{ ♚ A DEEPER LOOK }

A gloved finger poised on the trigger, Charlotte Reynolds had never felt more powerful. This moment had been coming for years -- and she'd fought to be the one in control of it. She’d been looking for revenge for years, ever since her father had been killed for failing to repay a debt. It had been years since her father was murdered, but at Michael Romano's hand, Charlotte only felt this was right. The Romano family had a nasty habit of making their way to their cars alone. A twisted smirk came across her face as she looked at the man in front of her, a harsh laugh echoing from her lips as recognition flashed across his face. “An eye for an eye, Michael.” She’d pulled the trigger within a split second, immediately fleeing as the man fell to the ground - she’d get out before the commotion began. She pulled her cell phone out of her pocket as she walked away from the scene, making a quick call of two words, “It’s done.”

{ ♚ A HISTORY LESSON }

Charlotte Reynolds came into the world kicking and screaming - and by all accounts, she’s been that way ever since. Her father had worked with the Romano family since before she was born, and when her mother left, he only integrated himself further into their criminal underworld. She had a relatively easy upbringing, finding it to be something normal that everyone she associated with was involved in a criminal organisation of some description. That didn’t prevent her from becoming arrogant, though. Growing up with the Romanos allowed her a perspective into their family that few got to see, and manipulation was a trait that grew quickly within the Reynolds girl. She learned quickly by observing those around her, and found that manipulation seemed to get people further than anything else - so it became a tactic she adopted.

Her father had worked with the Romano family for years, but as Charlotte got older, his mindset changed. He’d been a drug dealer and informant for the mob, but eventually decided that he needed to get away from the mob. Charlotte was fourteen when her father was executed by the Romano family. Someone had caught wind that he was planning to go to the police - and from that moment, her life changed. She’d known about her father’s plan - he hadn’t quite wanted her to grow up fully immersed in a crime family with no way out, and by going to the cops, he could have guaranteed her safety and protection for the rest of her life. But that didn’t work out. She was the one to discover his body, blood stains leading through the living room of their apartment and her father shot dead on the floor. From that moment on, violence and anger have never left her veins.

Lottie chose not to go to the police. Instead, she integrated herself further into the Romano family, delusions of singlehandedly bringing down their criminal organisations filling her head. It was just that, for many years, a delusion. Without the Romano family, Charlotte Reynolds would never have survived her teen years. With her father gone, they kept a roof over her head. Lottie was well aware that it was to keep an eye on her, to ensure that she didn’t go the same was as her father did - but she was planning something a lot more brutal. Someday, she’d send a message - she just needed to lay in wait until the right moment.

She was in her early twenties when she became involved in The Church. As far as she was concerned, they stood for everything she believed in. Although she had no feelings of ill will towards the Venturi family, getting revenge and bringing down the Romanos was all that she could think of - and she didn’t care who else was hurt in the process. Over the next few years, she became indoctrinated in their beliefs - all the while formulating her own plan. And that plan began at the very roots of the Romano family.

Isabella had been under her spell for years - it didn’t take long to convince the girl that getting rid of her father would benefit her position in the Mafia - even if it was a lie. With Marisol’s help, Lottie had convinced Bella into orchestrating her father’s murder long before Isabella even knew what she was getting herself into. It had been a plan years in the making - but Charlotte was proud of it, and was ready to carry out the murder. Having blood on her hands had never been a problem - and this particular murder would be seen as justice. She shot Michael Romano in cold blood, much the same as he’d had her father executed - and walked away, leaving the man to bleed out - completely content with her plan.

{ ♚ NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT }

With the blood of a Mafia Boss on her hands, Charlotte feels somewhat invincible. Realistically, she should feel the exact opposite, but Lottie Reynolds has never been the type for looking over her shoulder. The thrill of killing the man who ordered the death of her father hasn’t worn off her, and Charlotte is thirsty for more blood. Always a violent girl, a murder has awakened a side of her that she didn’t know she had - and she’s ready to explore it further. As it so happens, watching an entire criminal organisation fall apart in front of her and removing the man who killed her father hasn’t quite been justice enough for her. She knows that Michael didn’t personally execute her father, and she’ll spill more blood until she’s happy that the debt has been settled. With her loyalty tied between herself and The Church, Lottie has no sense of fear for what she’s done - if she’s ever caught, she knows that she’s not going down alone. She has just enough people involved over the years to take the entire ship with her - and if it comes to that, she’s not afraid to do so.

{ ♚ ABOUT THE PERSONALITY }

Charlotte Reynolds has never been anyone’s idea of sunshine and rainbows; always a hurricane of a girl, leaving destruction ( and more recently, death ) anywhere she goes. Manhattan is her playground, and she’ll be damned if she does anything but play. The word danger has always surrounded her, whispered behind her back, warning people to stay away from her. Anyone who gets involved with Lottie ends up hurt - a fact that she’s inherently proud of. She’s volatile at best, ready to lash out at anyone who even looks at her the wrong way. Charlotte has never been stable, but she’s never claimed to be. Lottie is never more content than when she’s taunting someone - forever the schoolyard bully, she’s a teenager that never grew up. Deeper than that, though, she’s grown clever. Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the lord God had made - and Lottie counts herself as the most cunning of all. Girls like her should come with a warning label, and Charlotte Reynolds would proudly display hers on her arm for all to see. She’s never been afraid to use and abuse those around her - and has gotten everything she has in life by manipulating and playing games with those around her.

{ ♚ FRIENDS & FOES }

♠ Isabella Romano ( ON AGAIN/OFF AGAIN GIRLFRIEND ) - “the way she tells me i’m hers and she’s mine - open hand or closed fist would be fine.” ; Bella and Lottie are a volcano waiting to erupt. Their relationship is reckless, defined by arguments and slammed doors - yet they keep going back for more. With Michael Romano’s murder on Lottie’s hands and Bella’s conscience, the two are more tied together than ever - and as much as their close relations would prefer them to stay apart, their own deception and scheming continues to draw them back to one another. Charlotte loves her, has loved her since they grew up together - but everyone, including both of them, know that they aren’t good together. However, Lottie refuses to acknowledge that, and simply won’t give the Romano girl up. They both have blood on their hands, and Lottie’s manipulation is using that to keep Bella close to her.

♠ Caleb Bianchi ( PAWN ) - “you’re leverage, cal. nothing more and nothing less.” ; Caleb is nothing more than a pawn to Charlotte, a lasting link that she can use to gain information on the Romano family with no ties attached. With Bella trying to keep information from her, Cal is the one person she can get blind drunk and wait for him to tell her anything - and it works every time. Through Caleb, she’s struck up a friendship with Diana Johnson - another girl that she feels she can manipulate into following her every whim - but Diana may be a harder egg to crack than Caleb ever was.

♠ The Church ( ASSOCIATES ) - “power and control - give a little, get a lot.“ ; Charlotte has been associated with The Church for a few years now - and they’re the only organisation in the city that has given her the opportunity of dismantling the Romano family. Lottie takes a far more offensive approach to wrecking the mob - always on the hunt for revenge after her father’s murder, and she’s intent on turning everyone that she can to her side. In doing that, she has gained the support of both Marisol Acosta and Clarissa Addams, albeit both for different reasons. Marisol agrees wholeheartedly, Clara is young and impressionable and desperate to impress. All the same, Charlotte feels that she is slowly building her own small army, and will stop at nothing to bring down the Romano family.
