been playing through TWDG after like 10 years and I decided to draw a really self-serving idea of "what if every child throughout the series made it to Ericsons with Clem"
Duck is not a smart man but he's exceptionally loyal. His lack of wit is countered by his raw strength, despite losing a hand all the way back at the motor inn. At Ericson's he'd probably hang around with the likes of Mitch and Willy. Totally has his dad's hat somewhere.
Becca is the local pain in the ass. Constantly breaching the safe zone and acting primarily in her own interests, few people actually like her but can't deny her capability; she's good to have around in a fight. She's come to respect Clementine's resourcefulness but would never admit it.
Sarah stays firmly within the walls of the school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't pull her own weight. Following in her father's footsteps she's the closest the school has to a doctor now. She'll hang close to Clementine but also gets along with Ruby and Aasim.
Gabe Garcia is the local sadboy. He's not as moody as he was in Richmond, but he's still a little mopey and insists on stepping up. Despite her protests he's very protective of his sister, and still harbors a soft spot for Clementine - so naturally doesn't get along with Louis/Violet.
Mariana Garcia is young but capable, and weirdly well adjusted and mature for her age - she's younger than Gabe but feels like the older sister. After the New Frontier shot her eye out she hasn't been as active in a fight but she'll still insist on pulling her weight while knowing her limits. Gets on with everyone.
James Fairbanks is the oldest known surviving member of his family (unless Sam is still out there) and is brutally protective of his younger brother, Alex. Has a mutual respect with Clem and is very good at setting traps outside the school.
Alex Fairbanks would probably like to fight walkers more but James prefers he'd stick to supply runs and stay on watch. He feels stuck at the kids' table and wants to do more to help, but is at a loss on how to do so.

are there really that many bears in Alaska? asking bc you often include a very cute bear in your photo sets
It depends what part of Alaska you're in!
Juneau is absolutely overrun with Black Bears. They move around a bit, so sometimes you won't see any for days at a time, but also if you live there long enough, you're basically guaranteed to encounter a few "trash bears" just poking around garbage cans right in the downtown area. They're the hardest to see when they first start waking up because they can be anywhere, but then they get much more consistent with certain food sources. Driving past the dump, you often see them rolling around in the adjacent fields. Throughout late spring, they like to graze on the wildflowers along the roadsides, and you can often see the really little cubs with them. When the salmon run starts later in the summer, there are a few spots you can go where bears are basically a guarantee. Throughout the first 2 weeks of August and then again in the first week of September (i.e. the chum and then the pink runs), I could think to myself "I want to go see the bears today" and go see the bears. On my best day last summer, I had a total of 12-13 (with one that might have been the same bear twice).
We don't really get Brown Bears in Juneau—they show up every so often, but mostly if you want to see them in the area (and you should, because they're the really cool giant ABC Islands Bears, which are almost as big as Kodiak Bears), you need to head out to one of the islands like Admiralty, which has the world's highest bear: human population ratio (3:1!).
When I lived in Anchorage over a summer, I saw no bears around the city (though people often do!) and had to drive down the Kenai to see any Black Bears that whole year. They get Brown Bears down toward Seward and Homer too, but pretty rarely, and I've never seen one around there. On the other hand, I've never been to Denali and not seen multiple Brown Bears. And then any location you would go on trips specifically to see bears because of a seasonal food source like a salmon run (e.g. Katmai, Pack Creek by Juneau, Fish Creek in Hyder, Kodiak, Lake Clark, etc. (though I haven't done those last two yet)) will have dozens of bears around during the season.
And then there are some parts of the state (Interior and Far North) where bears are common but there is just so much space for them that you're less likely to encounter them. I have been hiking around Fairbanks a decent amount and, while you definitely have to take serious bear country precautions, I've never actually seen a bear around there. I've driven the whole Dalton Highway twice, where Brown Bears are very common, and I've only seen one over the course of a total of 8 days and almost 2000 miles covered. The Alcan route I drive on the other hand, which crosses Interior into Yukon, usually has bears—over the course of driving it three times, I've seen 5 Brown Bears and 3 Black Bears, and I've been told I had "pretty bad bear luck" on those trips (my friend Alex once had a single trip count of 9 Brown Bears and 7 Black Bears!).
