mark:
the first time mark hears you singing, he is amazed! he would just stand there listening for a moment before he says anything! he would absolutely ask you to sing on his next song that he’s working on because “your voice would be perfect!” he would ask you to sing often after that cause he’s just so in love with you and hearing you sing calms his mind, especially after long days
renjun:
renjun would listen to you singing, and his face would look fairly neutral, but he would feel so proud. like you could be cleaning i.n your room or doing something random and he would just listen to your voice feeling more calm than ever. he would ask if the two of you can sing a duet together, and your voices would fit together so perfectly!
jeno:
wherever you are singing, jeno is simply watching you with literal heart shaped eyes. you never fail to amaze him, and when he finds out you can sing, he just stares at you as if there is nothing more beautiful in the world, and he truly believes that. when you’ve finished your song he would walk up and wrap you in a tight hug, praising you for how amazing you sound
haechan:
haechan would be shocked at first, and then he would join you, singing whatever song you’re singing. it would turn into a whole concert with just the two of you in a room, and no audience. he would (gently) tackle you in the biggest hug and tease you a little for not telling him you have such an amazing voice. asks you to sing him to sleep when he’s overwhelmed or had a rough day
jaemin:
jaemin has nothing but heart eyes when he hears you sing for the first time. its like time stops, and there is nothing in the world except the two of you. he would encourage you to continue if you get embarrassed (would be me) and after he would always slowly enter rooms in case you are singing so that he can hear you sing without disturbing you.
chenle:
this man is a menace, honestly he would absolutely love hearing you sing, but he would look at you the first time with a smug smirk, as he starts giving you pointers, as if you werent just enjoying your time dancing around the kitchen singing Fireworks by Katy Perry at the top of your lungs… in reality he would love this so much! he would adore hearing you sing, and would adore watching you sing at the top of your lungs even more!
jisung:
his jaw hits the floor…. he's so stunned and so in awe of you when he finds out you can sing, he's got a swarm of butterflies in his stomach and his cheeks are flushed… tells you you are better at singing than he is and that you should become an idol, he truly believes you have the most beautiful voice he’s ever heard, and he makes sure you know that!

After the snack orders were sent in the group chat the other day, you had been put in charge of handling all snack matters around this movie night. Hence why you were currently standing in the kitchen organizing the food, as the rest of the Milky Way finished other pieces around the apartment, including finding space for the newly purchased bean bags for tonight. A knock at the door signaled that the night was officially about to start but as Solar announced she would answer it you continued on with what you were doing, humming to yourself.
“So…these were your exciting plans for tonight, putting food in bowls?” a voice suddenly called out to you.
As you turned around you were met with the sight of Yeonjun standing in the doorway to the kitchen, a bright smile greeting you.
“Yeah, thrilling I know” you sarcastically responded, rolling your eyes.
A warm laugh filled the space between you as Yeonjun acknowledged your answer before walking over to you
“Well maybe I can make it more interesting” he offered, placing a bag of more snacks on the counter then pulling out the ice cream he mentioned buying earlier today and wiggling it in your face. As you went to take the ice cream from him, he suddenly held the carton over his head, just out of your reach while a smirk took place on his face.
“What are you doing that for” you questioned, a slight pout forming on your lips
“Because…You called me sweet and then ghosted me all afternoon” he frowned playfully “Not sure you deserve ice cream after that….it was mean of you”
Yeonjun originally had planned to not say anything about what had happened this afternoon but apparently that plan went out the window and he wasn’t sure why it had. He watched as you stood there in silence looking up at him, struggling to find the words to answer him but as the silence grew longer his confidence about the situation started to dwindle. Just as he was about to apologize you spoke up
“I didn’t mean to be mean to you raisin boy” you chuckled “I’m sorry”
“Are you just saying that to get the ice cream” he asked before he could stop himself
“Well…” you trailed off, laughing as a pout replaced the smirk on his lips “I’m joking! I am actually sorry, you can even put the ice cream away in the freezer if it’ll help confirm it” you grinned at him.
“I believe you” Yeonjun smiled back, handing you the ice cream before turning to unpack the rest of the snacks he had brought, hoping that suddenly breaking eye contact would not give away the fact his heart was racing right now.
While you and Yeonjun finished organizing the snacks, the sound of the front door slamming open followed by a loud yell of “The party’s here” startled you from what you were doing and a low sigh left your lips.
“Come on, let's take the food out before the “party” comes to find us” you grumbled, using air quotes around the word party.
Both grabbing containers of food, you made your way to the living room to be greeted by the Milky Way and Yeonjun’s 4 friends. As you laid the food down on the table, Solar made the official introductions between everyone when suddenly you felt a presence staring at you. Turning around to look you were met with the eyes of Beomgyu who gave a sheepish smile causing you to roll your eyes, which did not go unnoticed by Solar
“Gyu…Do you have something to say” Solar questioned, bringing everyone’s attention to the matter
“Yes” he sighed “I wanted to say sorry to Grumpy for saying I’d take her stuff when if she hurtled herself into the sun” he grumbled
“You said what?!” Soobin questioned, a mixture of surprise and disappointment lacing his voice while the rest of the group giggled
“Please don’t tell me off…my mum saw the tweet and already gave me an earful” he huffed in embarrassment
Yeonjun looked between you and Beomgyu in worry, wondering if the younger boy had offended you, potentially ruining the night before it had even begun.
“Good! I don’t know how someone as lovely as her gave birth to such a horror like you” you responded, a teasing tone lacing your words.
