oh lord i absolutely adore toshio, the whole stalker thing got me thinking to myself: what if you caught him stalking you? and the whole underwear stealing thing would most likely come into play with it. like coming home, all of your lights off and ready to hit the hay after a long nights work. you can’t even make it to your bedroom, so you click on the tv and shuffle out of your clothes, heading over to your conveniently placed pajamas which reside on your tv stand. you’re too tired to realise that you certainly did fold them last night and you’d be sure that you most definitely had a pair of underwear sitting on top of the pile of clothes… oh well. you hadn’t noticed. what you did notice though, as you placed your head down on the couch, pulling up the tassled blanket that you kept on there for both decoration and when you had a tiring day, was the rattling sound.

the tv? no, you were sure it wasn’t the tv. maybe you were so tired that you were imagining things? oh brain, don’t try to gaslight us. you sat up, warily and suddenly you felt wide awake. why? because you heard the noise once more. this time it was a whine, you were sure of it. you stood up from the sofa, walking over very slowly and very carefully to the kitchen. you needed a weapon. someone was definitely in your house and the only available landline you had to call the police was in your bedroom. behind that closed door. and behind that closed door… someone who you were certain was trying to threaten your well-being.

you had thought about a knife but instead traded the stainless steel for the bat you kept under the sink. why? you didn’t know. you crept closer towards your bedroom door, pressing your ear very delicately against the mahogany only to hear that same whine once more. this time it sounded quieter, muffled perhaps. perhaps… whoever resided in your bedroom on this night had realised that they were being too loud and careless. or perhaps, they hadn’t noticed you even opening your front door.

with a quick push and your bat braced, you came across what you thought was the most confusing outcome of this situation. the person on the floor… well, you could have sworn you had had him as a client a few nights back. he paused what he was doing, eyes wide and teary. one hand pressed against his nose with what you only recognised as your own undergarments. his other hand clutching his leaking cock as it twitched, your face twisted in disgust. you had half a mind to scream, but that would alert your neighbours or the people out on the street as you could see that this man.. this.. pervert, had come in through the window.

it's been months. almost a year, even.

"if you feel uncomfortable at any point then just let me know. okay?"

he thought he'd be completely over him by now.

jimin tears his gaze away from the person across the room from him and lightly smacks the shoulder of his best friend-slash-manager, who's currently frowning down at him. "chill, kook. you're making a big deal out of nothing."

jungkook raises an eyebrow but jimin only shrugs; hoping he looks a lot more relaxed than he feels inside after having seen yoongi walk into the room.

he remembers their relationship like it was yesterday. all of it — the time spent helping yoongi with his debut album, supporting him during his darkest moments. watching him hit it big after dropping his album, all of his hard work finally, finally paying off. he remembers yoongi shamelessly flaunting his relationship with jimin in his album, his interviews, and the media eating it all up, networks finding out about famous rapper agust d's c-list actor boyfriend park jimin, even calling him in for auditions. somehow landing a supporting role in a moderately successful indie film and going onto taking a lead role in some new teen drama, the whole time being knows as the other half of one of the most beloved couples in show business.

he remembers the way yoongi always had something nice to say about him to the press. the love and support and public declarations of love in the form of songs, poems, social media posts, visits on set. the way yoongi had kissed him the night they'd found out about his drama role; cupped his face and whispered promises in between kisses about how together, with both of their careers taking off, they'd become the most famous couple in the world.

and they did.

he also remembers the way it all fell apart.

the way jimin had decided to try his hand at singing, at the request of the producers of his drama's ost, and his very supportive boyfriend who had been trying to get jimin to sing with him for years now. making his official singing debut on yoongi's album, gaining fame with his ost. his company pushing him to train, better his voice, debut as a singer. all the time spent away from yoongi, all the attention being on him since yoongi had been in a creative slump. being unable to help him through it like he always did, all those promises broken because of schedules, work, interviews, rumours even.

but more than anything, he remembers the fighting. the drinking. the yelling. the bitter end of the relationship brought by circumstance, toxicity, the two of them eventually becoming too big for their relationship. he remembers the talks, the teary goodbyes, the public statement. the months spent trying to get the taste of yoongi out of his mouth, his smell out of his clothes, his voice out of his head, until he'd decided to throw all of that emotion into his career and work on making a name for himself outside of his relationship.

this is his first time seeing yoongi in person since their breakup, and his memory hasn't done yoongi any justice whatsoever; jimin almost finds it hard to look away. his hair's dark now — jimin always thought he looked softer with darker colours — a small, polite smile on his face as he's greeted by the hosts of the talk though they're guesting on. he's only wearing a dark t-shirt and ripped skinny jeans but jimin can see that he's filled out; he's broader than he was a year ago. a little more muscular.

always so damn handsome.

jimin feels a little uneasy.

"hey jungkook," jimin starts, but as soon as the words leave his mouth, yoongi turns to him and the friendly expression on his face turns to one of surprise before he manages to control it and give him that same polite smile.

"you okay?" jungkook whispers, but watching yoongi approach him, jimin can only nod. it's too late now for him to try to avoid him.

"uh. give us a sec," he says, and jungkook hesitantly lingers for a moment before making his way over to the snack table where some stylist immediately tries to make small talk with him. jimin would laugh about it if he didn't feel so nervous about having to talk to yoongi again.

he smiles when he reaches jimin but thankfully keeps his distance, hands clasped in front of him as he fiddles with one of his thumbs.