I was trying to estimate the number of bears I have seen in Alaska, but it is essentially completely impossible. Definitely over 100 individuals of each species! Single days that stand out to me are that one 12 bear day in Juneau (that was at the Shrine during the end of the pink salmon run), one day driving the main road into Denali when we had a total of 22 Brown Bears and started having to drive right past them since we wanted to have time to look for other wildlife, and the only time I've been to Brooks Camp in Katmai, when we had a conservative estimate of 48 total Brown Bears.
This turned into a very long answer (can you tell I love talking about bears!) but basically: tl;dr yes there are a metric fuckton of bears in Alaska.

Nights We Shared
'Cause it's 4:03 and I can't sleep without you next to me ─ Bell's no stranger to having difficultly sleeping, Mason and Woods are her rock. AO3.
Characters: Bell, Alex Mason, Frank Woods
March 20th, 1985.
Four years since Alex and Frank brought her home after Solovetsky.
Several months since Adler had killed Stitch and Kuzmin had revealed that Perseus had been taken by cancer in '83. Perseus's operation had been put in the ground, for good this time. Russell had finally gotten what he wanted, after seventeen years of constantly running around in circles, aimless chasing that often put him at dead ends.
He'd wanted to pull Sena onto the mission of bringing about Stitch's end, but Woods and Mason had immediately prevented that, and for doing so, she owed them. They'd saved her life, moved her to the safety of Alex's home in Fairbanks, where she watched over David alongside Alex. Woods was around as much as possible, whenever he wasn't away for work, while she and Mason settled down into the life of retirement, for their son.
They were happy, and that was the important part to Bell, the thing that mattered the most.
It was midnight, Bell was practically sandwiched in-between Alex and Frank, Mason's arm hoisted around her waist, while Woods had placed his forearm over her chest, snoring obnoxiously. Her eyes glued to the ceiling, a small sigh escaping her.
Some nights, sleep came difficult and this was no exception.
Four years, and she still had night terrors about what happened back in West Berlin. They wouldn't leave her, not yet. Adler's voice occasionally popped in the back of her mind.
Bell, we have a job to do.
There it was, again.

It was the same scenario that she went through, countless times, strapped down in that gurney, an intracerebral injection directly through the eye. Sims and Park stood off to the side, simply looming over her as the mixture of the code words and drugs got the better of Bell's system and mind.
She was back on the downed copter, the sounds of gunfire ahead in the distance. It was a lot to wrap her head around, a voice booming in the back of her skull, barking a barrage of orders but they sounded muffled, as if that person was speaking to her from underwater.
Regardless, Bell pushed onwards until she reached a split trail. Adler's voice was much clearer.
"… Took the path to the right, not the left."
Instead, she moved left. Then, across the bridge.
A lot of it was blurry, locked away fabricated memories that she couldn't bring herself to glance back upon.
Fire surrounded a bright crimson door. Opening it revealed darkness.
Left, down the zipline, into the hatch in the ground. She began her descent down that ladder, only for it to snap and leaving her falling what felt like forever, only for it to end when Adler gave her a new scenario.
That too, was blotted out in Bell's mind.
She continued resisting, pushing onwards and ignoring every direct command. Adler pushed right back, until he finally grew sick of the game of running around in circles.
"Bell. Go through a door." He sounded furious.
More refusal.
He huffed. The environment around her drastically changed, sealing her in a small space, the only way forward being that goddamn red door. Her chest swelled with mixed emotions, mainly confusion and panic.
Then her vision went dark.

Bell awoke with a sharp gasp, beads of sweat rolling down her temple, a hand clutched to her chest. Just a nightmare, Bell, nothing more.
