"Hammer work is such a delicate art."

Can we just start a random chain of canjy headcanons please? Like how I headcanon Caddy as a baker who like, when he's fuccin stressed out from dealing with all the wizard war shit bakes some classic 70s british pastries at 3am. The kitchen smells of cake and cigarette smoke and is also hideously 70s, with a mix of multi coloured tiles and brown-cream walls. He's also baking this shit in his underwear and a tank top which is a health and safety disaster.

YESSSS!!  Canjy head canon chain is a brilliant idea!  We’ve built these characters from scratch for our RP (and the planned fics!) so they’re vivid to us so let’s spew some of the HC’s we have.  Though I’d love to hear anyone else’s hc’s for these boys because anything and everything having to do with Caradoc Dearborn and Benjy Fenwick makes my heart happy.

Benjy wakes up in the middle of the night and reaches over to cuddle into Caddy, but of course he’s not there, his worries have woken him also.  That’s when Benjy smells the scent of fresh baked pastries coming from their kitchen and sighs, knowing Caddy is stress-baking again.  He pads into the kitchen quietly in just his boxers and leans against the kitchen doorway just watching the love of his life rolling out more dough.  He loves watching Caddy’s large hands work the delicate pastry dough, his bulky frame looming even larger in their small kitchen.  He watches him work for a few minutes, just admiring the way his muscles tense and move, the cigarette dangling from his lips, so lost in his own thoughts and concentration he doesn’t even realize Benjy is there.  Benjy walks up behind him, whispering “Morning, love” so as not to startle him before wrapping his arms around his waist from behind and pressing a kiss between his shoulder blades.  Caddy tenses for a moment until he realizes it’s Benjy and then relaxes into his boyfriend with a sigh.  

Benjy is a disaster in the kitchen so he doesn’t even offer to help because he knows Caddy will just glare and shoo him out of the kitchen muttering about him setting a cake on fire again, so Benjy just watches and at 4 am, they sit together on the sofa in silence, eating some of the pastries while cuddled into each other, neither having to say how worried they are about their next missions, about their friends who are always in danger, about how scared they are of losing each other.  They just reassure each other they’re still here, together, for now, and will enjoy every second they have.

My babies, I have so many head canons!  So Benjy is a former professional Quidditch player who was injured with a terrible back injury but thankfully healed although he can’t ever play professionally again.  He’s a bit of a bookworm so he loves working at Flourish and Botts even though its a far cry from his former Qudditch glory.  He dreams of one day owning his own book shop with a bakery attached to it for the love of his life, Caradoc.