A look of confusion crossed Yeonjuns face and as he looked at his friend he could see the same look on theirs. He figured Gyu had to know you pretty well as he was able to answer questions about your favorite items but realized he never questioned HOW he knew these details. However as Yeonjun opened his mouth to ask a question to help tame the sudden surge of questions that popped into his brain, he was beaten to the punch
“You know his mum?” questioned Taehyun, looking at his friends, then between yourself and Gyu
You nodded slowly, confused by the question before also looking at Gyu, the silence lingering between the group as you furrowed your eyebrows and scowled at him, realizing why a majority of the room was standing in confusion. Loud laughter from Nebula, Solar and Lunar broke the tension as they realized what was going on
“Y/N is Gyu’s older cousin” Solar managed to choke out in between laughter as the confused tension eased out of the room.
Yeonjun let out a short chuckle as he watched you walk over to Beomgyu and flick his forehead, letting out a disappointed sigh before mumbling something under your breath about him “being an idiot”.
Beomgyu went to find comfort in Solar after you inflicted the “injuries” on him and you found your eyes drifting back towards a certain boy. As you made eye contact with Yeonjun, you used your elbow to point at two bean bags on the floor, hoping he would understand what you were saying without you having to ask, to avoid embarrassment. Yeonjun looked between you and the beanbags momentarily before raising his eyebrows and smiling at you teasingly, making it clear he knew exactly what you were trying to say and was obviously enjoying the fact you wouldn’t ask out loud. As you watched his response you began to feel a warmth rise to your cheeks, you quickly rolled your eyes once more before leaving the room to retrieve the final snacks so “movie night could start”....at least that’s what you were telling yourself
As the movie played in the background, you and Yeonjun found yourselves focused more on talking to each other. Whether it be about the snacks you’d chosen or making silly comments about the movie, the hushed whispers barely stopped between the two of you. The entire night you had been fighting to ignore the feeling in your chest as the space between you got progressively smaller and smaller. However every time he let out a soft chuckle, made a joke or brushed his fingers against yours while getting some food, it became harder to ignore.
Unbeknownst to you Yeonjun felt a similar way, in fact he felt as if his heart might explode right now. Originally he had been content with the idea of minimal interaction with you, a casual greeting and maybe a look across the room here or there but those expectations had gone out the window the moment he walked into the kitchen. Yeonjun watched as you talked to him about the movie…or was it about the raisins….To be honest he wasn’t really sure what you were talking about right now, his thoughts wandering to what it would be like to have you sit on his lap and ramble like this or how your hands would feel in his hair as he told you about his day while you laid down together. While lost in these thoughts it suddenly hit him…he likes you. Oh shit he liked you? It had only been 5 days since you had been introduced to each other, he liked you and he was confident about that. He couldn’t stop the smile making its way onto his face as he realized his feelings however the moment was short lived as a loud voice cut through the movie, gaining the attention of everyone in the room
“Yeonjun stop staring at Y/N, you picked this movie!” Kai called out, smirking at the boy as everyone else turned to look at the pair
“Ooooooh how cute” Beomgyu chimed in, opening his mouth to say something else but was cut off by a pillow flying through the air and smacking him in the face.
“You guys are so immature,” you snapped, widening the gap between Yeonjun and yourself, moving your arms to cross against your chest, the action bringing you a sense of separation and defense.
Feeling the newly familiar heat rise to your cheeks once more, you were incredibly thankful for the decision to turn off the lights during the movie, the darkness helping to hide the shade of your face.
As everyone else finally turned their attention back to the film you could still feel one pair of eyes on you but before you could turn to meet them, you felt the bean bag next to you shift and watched as Yeonjun left the room. A heavy feeling bloomed in your chest, confused about his reaction and whether or not to go after him. You weren’t sure if following him would make things worse in terms of being teased but you came to the realization that making sure he was ok was more important. Since beginning to talk with him Yeonjun had made sure to show how much he cared about you being comfortable and it felt right to do the same for him. However as you were about to get up you saw Yeonjun walk back into the living room holding the coveted carton of ice cream and two spoons. The tension held in your shoulders disappeared as he made his way back over to his seat next to you and handed you a spoon
“Just ignore them, they’re being idiots” he whispered, smiling reassuringly at you as he took the top off the ice cream before offering it to you
Looking between him and the ice cream in slight disbelief you contemplated your next move, you were unsure why…but what you did next felt like it could be a make or break moment for you.
“It seems I was right” you whispered, scooping a small bit of ice cream from the edge of the carton on to the end of your finger “you really are sweet” you chuckled before gently dabbing the ice cream onto his nose as you watched his smile turn into a full blown grin
The rest of the night progressed very smoothly, once the movie ended everyone began to engage in conversation. Suggestions for future gatherings were put forward but as the night grew later you watched as Yeonjun unsuccessfully attempted to fight off a yawn.
“If we’re boring you, you can go home you now” you whispered to him
“You’re not boring. I had a really long practice today” he mumbled, resting his chin on his hand to look at you
“Go home and sleep then”
“But I’m having fun with you” he whined slightly as he fought to keep his eyes open
You softly chuckled as you looked at the sight in front of you, fighting the urge to run your hands through Yeonjuns hair as you attempted to coax him to go home
“We can hang out another time” you reasoned
“Promise?”
A light tsk sound left your lips as you turned your attention away from Yeonjun hoping it would help to settle the feelings of butterflies filling your chest
“Promise” you replied in a hushed voice before announcing to the room that if they did not leave soon they would have to carry Yeonjun home.
After everyone said their goodbyes and some light cleaning around the living room, you bid goodnight to your roommates before heading off to your room, sending Yeonjun one last thought before heading to bed.
