Whichever anon sent me this today, thank you. There's no way you could have known, but a couple of days ago I suddenly and without warning lost a cat that I raised from the day he was born. When I saw this in my inbox I was confused at first, because what...checkmark...huh...but then I realized that it meant somebody had sent me something--out of the blue, just because--at a time that I really could use something good in my life, even something silly and fun. So, really, thank you. And green is my favorite "real" color, so having one of the checkmarks be green is pretty neat.

LMAO that would be so anticlimactic. Honestly, it was more angst porn than anything, I didn't have much for that section but it was feeling really lacking with only Leo's POV in there. I thought of that and was like, "well, this will emotionally damage some people, so put it in!"

Also it was a shot at other AUs where Donnie is raised by Draxum or Big Mama (he's usually with one of them-you don't usually see him with the other villain parents) and they put him into combat on a regular basis. That doesn't make sense! Like, Battle Nexus champions are probably like football players and are all incredibly fucked up even if they do survive to retirement. They wouldn't be pushing him to fight because that's not where he's useful! He gets hit wrong once and now their genius has permanent brain damage. The only reason Draxum allows him to fight is because he made sad eyes and Draxum felt bad.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? It's honestly crazy that discussion around testosterone HRT skews so much towards the beginning stages of it (to the point that you have dozens of guys thinking their transition is "failed" if they don't pass by like a year in lol) and what the initial changes of the first couple of months to years look like, like the classic laundry list of those early basic changes like bottom growth, voice drop, etc, when IMO literally none of that compares remotely to the depth and intensity of the long term total masculinization you start to experience like 3-5+ years in.