She carefully moved Frank's arm to the side and unwrapped Alex's from her body, before hauling herself upward and slid off the edge of the bed, picking up one of Mason's discarded shirts from the floor and putting it over her small frame, it nearly drowned on her. She also happened upon a package of cigarettes and a lighter Frank left on the wooden dresser, so she retrieved those and tip-toed across the bedroom floor, quietly opening the door to their balcony and moving to lean against the railing, lighting her cancer stick and propping her arm up, blowing smoke into the cold Alaskan air. She stood there for a couple of minutes, running her gaze over the gathering goosebumps along her forearms.
She heard movement behind her, slightly turning her head to investigate the source of the noise curiously. Mason had woken up, likely from her absence amongst the blankets.
Like her, he sometimes had his own troubles with falling asleep, and it was an easy task to wake Alex up. Frank, on the other hand, was a entirely different story. He could nearly sleep through just about anything.
Sena continued resting against the railing, smoking and redirecting her attention to the long stretch of snow that went on as far as the eye could see. Mason eventually stepped outside, adorning a pair of wool pants and a jacket over his shoulders, no time wasted in moving closer to the red-haired woman, hands sliding over hers while he remained close, his body heat rolling off like waves and washing over her.
"Damn, it's cold out here. Can't sleep?" He spoke with a low, tired rumble. Bell leaned into him.
"Yeah."
"I know the feeling." He threw one arm over her, while reaching for the nearby pack of cigs, wedging one in-between his teeth. Ducking his head slightly, his cigarette met the end of the lit one in Bell's mouth, letting his own ignite and come to life. Their eyes locked for a brief period, standing in a short-lived silence. She ducked her head and laid it against his chest. He slowly pulled her into a warm embrace, moving to the floor with her.
Tentatively, he ran a calloused hand through her hair, red strands curled around his fingers. She breathed quietly against him, blinking away tears for a moment. "We've got you, Sena. Nothing's gonna happen to you again - me and Frank will make sure of that." His other hand squeezed her shoulder reassuringly.
"Thanks."
"Always."
More peaceful silence loomed over the pair before the bedroom light switched on and Frank stepped onto the balcony, squinting and propping his arm against the doorframe. "Little early for that birthday celebration, eh?"
Mason chuckled, Bell suppressed a grin.
"Another year, old man."
"Not that much older than you, Al."
Woods scooted over to them, taking a cigarette for himself and lighting it before joining them in huddling, amusement sparkling in his blue eyes. "Someone's freezing."
"Can it, Frank," Bell commented humorously.
"Make me, Sena."
Mason groaned slightly, though he was also grinning from ear-to-ear. "Never a dull moment with you too. It's getting late."
"Let's get you and Bell here to bed. Long day ahead of us. But first..." Woods' hand squeezed Bell's thigh teasingly, Mason got the hint there to play along, pressing his lips into the crock of her neck.
She let out a yelp, that melted into muffled laughter.
Both men exchanged glances and chuckled in unison. Around them, snowflakes started to drift in the open area.

⌛ — something with your dad.
ㅤㅤㅤWarme Sonnenstrahlen weckten Elijah durch die weißen Vorhänge, die der Wind immer wieder in das Zimmer trug. Das Fenster war offen und die Staubpartikel, die sich in der Luft befanden, reflektierten das Licht. Sobald sich der feine Staub mit den Pollen, die durch das offene Fenster herein getragen wurden, vermischte, sah es aus, als würde feiner Sprühregen in dem Gästezimmer nieder regnen.
ㅤㅤㅤEs war der 20. März, drei Monate nach der Jahrtausendwende, und der Junge aus Fairbanks war nicht bei sich in der Heimat, nicht bei seiner Mutter und seinem Stiefvater, sondern im sonnigen Philadelphia; dem Ort, an dem sein leiblicher Vater schließlich sein Zuhause gefunden zu haben schien. Es ehrte Elijah, dass er seinen Vater in Philadelphia besuchen durfte. Denn Alex ⸺ der Mann, der seine Mutter geschwängert und kurz nach der Geburt hatte sitzen lassen ⸺ hatte seinem Sohn als Geburtstagsgeschenk erlaubt ihn in hier zu besuchen. Das war das schönste Geschenk, welches der Junge an seinem sechsten Geburtstag bekommen hatte.
