ANONYMOUS: Shanks. Today is Uta's @muselexum birthday. Do you have gifts and a cake for her?

“Of course I do!”

He had the gall to look offended that anyone would ever suggest he wouldn’t have everything his kid could ever dream of every day, and not just on her birthday. “S’not like I’m gonna forget--it’s the day we found her.” Picking out a date for her birthday had been easy enough. After plenty of debate over how old she was, the crew had agreed that she must have been nearly a year old. There had been discussions about how babies birth days were welcoming them into the world and October first was the day he and the crew had welcomed her. It would be close enough. It was the start of a new month and the start of a new way of life for all of them.

“I always try and do special things for her, but it’s my kid and my favorite musician's special day.”

He had been planning for weeks on how to give her everything she wanted, in between all of his whining and sniffling over the fact that she was getting older.

“We picked out an island to stop at a couple o’ weeks ago. Some of the girls are takin’ her to a beauty shop or somethin’, I think. Got some new clothes and some of those little clippy things for her hair.” He brings his hands to his hair in an almost crab-like manner to demonstrate the clippy things that she liked to make him wear too. “She really likes that sorta stuff. ’nd Beck helped me pick out some storybook that was popular in the West Blue for us to read together. Breya’s already made her favorite cake for her and everyone else got her plenty of gifts, too.”

It wasn’t like Uta had ever wanted for anything. They had given her nearly everything she could possibly want or need as soon as they found her.

“Plus, there’s some sort of festival goin’ on here today--think it goes on for the rest of the week, but I figured I’d steal her away to explore for a bit tonight--just the two of us!!”

hey hey HEY happy birthday ❤️❤️❤️ wishing u a great one

Well, I had to open at 4 AM and let's just say that was the best part of my work day..

I won't bore you guys with a vivid description of the torments wrought upon me and my coworkers in the actual circle of hell I was trapped in for 8 hours. Let's just say that by the end of it I was so exhausted I called my brother to just to double check to make sure there would be a new episode of One Piece.

And I would just like to say thank you for the following:

I looked it up and Buggy and Shanks are like actually high school aged teenagers but they LOOK like adorable little baby pirates trying to be all grown up and tough and I adore them.

The Rayleigh Sword Fighting Scene which I made my brother rewind three times because yes, please. (No wonder Benn Beckman and Young Silver Rayleigh look alike. If I were Shanks I would also go out and get me one of those.)

Asking another person's crew to join yours is considered just as rude and out if line as assumed. I totally get White Beard's reaction. All Hearts Law very much felt he could also generate the destructive power equivalent to a natural diaster when Luffy kept asking for Zoro to join his crew.

Mandatory Swordsman reaction for the original Swordsman and First Mate, Dark King Rayleigh. So I can check that off the bucket list.

"This brings back memories," says Rogers while him and Rayleigh hold little babies. Um.... DID THEY RAISE SHANKS AND BUGGY TOGETHER!?

No, seriously, did Rogers get drunk one night and kidnap two children for him and Rayleigh to raise? How did he explain that the next morning? How did Rayleigh allow then to stay? Was he just like, "why, well we're like a hour away from the island now. Screw it, sure, we're keeping the kids. "

And also would like to bitch about the follow:

It was my birthday and you couldn't put in some Zoro content? Yes, I'm aware they are in the past. I don't see your point. Maybe he goes back in time with the help of Law's powers (shut up, you don't know for sure they can't do that. They're are bullshit magic powers they can do whatever) just to - I don't know - be thoroughly unimpressed with Rogers AND Oden just because he can (teach you to be pirate king before his captain.... And Oden just whatever.)

My point is, what? Oh, they're just so important. They couldn't possibly stop in the middle of a storyline just to have a episode where we watch Zoro do fuck all for a day!

Yeah, heaven forbid you take a break of doing exactly that but with Oden.
