basic asf but manami toyota v kyoko inoue 1 hour draw is one of the best matches ever it’s actually one of my comfort matches i love long matches where no one gives up and can just keep a ridiculous pace for the entire time doing crazy shit to each other
Patalliro! is fascinating to me because of stuff like this. It's unapologetically gay - even within its anime which aired during primetime hours in 1982 - in a way that many later BL manga would never be, like the ones from the early 2000s which would never dare to call their characters actual homosexuals. Patalliro has actually aged quite well in this regard, there's something comforting about how campy it is.

What I love about comparing Idolish7 and Ensemble Stars is the fact that i7 has realistic storylines with intricately carved characters grounded in a mildly-supernatural (and, like, canonically, too) world with the worst timeline there ever was while enstars has somewhat unrealistic storylines with the most insane characters grounded in a Definitely Realistic No Supernatural Things Here (lying voice but nothing is ever confirmed) world where people are normal heights and age normally
i really do like oda i feel like i have to preface this that im chomping at the bit to get the actual plot with ace's execution moving since its been like 25 chapters and luffy STILL doesnt know somehow but im two and half chapters into amazon lily and some of this feels like its so comically misogynistic that star trek the original series in 1966 would have been like okay we need to rethink some of this
i have deep desire to write for demon slayer (and by write for it im specifically talking about zenitsu currently.) but the story is so deeply impacted by it's setting that its gonna take at least two weeks of research to do it any justice so the plans r Delayed
