idk where to find the "how do you know you're in too deep" image but for air crash investigation (the show angle) it's recognizing which other episodes a certain actor is from and making MVs from the re-enactment scenes

Air Crash Investigation: *reenactments of pilots and flight attendants rescuing passengers from air disasters*
Air Crash Investigation: “Four countries worked together to find out what happened to this plane”
Air Crash Investigation: “Investigators went into extremely inhospitable terrain/a fucking WAR ZONE to retrieve the wreckage”
Air Crash Investigation: “Investigators did something for the families of the victims to give them closure”
This fucking plane crash show has done more to heal my CPTSD-induced distrust in people than every “um sweaty you can’t just isolate yourself” post on Tumblr dot com.

Scariest fucking coincidence of my life was one hour ago when I decided to watch an episode of Air Crash Investigation while waiting in line at the airport and it turns out the plane of the episode I randomly selected was going to the exact same destination as the plane I'm about to board 💀

How to (more or less) survive a plane crash
Tumblr media
I used to be rather horrified of heights, let alone flights, but after binging some 15 seasons of Air Crash Investigation, a staple on National Geographic Channel in Europe for 2 decades now and running, I've learned some tricks in regards to what passengers can do to given themselves a fair chance:
Wear a bicycle helmet, skateboard helmet or similar. This is because the default "Brace!" position is complete rubbish and doesn't help on anything at all, in part as the head isn't really any protected during a brace either.
If the plane is obviously having a hard time (e.g. strange changes or drops in altitude, or outright plunges), and the plane appears to be below 2,000m (Let's say 7,500ft, flight level 075), screw the whole "Airplane mode" rules, see if your phone can get contact with whichever base station below, and try your luck to call 112/911.
Check what the weather conditions at the arrival airport are. If the phone app(s) reports at least 3 of 4 among the following: overly thick clouds, thick fog, nighttime, or heavy thunder; be prepared for problems, or even consider a different flight if you can afford so.
It is not only very possible, but potentially required, to keep an eye on listed emergency exits that are not the main front exit. Keep an eye during takeoff for alternate exits with signs, or even windows designated as alternate exits with a small hammer to smash.
No need to bring your hand luggage on your way out, and most passengers only bring jackets and maybe a hot dog in the top shelf anyway. In a worst case scenario, people lifting the shelf to take their jackets with them, can be considered culprits for delaying evacuations.

side effect #12 of watching too much Air Crash Investigation and related plane youtubers: thinking "hmm should I learn to fly a plane" and then realizing that "argumentative af" is one of the worst personality types for a pilot

Another two down: a P-63 “Kingcobra” collided with the B-17 Texas Raiders at an air event in Texas.  Both were part of the Commemorative Air Force unit based near Houston, TX.

Debris from two planes that crashed during an airshow at Dallas Executive Airport are shown in Dallas on Saturday.  LM Otero/AP
Wings Over Dallas, a Commemorative Air Force airshow for the Veteran’s Day weekend was the site of the crash.  The P-63 apparently sliced through the midsection of the B-17, causing both to crash.  There were no paying passengers on board, only the flight crews.  While the Kingcobra carried a single pilot, the Raiders had a compliment of 5; all six were killed.
