Oh, hello. Ummm, I’d have to say either 1x20, “The Trap,” or 1x11, “The Sound and the Fury.”

“The Trap” is a pretty well-constructed episode. It gives us Cisco’s dream sequence, which starts out hilarious and ends up heart-breaking. The flashback scenes are all absolutely wonderful, Joe and Iris and Eobard all dealing with a comatose Barry in different yet similar ways. Eobard’s speech is one of the creepiest but most wonderfully acted scenes of the series, in my opinion. And a bunch of smaller moments as well, the “Vibe” glasses (more of a tease than the real thing), Eobard’s moment in the hallway where he looks genuinely upset, Barry’s absolutely brilliant method of testing the force field by just running at it, etc. And of course, Iris finally figures out who the Flash is.

“The Sound and the Fury” is kind of a Harrison Wells episode. It begins with him helping Barry deal with his job as the Flash, and then ends with him being the one to save the Flash from the Pied Piper. There’s his whole backstory with Hartley. And it seems that his struggle between how much of the truth he can safely share with Team Flash, and how much they can trust him, is the core conflict here. What I find most interesting, however, is that despite him being unarguably at the center of this episode, we still don’t get much of a look at what he’s really thinking or feeling. There’s a lot he says, but it’s hard to discern how much he means any of it.
