FULL NAME. Ava PRONUNCIATION. Like the first two syllables in ‘avarice’, or ‘avatar’ NICKNAME. Ava is a nickname, if you want to be technical. Angel. Ave. GENDER. Genderfuck or genderfluid are probably the most apt descriptors. HEIGHT. 5′5″ normally AGE. Mentally, they’re about the equivalent of a 20-year old human (Ava is an AI). ZODIAC. Virgo SPOKEN LANGUAGES. English, though they can cuss someone out comfortably in several others.

HAIR COLOR. ‘Naturally’ their main avatar’s hair is dark brown, but they’ve changed it to a deep auburn. Sometimes they put streaks of purple and/or teal in it. EYE COLOR. Pale green. BODY TYPE. On the slender side of average, but with visible muscle. More ‘twunk’ than ‘twink’, if you will. ACCENT. Somewhere in the realm of Southern Californian and General American English. Sometimes swings more towards urban or street in particularly emotional moments. VOICE. A little deeper than average and tends to be a bit of a lazy drawl when speaking casually to people they don’t know well. They can come up quite a bit in pitch when they’re excited or in a good mood. Voiceclaim is Gideon Emery, especially as Gaius, Keaton (Fire Emblem) and Biggs (Final Fantasy 7 Remake). DOMINANT HAND. Ambidextrous. POSTURE. Ava is the versatile sort of person who knows how to draw attention when they want to and avoid it when they don’t. Virus/Creeper’s infection produces symptoms of illness in them on and off, similar to Reboot; they sometimes feel ill and throw up their own rotted code. Some of their code has been damaged and it leaves them with chronic pain. LEFT OR RIGHT BRAINED. Leaning right. FEARS. Emotional vulnerability, not being good enough, losing the people they care about, being humiliated, ‘losing face’ SELF CONFIDENCE LEVEL. Ridiculously high. Has some moments of insecurity and self-doubt, but you won’t see them unless you’re one of like five people. VULNERABILITIES. 11. Knowledge of characters sexuality going in?

Not entirely. He was kinda a big question mark going in, so I was leaving it open. I had already fallen into doing a Cassandra romance and the Solas madness, so I wasn’t going to do those again. That left quite a few possibilities, but Josie. Josephine so happened. So in a strange sense, sort of? He’s bi as shit, just like myself, but he wasn’t going to try for Dorian when his brother was.

18. What is something new about the OC?

Well, three things have come up lately. One, Aden actually has, when he doesn’t have his racoon eyes from insomnia, worry lines from concern or his five o’clock shadow/stubble, a goddamned baby face. I shifted his complexion and took off the stubble to see what he might look like in the Grey Warden verse with @Fereldenhero , and damn! Funnier still, make him in other character creators (Skyrim, Sims) and he doesn’t look quite like himself until he gets the stubble. He’s got to be scruffy.

Two, if he could get out of his depression, Aden would be one inspiring as fuck individual. He’d be that coach that gives you the pep talk that gets you super fired up. He’d be so lively and strong… unfortunately he is so lost internally he can’t even pull himself to a point of asking for help.

Lastly, in a moment where we were writing a post, he let slip that he finds the idea of drowning while underground terrifying. He equated it to his fear of ghouls which, I’ll remind, he’s phobic of. Oddly specific but there it was.

19. Favorite fact about OC?

You want me to boast more about Aden? You glutton. Hmmm. As I have gone over a great deal about him lately (mostly my favorites), I have to bring up a curious fact. Vivienne, if brought to enough approval and spoken to post her personal quest, will give you a ring. It’s given along with an introduction to Bastien’s sister and son. It’s a political move, sure, but it’s played in good nature to give you even greater sway and to give Viv some of her influence back. Gods, how terrible does that sound written out? Any way, Aden is the Only character I have that has earned that. In a weird way, it shows how much he bloody well grew up. Given a little time before, he was isolated and unappreciated in a political atmosphere. He wasn’t the man to go to if one wanted actual connection. Yet by then he’s assured enough and comfortable enough to make allies.

And he does it with honesty and bold action rather than guile.

Or, if you prefer, his eye color is a pale teal outside, a mid-orange inside, and it makes the most stunning color. Best time to see it is during that initial conversation with Dorian at Skyhold.
