"You can't be serious!" Alexis Bian, the Red Minister, curses, slamming her fists on the table.
Behind a purple mask, green eyes narrow. "And if I am?"
Travis Wrede, the Blue Minister, pinches the bridge of his nose. "Adian.. Kaden.. please talk some sense into her..!"
Adian Rivas, the Orange Minister and Kaden Hull, the Yellow Minister, respectively, look at Travis and shake their heads. There was nothing they could do.
Zackary Moreno, the Green Minister, frowns. "Aite.. I don't get it! That girl is more trouble than she's worth. She's the whole reason Renata is like this!"
"I am well aware." Purple gloved hands closed a folding fan with a sharp clack!, making all the Ministers in the room flinch.
"Yet, she's valuable to the longevity of this nation."
Alexis scoffs, falling back into her chair and raising a hand. "Valuable how? As a battery? Definitely. I mean, do you see the-"
CRACK!
Alexis quickly covers her mouth, wide eyes looking towards the end of the meeting table. There, the Purple Minister had somehow slammed her folding fan through the wood, causing a large crack to splinter through the table.
The Prime Minister yanks it and dusts the wood chips off. "Tulip, as.. eccentric.. as she is now, is still very valuable. She was going to become the next head of the Orpheus Trading Company, and yet she now runs her own successful engineering business." She leans back in her chair. "On top of that, even if these changes have impacted our nation in both a positive and negative way, it's also impacted all of you in the same way."
A cold narrow of eyes came through the mask. "Or dare I bring up the Alar Incident?"
The Ministers in the room all avoided her gaze, sweating buckets. She huffs. "Exactly."
"However."
The room slowly began to grow icy cold.
"Should I find that any of you have sent letters to her, harassing her into coming to one of these parties.."
Aite Tyron, the Purple Minister, grips the edge of the table. "I'll have you arrested for conspiracy against the government and given the death penalty."
With that, the Prime Minister raises from her seat and goes to the door. "This meeting is over."
The door opens, and her heels click as she leaves.
"Fucking hell.." Kaden groans softly.
"Sometimes she gives off the impression that she's looking after Tulip spefically." Zackary frowns.

Heels clacking against the floor, and she narrows her eyes. Her feet ache, but it was dull. Something she'd gotten used to.. who knows how long ago.
She arrives at her office, but in reality, it's more like her home. She doesn't own a house, merely sleeping in a hidden room she commissioned.
Aite Tyron locks the office door behind her before scurrying over to the bookshelf. She pulls away some books and gently pushes a small panel of wood. It opens, and then there's a hand scanner. She places her hand against it, then pulls away when a ding comes.
The bookshelf slides, and she walks into the hidden room. Touching her hand to another scanner inside of it, the bookshelf closes, jostling the books back into place.
With a sigh, Aite slips off her heels and sets them by the entrance. She tugs off her mask and walks past a wooden table, throwing it onto there. With that, she also tosses on her long gloves. She gets to the bathroom and grips the sides of the sink, staring intensely into the mirror.
She then exhales and reaches up to her eyes. Carefully, she take out green contacts and sets them back in their containers. The Prime Minister then looks at the top of her head and frowns.
"My roots are showing.." She mumbles.. gently brushing her hands over the light brown, almost cream-colored roots slowly growing. She'd have to order more hair dye.
She takes off her dress and then frowns, looking at her reflection. Spreading from where her heart was were purple scars, almost like wireframe. They merely dully ached, never too bad.
Aite places a hand over her heart before sighing softly.
There was nothing she could do about it now. She needed to stop moping.
Shaking her head, she slips into a more comfortable t-shirt and sweatpants before heading back out to the living room of her private space. She plops down on the couch, turns on the TV, and grabs some blueprints.
"Now what the hell did they want me to approve?.."
A beat of silence.
".. I'd approve it if it didn't use the shiba inus side-eyes as a power source.."

Alexis and another co-founder – Jemuel Joseph (also President at Cover) started Cover Technologies Inc. in the year 2014. Having received an education of International Baccalaureate Diploma from Upper Canada College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Alexis has a vast career experience in architecture and design. Having worked as an Intern at Stantec, as an Architectural Intern at Diamond and Schmitt Architects, at Hariri Pontarini Architects, and at Tense Architecture Network, the co-founder of Cover Technologies also worked as an Architectural Designer at LivingHomes just before co-founding and running his current company.

Alexis was inspired to follow this career path after his passion for building developed in his preschool years, which led him to be named in the Forbes 2018 “30 Under 30 List for Manufacturing and Industry”. Alexis and Jemuel banded together to forge the idea into stone for the business to integrate construction and manufacturing materials and processes with their very own proprietary precision software engineering and product design. Along with a professional team of engineers, architects, designers, and builders, Cover was brought into play.

Un precioso mural, en la esquina de las calles Colón y Carabobo, justo donde está ubicado el bar Palmarejo D’ Georgos, lar devenido en un centro cultural sui generis, amaneció adornando la ciudad. El maestro artista, Francisco Verde, es el autor de estos Enamorados Imposibles, un mural que abarca una pared de 6.30 metros, una intervención pictórica que mide 4.8 metros de alto por 2.5 de ancho.

