Book launch poster for A Power Unbound, book 3 of Freya Marske/@fahye's spectacular The Last Binding trilogy which has completely taken over my brain for the last few years. See the ones I did for book 1 and 2 here (they do look nice all lined up, if I say so myself!)
This book has so much cool action and twists and turns, and one of my favourite romances of all time (it's somehow the softest and the spiciest). Added all the other characters as well because I adore them, the most hyper competent yet chaotic protagonist group ever to run amok in 1909.

I haven’t seen anyone else point this out yet, but this is one of Robin’s visions from the first book. If I’m not mistaken, I’m pretty sure this is our one and only anti-bourgeoise journalist.
He’s been a character since the beginning.

[Alan decided to hang out with Robin and Edwin at Robin's place] Robin: [puts a hand on Alan's shoulder] Alan... do you regularly read The Roman? Alan: I- Robin: [pulls out a pamphlet of The Exploits of a Cabin Boy] This so happens to be Edwin's favorite

In honor of A Restless Truth, a sequel to this Leyendecker inspired piece I did for Book 1. Featuring some of my all time favourite secondary characters and a random seagull that’s not in the book (spoilers) @Fahye

A Power Unbound, ch 18 // ch 32
Text: Christ, he was so tired, and Jack was so unbearably solid. If Alan went over and hit him, or flung obscenity in his face, or leaned his forehead against Jack’s sternum—that stupid broad chest clad in expensive wool and silk and cotton—Jack wouldn’t shift. Alan had never needed to lean on anyone. It was intolerable that he now kept turning out the pockets of his soul and finding caught in their seams the desire to let someone else take his weight. The desire to be held, even kissed.
On the way there, it illuminated Alan. The part of Jack that enjoyed being right and was generally convinced of his own rightness tried to tell him that he wasn’t surprised. But he was. Every large and dreadful thing that had ever happened to him in his life he had worked his way through, afterwards, alone. It was a new experience, to want his solitude and then find someone intruding on it and be glad. A small gladness, like a mouthful of good wine, but world-shaking in its novelty. Not since Elsie died had there been someone whose company Jack preferred to his own.
