Book launch poster for A Power Unbound, book 3 of Freya Marske/@fahye's spectacular The Last Binding trilogy which has completely taken over my brain for the last few years. See the ones I did for book 1 and 2 here (they do look nice all lined up, if I say so myself!)
This book has so much cool action and twists and turns, and one of my favourite romances of all time (it's somehow the softest and the spiciest). Added all the other characters as well because I adore them, the most hyper competent yet chaotic protagonist group ever to run amok in 1909.
my The Last Binding tag, and my art tag

I’ve only just realised that Hawthorn is a full 10 YEARS OLDER than Robin and Edwin (if I’m remembering correctly) and 16/17 years older than Maud….
The Blyth Siblings 100% bully him for it.

There is such a criminal lack of fanart for this fandom that it got me off my ass to finally post some art on this account.
Anyway who else is barely waiting for the release of A Power Unbound? I didn’t think I could want an unreleased book more than I did Alecto the Ninth, but I was mistaken.

The one thing I wanted from A Power Unbound by Freya Marske was Jack apologizing to Edwin for treating him like shit, and I'm glad to say I got exactly that! And yet they can't seem to stop putting my poor boy Edwin through hell at the end :((

The Last Binding - Soldier, Poet, King
Edwin and Robin: King and Soldier
Edwin is a reluctant King, and people doubt him throughout his journey. Helpless, Edwin considers abandoning the crown for good. However, his loyal Soldier, Robin, stays by his side no matter what. With Robin's unwavering support, Edwin self-actualizes into a King that will forever go down in history.
Maud and Violet: Soldier and Poet
In the midst of her duties across the treacherous sea, Maud the Soldier encounters the mysterious and wondrous Poet, Violet. She is immediately enamored with Violet, but has to work to uncover the true meaning of her words. By the end of their adventure, Violet's wisdom makes Maud consider what she knows about the world, but Violet is taken by Maud's bravery and optimism, which are an inspiration to all.
Alan and Jack: Poet and King
Jack the King looms over his riches with his dragon-like presence, but secretly yearns for someone who can match up to his caliber. The sly and tenacious Alan the Poet uses his witty tongue to navigate through Jack's defenses, but unknowingly walks deeper into his embrace. Jack willingly gets lost in Alan's stories, and his flames provide a cozy spot for them to be lost together.

i always say people complaining about enemies to lovers that are too tame, like “oh but they weren’t real enemies, they just hated each other and argued and thought the other was hot” and that’s valid but also. that’s exactly what i want. the ideal dynamic is two catty bitches sighing and going “well, i guess i have to fuck him”
