingly fast. Also, made in China, and I’m not sure how I feel about that. The Oribe conditioner left my hair so soft and light and smelling nice. Why yes, I do want a hair mask that smells like eucalyptus and actually smooths my hair. Testing out some Alterna hair products for the next little while, and yes, I'll keep using them because I love how they smell. I haven't used this brand for a while, but if you're around my age, you'll remember a range with caviar in it and Katie Holmes in the ads. They're also vegan (in case that matters to you). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The home run is the Meltaway No-Rinse Micellar Cleanser. It's a cream to powder that absorbs oil and sweat, and once it sets, you can brush through it. I've used it in my hair a few times and I like it, but you can't get to the root of your hair like you can with a powder. Considering the fact that you have to brush your hair after using it, you probably have to have fairly straight and smooth hair to use it, but if you fall into that category, then you will love this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have you tried anything from the brand?