ㅤㅤㅤDer Grundschüler hatte, im Rahmen dieser Einladung, sein hart erarbeitetes Geld zusammengespart, hatte Schnee geschippt für die Menschen, die man als 'Nachbarn' bezeichnen konnte, auch, wenn ihre Häuser stets einige, wenige Kilometer entfernt waren. Mühselig war der Brünette durch den Schnee gewatet und oftmals erst weit nach Anbruch der Nacht nach Hause gekommen; durchgefroren, aber mit dem breitesten Lächeln der Welt auf den Lippen. Auch, wenn die hart verdienten 160$ nicht ausreichten, so bot ihm seine Mutter, in Rücksprache mit seinem Stiefvater, an, dass sie den Rest finanzieren würden und sofern er eine Woche weg bliebe. Um selber so etwas wie Urlaub zu haben.
ㅤㅤㅤEr wachte auf, als die Sonne aufging und nahm das Bild, was sich vor ihm bot eine Weile lang in sich auf. Es roch anders als zu Hause, weniger nach Holz, sondern mehr nach Whiskey, dem Aftershave seines Vaters und einem süßlichen Duft von Karamell. Am Vorabend hatten sie sich Popcorn gemacht und The Big Lebowski geschaut; ein Film, den Elijah zwar nicht verstand, aber einfach lachte, wenn sein Vater es tat. Die längste Zeit war dieser Film sein Lieblingsfilm.
ㅤㅤㅤDas Gästezimmer wurde in ein sanftes, fast gelblich wirkendes Orange getaucht. Der Baum vor dem Fenster des Gästezimmers warf Schatten auf den Boden neben seinem Bett, feine Lichtspiele tanzten über die Dielen und der Sechsjährige spürte eine Vorfreude in sich aufsteigen, die ihres Gleichen suchte. Egal welche Abenteuer er heute mit seinem Vater bestreiten würde, er wäre auf jeden Fall gewappnet.
ㅤㅤㅤVorsichtig klopfte er an der Schlafzimmertür seines Vaters, ehe er behutsam die Tür öffnete, ihn musterte, wie er schlief. Neben ihm lag eine Frau, die nicht Elijahs Mutter war und sie sah zu ihm, als er im Türrahmen stand. "Your kid's awake", nuschelte die Blondine undeutlich gegen den Oberarm des Mannes neben ihr, rüttelte leicht an ihm, ehe er sich müde aufrichtete und zu seinem Sohn sah.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Wait outside, Elijah", brummte er verschlafen und ließ sich zurück in das Bett fallen, woraufhin sein Sohn nickte, die Tür schloss und sich im angrenzenden Wohnzimmer auf die Couch setzte, still wartete, bis sein Vater Zeit für ihn hätte. Elijah war ein aufgewecktes Kind, aber nicht zwangsläufig laut, insbesondere dann, wenn er es nicht durfte. Frank, sein Stiefvater, hatte ihn oftmals in die Schranken gewiesen, wenn er zu laut war, weshalb der Junge irgendwann nur noch sprach, wenn er gefragt wurde. So umging er die unschönen Auseinandersetzungen und es fiel ihm leichter den Vorzeigesohn zu mimen, der er immer sein wollte.
ㅤㅤㅤDie Blondine hatte das Schlafzimmer alleine verlassen, der Junge hat ihr dabei zugeschaut, wie sie sich die Schuhe neben ihm anzog und er musterte sie kurz. Sie war hübsch, hatte feine Gesichtszüge, hellgrüne Augen mit bernsteinfarbenden Farbpigmenten um die Iris und ein nettes Lächeln. "Are you in love with my Dad?", fragte Elijah sie schließlich und die junge Frau schien etwas perplex bei seiner Frage, sie zog die Augenbrauen zusammen und lachte dann leise. Der Sechsjährige verstand nicht recht warum sie lachte.