(he does that when he's feeling nervous, jimin remembers.)

"hey."

"hi."

"it's been a while, huh?" yoongi grins and jimin returns the smile with a small shrug. "congratulations on your movie. heard it was your best one yet."

jimin doesn't need to ask him if he's watched it. he hasn't wanted to keep up with yoongi either. "thanks. you too, congrats on your latest album." he takes a deep breath, prays that his voice doesn't waver when he adds "and uh, your engagement. i'm really happy for you."

as much as he's wanted to avoid the yoongi updates, there are some things that are a little hard not to find out. such as one half of the world's biggest power couple starting a relationship with some cute ballad singer in the same company as him. over half a year after the break-up. then getting engaged two months after that.

jimin and yoongi dated for 5 years.

"oh," yoongi laughs somewhat awkwardly and reaches up to scratch the side of his neck. "thank you. it's been — yeah."

and then, because he can see that yoongi's a little flustered and it puts jimin somewhat at ease — he's never been able to resist teasing a flustered yoongi, "so you're inviting me to the wedding, right? gotta let me be best man at least, i mean."

"you want to?" yoongi smirks. "you'll get the first invite then, promise."

"i'll start on my speech as soon as we're done here."

yoongi pats jimin's shoulder as he laughs, showing off that same gummy smile jimin fell in love with. and suddenly jimin doesn't feel all that uneasy anymore. after all, they were — are friends before anything else.

it's not as hard this time, when he takes another deep breath and asks, "actually, do you want to maybe get some coffee after we're done here? it's really been forever. you can treat me." he smiles innocently and yoongi rolls his eyes but nods concedingly.

"sure, fine, i'll pay. do you wanna," he pulls his phone out of his back pocket and offers it to jimin. "well. you changed your number, right?"

he did. and he knows yoongi changed his too. "oh yeah, let me just—" he quickly inputs his number and shoots himself a text from yoongi's phone before giving it back. "let me know when you're all free and ready to go, hyung?"

"got it. you know," yoongi takes a step back, tilts his head to the side as he looks jimin up and down. jimin raises his eyebrows. "you really—"

"sorry to interrupt," jungkook loudly cuts in then, throwing an arm around jimin's shoulder. "they need you in makeup, you're due on set soon." he starts to guide jimin away and jimin scoffs, lightly shoves at him before turning to yoongi as he's being led out.

"hold that thought!"

he's too busy being swarmed by stylists then to catch yoongi's response.

The grand finale of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 was just aired a few days ago on Starworld, crowning Maureen Wroblewitz as the first Philipina contestant to win the ASNTM title.

Aside from making history with her title, the 18 years old German-Philippines model will be bringing home a Subaru Impreza, gracing the cover on Nylon Singapore as well as a modelling contract with Storm model Management in London.

The grand finale concludes the 13 episodes ASNTM5 series that was filled with tears, dramas (think internal conflict and shouting young girls) and extreme challenges (underwater and defying gravity shoots) for the models, truly living up to its tagline #ExpectTheUnexpected.

“The Teenage Dream” At the young age of 15, Maureen was discovered on Instagram by a modelling agent and later relocated to the Philippines after her studies to pursue a bona fide modelling career. Despite her soft-spoke, sweetheart personality, she is full of dreams and confident throughout the tough season.

I still can't believe I'm saying this… but I'm Asia's Next Topmodel! It feels like a dream and I don't know when I'll ever realize that all this has happened to me. This has been such a crazy journey but definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience I'll never forget about. Before I entered the competition, I already doubted myself. I never even thought I would make it into the competition at all. But look at me now! 😭 I've learned so many new things. I've learned about different cultures, languages. I've learned about modeling. But I've mostly learned a lot about myself. I am stronger than I thought I was and I really don't give up! I was constantly called 'a pretty face with no skills'. But little did they know, it would just make me come out stronger and better. It became a perfect motivation for me to prove them wrong and to show them that being inexperienced doesn't mean you're a weak model. There were times where I felt like giving up, but I knew that it couldn't be an option. I was the last Filipina standing and a Filipina has never won before. I wanted to win this for my country – the Philippines and I'm so happy to say that I did. This is all for you guys! We won this together ❤🇵🇭 This experience has made me grow so much as a model and as a person and I'm so thankful for everyone involved. The support I've gotten from all of you is insane! I've never expected so many people to support me, a weird, clumsy aspiring model 😂 but I'm so grateful for it. Thank you all so much! However, being the youngest and the smallest frame of all contestants, she had been mocked for being just a pretty face with no skills but those words did not put the winner down. In a post shared after winning the title, Maureen talked about stuggles throughout the competition and her gratitude towards all her supporters, #TeamMaureen #TeamPhilippines.

As ASNTM5’s host Cindy Bishop also said to Maureen before the crowning, “Maureen, your gorgeous face has been a great advantage to you, but you also worked hard to prove that you were worth more than just a pretty face as you finally broke free of that mold throughout the weeks. You’re not only the youngest, you’re also the smallest of the competition. But you have stood tall, and silenced anyone who ever doubted you. (Rappler)”

For Maureen, any criticism that comes her way simply translated to an even stronger motivation for Maureen to perform and proved that her lack of experience was not going to stop her from being a world class model.

Similar to Maureen and Shikin, it is not surprising that Minh Tu’s top Instagram post in the past 2 weeks is a post of her finale individual photoshoot where she donned her glamorous traditional attire and thank her supporters.
