I was super excited to see this show and I wasn't disappointed. The female leads drew me Veronica Castro is an Icon of Mexican Television, Cecilia Suarez has graced both the small and big screen, and Aislinn Derbez is an upcoming star with several movies and shows under her belt. The show deals with the familia De La Mora who owns a flower shop called "La Casa de las Flores" and its seen as the perfect moral family. The show kicks off with the Patriarch's lover committing suicide in the flower shop. This triggers the revelation of many hidden secrets the father's secret running of a drag queen cabaret with the same name as the flower shop, the son's secret gay affair with the family's accountant, and the struggle to keep the flower shop afloat. The best treat is seeing strong women in charge, the three female leads run the house and get the family out of most situations. Matriarch Virginia (Castro) does everything to keep the situations in control and protects her family. Oldest daughter Paulina ( Suarez) takes after her mother and has a few tricks up her sleeve. The youngest Elena (Derbez) is still honing her skill but she is no push over. This series is definitely best enjoyed in spanish. There is plenty of pop culture references and Cecila Saurez choice of accent for Paulina definitely is a treat itself that has the perfect comedic timing and tone. Cant wait for season 2!!!