ㅤㅤㅤ"No, I'm not. Your dad just loves college football, chemicals and...⸺ women", schmunzelte sie kopfschüttelnd, sie schien mehr mit sich selbst zu Reden als die Frage zu beantworten. Die Frau stand auf, richtete ihr Kleid und strich über das Haar des Sohnes ihres One-Night-Stands. Elijah verstand nicht so wirklich was sie mit ihrer Antwort versuchte zu sagen, aber er nickte nur verstehend, im Wissen das Erwachsene es nicht mochten, wenn Kinder dauernd Rückfragen stellten. "Your dad's awake. You can go in there", sprach sie weiter und deutete mit einer Kopfbewegung in Richtung des Schlafzimmers.
ㅤㅤㅤElijah knetete seine Hände, folgte ihrem Blick zum angrenzenden Raum, sah dann doch wieder hoch zu ihr. Zögerlich stand er auf, kaute auf der Innenseite seiner Wange, bevor er achtsamen Schrittes in Richtung des Schlafzimmers ging. Sein Blick ging erneut zurück in das Wohnzimmer, vermutlich nur, um sich noch ein weiteres Mal versichern zu lassen, dass es wirklich in Ordnung war in das Schlafzimmer zu gehen, auch, wenn sein Vater zuvor was anderes gesagt hatte. Doch die Frau, die seinen Vater nicht liebte und dennoch mit ihm in einem Bett schlief, schloss die Tür zu dem kleinen Bungalow hinter sich. Jetzt musste er mutig sein.
ㅤㅤㅤVorsichtig kletterte er zu dem Mann ins Bett und musterte ihn eine Weile, wie sein Brustkorb sich hob und senkte. Zögernd kam er näher und überlegte sich zu ihm zu legen. Doch wie er seinen Vater kennen gelernt hatte mochte er Berührungen nicht so gerne. Zumindest nicht von ihm, bei Frauen war er da anders. Vermutlich meinte die Blondine das: Dass er Frauen gerne mochte. Er vermied es ihn zu berühren, aus Angst, dass er ihn zurück nach Fairbanks schicken würde und dafür war ihm der Preis zu hoch. Behutsam weckte er den Mann, der seine Augenbrauen zusammen zog und sich wegdrehte. "Nah, Elijah, not now", sagte er und zog die Decke höher, was Elijah amüsierte, woraufhin er die Decke herunter zog, ihn erneut leicht am Arm rüttelte und ihm dann doch näher kam. Was ihn dazu getrieben hatte die Grenzen seines Vaters missachten konnte er bis heute nicht erklären. Mit seinem Körper lag er halb über dem seines Vaters, lächelte breiter auf und musterte ihn. "What are we doing today?", fragte er, wobei er seine Aufregung kaum verstecken konnte. Selbst, wenn er als Antwort nur ein "Was auch immer" bekommen hätte, wäre er vermutlich freudestrahlend bei ihm geblieben und hätte sich seinen Tag nicht schöner ausmalen können.
ㅤㅤㅤLetztlich hatte der Junge seinen Vater noch schlafen lassen, war aber zu wach und zu aufgeweckt, als dass er sich noch hätte schlafen legen können. Schon bevor er das Flugticket hatte wusste er, dass er sich, sobald er bei seinem Vater wäre, nur von seiner besten Seite zeigen würde. Denn irgendwo in ihm war Hoffnung. Hoffnung, dass er vielleicht bei seinem Vater bleiben könne, anstatt an einen Ort zurück zu kehren, der sich nicht wie ein Zuhause anfühlte.
