So, in order to procrastinate from actually writing, I found myself looking up voice actor profiles on TVTropes, and stumbled upon Alan Oppenheimer--
I'm no stranger to his work--both live action (Get Smart and Hogan's Heroes) and voice acting (he voiced at least one of the 13 Ghosts on Scooby-Doo and multiple voices in Kid Icarus: Uprising).
But that last line in his bio hit me like a proverbial ton of bricks--
You see, in season 3 of Hogan's Heroes, Alan was cast as Group Leader Freitag, one of the most dangerous adversaries the Heroes faced, who was literally obsessing over grilling Hogan for information about... the Manhattan Project.
What I want to know was whether the casting department was aware of Alan's relation to Robert, or whether this was, in fact, the most ironic casting in the history of sitcoms.
I dunno if he still does conventions or if he'd even remember playing Freitag (was literally a oneshot role from 1967) but if anyone gets a chance, please ask him.
“Little Go Beep” audition tape from December of 1998, for the role of “Papa Coyote.” So many wonderful submissions from great actors. The part “Cage E. Coyote” ultimately went to the legendary Stan Freberg.
With a happy heart, I met Mr. Alan Oppenheimer (voice of Vanity Smurf) today at Creep I.E. Con at Ontario Convention Center...🥹💕
My dearest wish came true today when I spoke with Vanity Smurf's original voice actor, Mr. Oppenheimer. He was polite to me and friendly and he spoke to me in Vanity's voice!! 🥹 I remember he said to me, "I'm Vanity Smurf and this is my mirror!" (while he held my Vanity Smurf plush and held my heart shaped pink mirror) Then Mr. O continued to me, (in Vanity's voice) "And which Smurf are you?" Confidently, I replied with a smile "I'm Smurfazalea!" Vanity said, "Smurfazalea, Smurfazalea. You're beautiful." 🤗🦋🌸✨ If you haven't met Mr. Alan Oppenheimer in person, you are missing out on your happiness of a lifetime because he genuinely enjoyed talking with me about Vanity and he told me he was surprised that I was the only fan who mentioned Vanity Smurf to him in many years! Many fans talk to him about Falkor and Skeletor, but I was the refreshing centerpiece at his table who brought up things about Vanity that Mr. O. forgot about.
You know, it's been 40 years since he voice acted as Vanity in the classic Smurfs cartoon. 😃 Mr. O. sweetly smiled at me with his soft brown eyes, (shook my right hand three times!) And I continued giggling every time he spoke in Vanity's voice. ✨WOW✨ My dad was there with me talking to him as well, and Mr. O. really liked my Vanity Smurf shirt that I custom-designed, Mr. O. said it's very cute and beautiful. He also thought my Vanity plush was beautiful.☺️As long as I live, I told him, "I only came to see you and I'll never forget this day!" 🥹 I left the building feeling on top of the whole planet Earth. 🌎
Lastly, I wish Mr. Alan Oppenheimer, & Vanity Smurf, all the best! 💕Thank you, thank you, Mr. O. for giving us Vanity's beautiful voice. Thank you, Lord, for the best day of my life🙏🙏🌸💕✨

Fan-Casting Characters From My Version of Loki Season 2:
Irrthar: Gabriel Byrne
After watching him in Hereditary and the 1994 version of Little Women, I kept picturing him as Irrthar the whole time I was writing the script. He was also a great villain in Shipwrecked (1990), a really underrated movie.
Alia: Moses Ingram
She absolutely slayed in Obi-Wan Kenobi! Racist haters can kiss my ass.
Drrf: Griffin Newman
Loki comic writer Daniel Kibblesmith suggested him as the voice of Drrf and I 100% agree with this casting.
Frosti: Alan Oppenheimer
I kept imagining Frosti having the same voice as the Rock Biter from Neverending Story lol
