>send out pokémon with an ability-neutralizing/switching/giving move
>get rid of reshiram’s turboblaze ability that allows it to bypass my team’s ability-based immunities
>send out pokémon with the fairy typing and an ability that grants immunity to fire
>reshiram’s only effective move now is hyper voice
>either pp stall or use spite to get it to run out
>reshiram is now completely unable to attack
>i’m getting premier ball reshi if i have to die for it
edit: so first of all i did it yooo!!!! second of all i had been overthinking this reshi didn’t even have a dragon-type move so fairy typing wasn’t even necessary

ASK PROMPT: 44. What’s their pokemon team? Try to pick all 6.
Since Hex is obviously a ghost whose own power is derived from a multitude of souls, his team would focus around Pokemon that have that in common with him, primarily. Here's the breakdown:
Basculegion: Formed when countless souls of departed Hisuian Basculin possess the body of one that lived, creating a powerful and noble creature. Hex also loves fishing, so it makes sense that one of his companions is a ghostly fish.
Hisuian Zoroark: A vengeful spirit reborn from a cruel and unjust death, shunned for what it is, but very protective of those it trusts. It's full of anger and guided by spite.
Ceruledge: Also powered by ghostly resentment, the spirit of a fallen swordsman lingers in its armor. I haven't played S/V yet, but it seemed much too fitting to leave out.
Spiritomb: What I originally thought of as his companion though I'm not so sure. It's made up of 108 malicious and mischievous spirits that have been bound together in an artifact like a prison.
Honedge: A possessed sword that drains vitality from those who wield it using its cloth, Very good fit for Hex who can also do that.
Alcremie: A given. Hex has a very bad sweet tooth and would enjoy having a creature around that constantly produces sweets. Blueberry sweet version because of course it would be.
Others I considered were Impidimp and Perrserker but I'm happy with these options

A bunch of my Pokémon in Violet. They weren’t behaving very well, especially Goose which is why its picture is just its arse. I think Lucifer was the most well-behaved, only thing is that meant it was in exactly the same location in almost the exact same pose as Celeste, my other Miraidon
If you’re wondering about the names
Spriggie the Modest Meowscarada - when SV was revealed, I used Spriggie as a shortening for Sprigatito and it stuck even though he was a Sprigatito for less than half a day
Char the Adamant Ceruledge - shortening of Charcadet
Knight the Quirky Iron Valiant - its species is based on knights (this is also why my spite-caught male Gardevoir is called Knight)
Cherry the Quiet Iron Leaves - one name I wanted to call it was Sakura, which means cherry blossom, so it’s a shortening of cherry blossom
Flame the Lax Hatterene (the only non-Gen 9 Pokémon here) - she has a Fire Tera type
Celeste the Quirky Miraidon - I like my middle name
Lucifer the Modest Miraidon - I’d just finished watching Lucifer when I caught it also it’s canonically a jerk
Stingray the Mild Wo-Chien - named after the pink machine in F-Zero (SNES) - the Fire Stingray
Fox the Impish Chien-Pao - named after the gold machine in F-Zero (SNES) - the Golden Fox
Goose the Gentle Ting-Lu - named after the green and yellow machine in F-Zero (SNES) - the Wild Goose
Falcon the Timid Chi-Yu - named after the blue machine in F-Zero (SNES) - the Blue Falcon
Wheel the Naughty Iron Treads (specifically the Titan) - it is a wheel
Santa (it says Bundle, that’s a mistake) the Modest Iron Bundle - it’s based on Santa
Sumo the Lonely Iron Hands - it’s based on sumo wrestlers
Techno the Relaxed Iron Jugulis - most jittery and led of the Paradox Pokémon, also I think it was the first one I caught in Area Zero
Flame the Bold Iron Moth - only Fire-type Paradox Pokémon (another win for Violet)
Sierra the Docile Iron Thorns - something about it makes me think of mountains
Bread the Timid Dachsbun - it is bread
Fang the Relaxed Mabosstiff - it doesn’t really have an obvious theme like the other two Paldean puppies so I named her after its fangs
Candle the Relaxed Houndstone - Greavard has a candle on it

what a coincidence you mentioned legends arceus, bc i picked that up last week 😅 i really like that i can craft items in it! running for my life from pokemon is new and terrifying. filling out the pokedex is gonna be a major pain since i have to catch mons multiple times per entry, but it's nice that i dont have to battle every single one.
as for scarlet & violet, i picked sprigatito for my starter, bc its obviously the best & correct choice. my bf went with fuecoco.
the future & past mons are a cool concept. i mourn their absolutely ridiculous names though lmao. ceruledge is by far my favorite from this gen (go funky ghost knight, go), but i find the shiny version lackluster 😔
shiny hunting is a lot easier too - i actually stumbled across my first two in one day by chance :)
i was disappointed in the fact you can't really change your outfit much beyond the 4 seasonal school uniforms. i do like that none of the accessories or hairstyles are gender locked & that the uniforms are gender neutral, though.
in spite of its various bugs & glitches, i really like sv. the story is very charming and i totally didnt tear up a bit at the end haha. i havent completed a pokemon game since xy - i haven't really felt the need to. after a certain point, collecting gym badges started to feel tedious rather than fun and exciting, but these newer games have just enough oomf to keep me engaged. i may end up picking up swsh or lets go after i finish arceus 😊 or "borrow" them from my boyf for a time lol

LOL yess I've seen the videos of the alpha pokemon giving chase which is like. honestly hilarious to watch. and ooh I didn't know that's how the pokedex is filled. now that I'm on pokego that "catching without battling" thing feels a lot like pokego too! hmm getting that itch to maybe want legends arceus again.... between this and scarlet violet which one would you prefer? 🤔
help bc I always go for the water starter (unsurprisingly?) but I am naawwwtttt that big a fan of the quaxly line 😭😭😭 like the only part of that line that I like is quaxly and even then I still find the other two more adorable 😔 I'm ashamed
ohoho easier shiny hunting you say? 👀 <- spoken as someone who has never partaken in shiny hunting
a bummer abt the lack of outfits but a win for them not being gender locked! 🏆 they need to bring back the stylization available in xy with the accessibility to everything of scarlet violet
I don't know the story and now talking abt it with you makes me kinda want to get the game so nooo spoilers!!!! and omg I think the last pokemon game I completed was also xy.... the last game I PLAYED was alpha sapphire but I paused right before entering victory road 🧍🏻‍♀️
