that same drawing professor gave us a thought exercise one day when we wrapped up class early: split into groups and determine what three books you would use to restart civilization if humanity and all technology was wiped out today.
A lot of people chose the dictionary, to keep language alive. Some people chose classic literature or religious texts, ethical guidelines or introductions to farming and cooking. all good stuff. would lead to some very scholarly societies
i, however, apparently am an asshole, because my three books were a dictionary (suggested by my group, maintain a consistent language and help us decipher any other texts we find), a boy scout handbook (camping, fire, foraging, mending; basic survival skills that we would need), and sun zhu’s the art of war, so that we may conquer and take the resources of all of the societies that had put no thought into their defense or longevity.
it did not start out as a competition, but somehow the professor ruled that my group won

latest mental exercise btw is imagining what would happen if i put my various fav couples from other media into the position of necromancer/cavalier and hypothesizing the results. (1) this is agonizing and (2) i understand why all the OG Lyctors are so immensely fucked up and also (3) very few people are brave enough to do what Harrow did and try to defy the rules of God like that (tazmuir is so. Why does anyone else bother writing books). various spoilery thoughts:
(hypothetical necromancer listed first in each pair)
dazai and chuuya (bungo stray dogs): aside from the fact dazai seems like he would never believe in god or any higher order in the universe, i think he would convince chuuya dying for him was the best route, and chuuya would agree bc he trusts him to know the optimal strategy. of course dazai could do what he always does, and think his way into a better strategy, but that's not as fun to consider and dazai post-chuuya sacrifice would be immensely fucked up and become an even worse person and again, i totally understand why all the Lyctors are insane now.
baru and tain hu (baru cormorant): this one is soooo interesting to me because TLT is predicated on the fact killing the person you love most to gain power is the most agonizing thing you can do, and baru does exactly that at the end of book 1, and unlike harrow, she does it deliberately as a calculated move to overthrow the empire. she can't have tain hu alive, because that gives the empire leverage over her. it's interesting to me how baru and TLT get compared a lot because in TLT love is truly everything and baru is...not that. but anyway i guess we already have a good idea of how that would all play out, because it basically has
rin and kitay (the poppy war): rin is already so fucked up without losing her best friend that i'd pay $ to see it happen (sorry, kitay). she would truly go off the rails if he'd died for her. he probably would argue his way into it, seeing it as the best option—she'd never do it of her own volition—or just outright kill himself, like gideon did. shes so deadset on revenge already and him dying would just exacerbate her worst tendencies without him there to be a guardrail. (plus rin and nezha would be the FUNNIEST rival lyctors.) anyway RUIN ME RUIN US AND I'LL LET YOU am i right
i rly can't work out how murderbot and ART might work or which one is the necro/cav, particularly since their relationship is a rebellion against the idea they are objects incapable of having feelings or experiencing love, and lyctorhood is based on love. but probably murderbot is the cav given its "figuring out im not disposable to my loved ones" arc and general affinity for protecting others. but the whole "theyre robots and one of them is a giant spaceship" makes it hard for me to get far w this hypothetical

She and Aoyama battle in Just Dance
One of the best people to sit next to in Uno
Sometimes they just play Life just for fun but she always wins. She has a whole family, a car, a house, and a whole lot of money
She totally stole everyone’s money
Tsuyu Asui
She normally likes to play calm games that won’t end friendships *cough* UNO *cough*
She could totally own everyone in Clue, she just knows your tells.
She always comes in third in monopoly, she knows what to do with her money and how to properly spend it.

UNO.
Don’t play with this boy, and if you do, don’t sit next to him. One of two things could happen
1. You get PLUS 2′d and 4′d a bunch of times or at least until someone reverses it.
2. They could be plaiyng with the “7, 0 rule” and you get a hold of his arsenal deck and just have a whole lot of plus 2′s and 4′s you just kept looking back and forth from your deck to him
One time Hagakure thought it would be fun to play with jumbo cards you sat there lookin like:

She is in charge of game nights
If there’s a game they want to play they’ll have to talk to her first
She has all the games ready for next week, sometimes she asks Momo to make an extra copy of cards
If they play mafia and she’s the murderer she always wins, you could never tell if she was the murderer. She could be smiling and they would never know.

Monopoly.. oh boy
Takes his money very seriously, he always wins no exceptions
If you land on his properties yes it’s plural you gotta pay right then and there

MARIO KART AND SMASHH
Does that thing where a blue shell is coming and you back up into 2nd place
They can’t beat him at those, with the exception of Sero and Kirishima they could beat him and Mario Kart if they tried a bit harder
Bakugo wipes the floor with him in smash
Totally asks Hagakure to put more plus 2’s and 4’s in the deck to watch the chaos unfold
He could never win clue as the murderer if you ask him the right questions he will get nervous avoid eye contact and start laughing
Could never win Monopoly he always gets in jail, he’s in there so much they just made him a little jail box
Eijirou Kirishima
Hypothetically speaking if you had a Wii he would be BOMB at the wii sports games
Y’all remember those?
If you play tennis with him your not making a point on him, it’s like he’s a different person
If you’re on his team... you’re exercising whether you like it or not
Casually throws blue shells at Kaminari 
No one has the heart to plus 2 him in Uno

Like Asui he doesn’t like friendship destroying games

I like to think he had little game nights with his mom therefore, he will most likely win.
Uno? He sits across from Bakugo he knows.
He asked Iida for money in monopoly and came in dead last.
He’s a pretty fast learner so he’s the only one who could keep up with Kirishima in Wii sports.
Blue shelled Kaminari and laughed
Because of him everyone knows why the game was called “Sorry”
They once played Jeopardy but with hero questions... He got all the points

He could win Uno without using plus cards, he just sits next to the right people

Doesn’t really play that many games
He doesn’t participate in Just dance or Twister
Everyone had to teach him how to play certain games
He prefers to watch everyone play UNO and make sure Bakugo doesn’t explode the table
Could easily win clue, even though his mask hides his face it’s completely straight
Shouto Todoroki
Okay I know I said Shouji doesn’t play many games but this boy?
HE HAS NEVER PLAYED ANYYY
Every time someone suggests a game he’s like “what’s that?”
They had to teach him how to play EVERYTHING
One time Izuku needed 500 dollars in monopoly and this precocious baby wired him 500 monies..
Uno. They can’t do anything to him they would just feel so bad, with the exception of Bakugo of course he regrets nothing.

You’ll never catch him playing Just Dance. Ever.
Hagakure once thought it would be fun to play poker (no bets of course)... when I tell you Dark shadow PLAYED DIRTY
He would always win and since he and Tokoyami are attached they both won every round
Tokoyami is down to play Uno he thought it was a harmless card game.
Until he saw the raw power of the plus cards.
He never thought he’d see so much madness that was caused from one card
Dark shadow totally eats Mineta’s popcorn
Ochako Uraraka
I like to think her parents held little game nights to keep her mind off of the financial issue they were having
The best person to hang out with during games night hands down
Comes in second in monopoly she’s an expert on saving and spending money
Y’all remember when the had the little aurora thing goin on after her internship? Yeah that’s her in Uno
Don’t test her she’s locked and loaded
Will do Just Dance but she’s not as competitive as Aoyama and Mina
Loves playing “Life” she thinks it’s cute and simple
Momo Yaoyorozu
Helps Hagakure plan game nights
Makes extra Uno cards to shuffle plus 2’s and 4’s in the deck
Class 1A mom will not hesitate to break up a Uno fight
Loves the game “Life” even though Mina steals her money
Brings tea for Satou’s treats
She’s really good at battleships
Really good at clue she knows the right questions ask, and thier tells