La ciudad amaneció, este Miércoles de Ceniza 2024, con una hermosísima sorpresa artística: un precioso mural, en la esquina de las calles Colón y Carabobo, justo donde está ubicado el bar Palmarejo D’ Georgos, lar devenido en un centro cultural sui generis.
El maestro artista, Francisco Verde, es el autor de estos Enamorados Imposibles, un mural que abarca una pared de 6.30 metros, una intervención pictórica que mide 4.8 metros de alto por 2.5 de ancho: es una pareja de figuras enamoradas, amándose, que está inspirada en esa escultura del francés Augusto Rodin, El Beso, revela el maestro Verde, graduado en la Escuela de Arte de Florencia, Italia y ex alumno dilecto de Niños Cantores y la Única.

“Son como dos figuras en una que se están consumiendo, que se están derritiendo, mutuamente…La paleta de colores fue pensada tomando en cuenta que hay tanta riqueza cromática en la calle y entonces establecí un punto de contraste trabajando con lo acromático, con unas notas de color fucsia que, curiosamente, es un tono que existe muy poco en estas casas…”
Francisco Verde contó de nuevo con el respaldo artístico de los miembros de la banda de música urbana, “Sopa, Seco y Jugo”: el arquitecto David Vílchez y el comunicador social Douglas Araujo. Con ellos, el realizador audiovisual Eduardo Galbán y él también arquitecto, Jairo Vílchez.

Ellos subrayan que “le estamos dando continuidad al trabajo que venimos realizando con la instalación mural, desde el 2019, en el Hotel del Lago Tibisay, una obra de 8 x 8 metros. Luego, en 2021, en el Centro de Arte de Maracaibo Lía Bermúdez”, que es la génesis oficial de la agrupación musical de “Esperando que baje el dólar”.
Recordaba Verde que “anteriormente, en esta pared, había un potente rostro de Eugenio Rivas del Pis? realizado por el Artista Miguel Herrera que ahorita está con el el proyecto de ciudad mural junto a un movimiento cultural fuerte en Caracas”.
“Hemos venido tratando la pared con las pinturas anti alcalina, con el adecuado mantenimiento antes de hacer la intervención. Esto generó una curiosidad por parte de los vecinos y con seguridad también generará esa emoción en todo el público general. “
El cantautor y arquitecto David Vílchez interviene (ellos amanecieron ayer montando su regalo sorpresa para la urbe): “Francisco partió del reto de cómo insertar una imagen en esta riqueza arquitectónica, en esta riqueza cromática, sin obviar que, como artistas, respondemos a la necesidad de hacer público el arte, de sacarlo de los espacios cerrados y que vaya y busque y encuentre a la gente en la calle. Aquí hay muchas formas de abordar el arte público y nosotros que tenemos la bendición, la gracia, de tener este clima tan estable todo el año, se puede pensar en una ciudad como museo abierto, de manera estable…Pretendemos emular y honrar el legado de los maestros como Gabriel Bracho, Ender Cepeda, Elvis Rosendo, Ender y Mario Colina, es decir, toda esa generación de artistas que han tenido ese buen impacto con su obra de arte público”.
Érika Rojas, quien junto con Rafael Delgado mantienen la heredad de la hermosa dama griega, María Paterantonaki, funge como enlace entre la obra de arte y la comunidad del centro de Maracaibo, recuerda que “el edificio se llama Palmarejo y de ahí viene el nombre del establecimiento.
Esta obra es importante, en este espacio, debido a que no solamente es una manera de darle amor a la calle Carabobo sino que también está reflejando mucho amor. La imagen nos muestra a dos personas amándose con toda la fuerza, fundidos en un abrazo prodigioso y transmite también lo que es Palmarejo, esa energía urbana que involucra a toda la comunidad que amaneció con esta increíble hermosa sorpresa de arte. Gracias a Francisco Verde, a Sopa, Seco y Jugo, así como al equipo..Esperamos que todos vengan a verla”.

CAE MÉXICO ANTE VENEZUELA Y QUEDA FUERA DE LA SERIE DEL CARIBE
Ciudad de México.- Los fantasmas de 1990 en Miami, regresaron a atormentar a los Naranjeros de Hermosillo.
La novena mexicana perdió por pizarra de 6-1 contra los Tiburones de La Guaira de Venezuela en el loanDepot Park y concretó su eliminación de la Serie del Caribe Miami 2024.
A pesar de que México se puso al frente en la tercera entrada con un imparable de Roberto Valenzuela, los venezolanos aprovecharon la fatídica para liquidar el juego.
En la séptima entrada, los campeones de la LVBP armaron un rally de seis carreras con tres sencillos de Alexi Amarista, Wilfredo Tovar y Wilson Ramos, sumados al doblete de Luis Torrens.
Con este resultado, Venezuela se coloca con récord de 3-1 y aumentó sus chances de ir a semifinales con dos juegos faltantes por disputar, mientras que México se queda con récord de 1-4.
México no quedaba fuera en la primera ronda de la Serie del Caribe desde los Charros de Jalisco en 2019 y sólo resta un juego ante los Gigantes de Rivas de Nicaragua a disputarse mañana a las 9:30 horas, los nicaragüenses no tienen victoria en el certamen.