ㅤㅤㅤVorsichtig ließ er etwas Butter in der Pfanne zerlaufen, bevor er den flüssigen Teig in die Pfanne gab und zusah, wie er langsam an Glanz verlor, matter wurde und sich feine Löcher an der Oberfläche bildeten. Sein Frühstück, wenn er Zeit hatte, bestand aus allem, was Kinder sich morgens machen würden, ließe man sie täglich entscheiden. Pancakes, Waffeln, zuckersüßes Müsli, manchmal auch Süßigkeiten. In seiner Heimat frühstückten sie selten. Sein jüngerer Bruder, David, hatte morgens keinen Hunger und wenn er nicht aß, machte es für Marion und Frank wenig Sinn, groß Frühstück für Elijah aufzubereiten. Gerade, als er den vierten Pancake auf den Teller neben dem Herd aufgeben wollte kam er mit seinem Zeigefinger der Pfanne zu nah und verbrannte sich. Er hisste leicht und ließ die Pfanne los, welche recht unsanft auf der Herdplatte aufkam. Das Scheppern ließ den Jungen zusammenzucken, er schaute auf seinen Finger, der leicht gerötet war und erschrak, als er plötzlich jemanden hinter sich spürte. Alex' warme Hände legten sich an die Arme des Jungen, er zuckte zusammen und sah zu seinem Vater hoch, entschuldigte sich mehrmals für sein Versehen und erklärte, dass er nur Frühstück für ihn machen wollte. Doch der Amerikaner blieb ruhig und beachtete die Entschuldigungen seines Sohnes nicht. Stattdessen ging er mit ihm zu dem Waschbecken links neben dem Herd, drehte das kalte Wasser auf und Elijah sah mit seinen großen blauen Augen zu ihm hoch. Er weinte nicht, das tat er ohnehin selten und machte keinen Mucks, um ihn nicht zu verärgern. "Better?", fragte Alex seinen Sohn, der nur stumm nickte und auf seine Hand blickte, umschlossen von der Größeren seines Vaters.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Better...", begann er, zögerte kurz und lehnte sich an den Körper seines Vaters, der hinter ihm stand. Elijah traute sich nicht zu ihm hochzuschauen, aus Angst, dass er doch wütend war. "Thank you, Dad", murmelte er leise.
ㅤㅤㅤ"No, Elijah, it's Alex, not Dad."
ㅤㅤㅤ"Sorry... Thank you, Alex."

IV. DO THEY HAVE UNDERLYING MOTIVATIONS?
not particularly. she has secret, hidden, or misleading motivations in the case of targets (i.e. they believe she is a frightened vulnerable single woman they can take advantage of; she wants to see if they try to take advantage so she knows whether or not she should murder or rob them. she appears to want to collaborate with the sheriff's department because she's been gathering intel on and has had personal brushes with the project; she actually wants to collaborate with the sheriff's department so they have an inside woman on the ground if nancy can't be reached or intervene remotely). if she isn't intentionally misdirecting someone by witholding information, though, the answer is no. what you see is what you get. most people simply don't see it until it's too late.
VI. DO THEY HAVE ANY TATTOOS? WHAT ARE THEY, AND WHY DID THEY GET THEM?
she most certainly does! visible in these commissions by anna @/minilev and nika @/delicateweapon (and here and here by me for acquisition progression shots).
she first got the lilies & vines in full sleeves up both her arms when she was seventeen, a year after she had run away from home and had been formally disinherited by her parents (rebirth, but also a nod to purity with underlying toxicity, as well as how she had been used, a sort of reclamation of her innocence — ironic, perhaps, since she had been hitchhiking across the county living off of what she could swipe and con from sleazy men she encountered, but to her, this is using her prowess for good, as opposed to her father’s means and ends & the corrupt capitalist elite she left behind).
she got the roses & thorns on her right shoulder & neck (beautiful, associated with desire & passion, will make you bleed) around the same time, being essentially an extension of the same piece and fairly self-explanatory in their thematic relevance (the duality of how she sees herself & how she is seen).
the serpent and carnations she acquired around her nineteenth birthday, not long after her first kill (in the parking lot of the strip club where she had been working as a dancer for ease of hunting). beyond the conspicuous serpent in the garden imagery — the seen vs the unseen and the physical vs the intangible — they’re there as a mark of defiance, a balance to the duplicity that she only perpetuates through omission and redirection. she’s shown you what she is. she wears it on her skin. it is not her fault that you failed to pay attention.
she has john’s initials on the left pulse point of her neck in place of a wedding band. this, along with the project cross on her left hand, are her only tattoo acquisitions after joining the project. (the enormous wrath on her tits is technically a scar).
XVI. HOW DO OTHER CHARACTERS IN THE STORY VIEW THEM?
this wildly varies both by person and point in the story. the earliest characters in her story, her parents, are also divided. lawrence adores her, loves her as an extension of himself, and a remarkably useful & pretty tool. isabela is terrified of her from the first, convinced there is something deeply wrong and potentially otherwordly in her. neither of them are technically incorrect. neither of them know her at all.
that is, essentially, the recurring theme of her life; lyra is almost universally liked or desired, but not known and therefore fundamentally unloved. this both does not bother her and bothers her immensely; it is expected, and justified, she feels, but she also very desperately wants to be seen and loved — she is simply unwilling to inflict herself on anyone in that capacity until she finds her like in the seeds & the project, where she is loved, respected, and invaluable. to the civilians, she’s an outsider who rolled into town shortly before the documentary crew led by alex arrived & vanished (though they’re unaware of her part in their demise, instead believing she was in some way associated with them as someone investigating the project in a freelance capacity). they quickly come to believe that john has developed a fixation on her that led to her particularly brutal scarring, and she neither corrects them nor supplies false information; they operate on this assumption until her presence at his side at the gathering at lamb of god church. a few of them (kim, tracey, jess) feel that something is Off About Her, but largely attribute it to her affected way of speaking, her ostentatious manner of dress, and her status as a relatively recent newcomer instead of anything more nefarious.
she is kim’s lifelong thorn in her side. they spend the entirety of far cry new dawn passive aggressively rearranging the furniture in the ranch after lyra & her surviving chosen roll up and occupy it during the conflict with the highwaymen.

Rays Edge Twins 7-4.
Rays 7 Twins 4 W-Glasnow (9-5) L-Gray (7-7) SV-Fairbanks (23)
The Minnesota Twins have a fairly easy schedule to close out the regular season. They would face their toughest remaining test tonight in the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field. The Rays were ready from the start as Yandy Diaz led-off the first with a single. Randy Arozarena then dumped a single to left and Josh Lowe rocketed a single to center, which scored a run. Tampa Bay had a one-run lead before Minnesota grabbed a bat. The Rays would add on in the third as Randy Arozarena reached on an error by Carlos Correa. He reached second on a groundout and third on a wild pitch. Jose Siri singled him home to double the Rays lead. The Twins would find some offense in the fourth as Max Kepler knocked a Tyler Glasnow slider out to right for a solo homer. The Rays would answer in the fifth as Josh Lowe reached on an infield single. Jose Siri was hit by a pitch and Taylor Walls belted a Dylan Floro fastball out to right for a three-run homer. Yandy Diaz added a solo shot in the sixth off Brent Headrick and the Rays extended their lead to five. Brandon Lowe and Randy Arozarena singled and Vidal Brujan hit an RBI groundout. The Rays had a 7-1 lead, but the Twins would inch closer in the bottom of the sixth. Eddie Julien and Alex Kirlloff started the inning with singles. Royce Lewis then smoked a Tyler Glasnow fastball out to left for a three-run homer and the Twins were within three. Tyler Glasnow finished off six innings and the bullpen did the rest. Kevin Kelly fanned two in a 1-2-3 seventh and Jake Diekman struck out two in a scoreless eighth. Pete Fairbanks had a clean ninth as the Rays took the opener from the Twins tonight.
-Final Thoughts- Sonny Gray struggled with control, but kept his team in the game. He went four innings and allowed two runs on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Dylan Floro gave up three runs in the fifth, Brent Headrick allowed two over 2 1/3 innings, and Josh Winder retired the last five men. Max Kepler led the way with two hits on the night. The Twins hit 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position and left four men on base. Tomorrow, former Twin Zack Littell will face Joe Ryan in Game 2.
