note- this is the complete opposite of the rafe ive been writing about LMAOOO.. this man is SO BAD help me

it was 2am and you were in your bedroom scrolling on your phone, a random netflix show playing in the background. you've been waiting for your husband to get home for hours, being the wife to the chief of police did have its negatives. this was one of them.

you heard footsteps walking up the stairs and immediately turned off your phone, throwing the covers over yourself you pretend to be asleep. the door opens and you feel the weight of the bed shift.

"hey baby. sorry for getting home so late" rafe says giving your forehead a kiss, you jokingly ignore him.

"c'mon now i know youre awake.. get up and hold me." he begged tiredly, you couldnt help but giggle at how desperate he sounded.

"fine." you mumbled into the sheets but stayed in your position, he hugs you putting all of his weight on your body.

"okay okayy, i got it. now get off me you fatty." you whined, pushing his large frame off of you. you leaned against the bed frame and opened your arms, the both of you adjusting to a more comfortable position. which was the both of you propped up against a pillow.

"im so tired." he yawns into your chest, you played with his hair as the both of you stayed in silence.

"i know you are, you need a day off. youve been working too hard." validating him, his hand plays with the ribbon of your pajama shorts.

"see? youre still in your uniform, youre gonna make the bed dirty." you patted his back and drew circles on it.

"what, you want me take it off? if you wanted to see me naked you couldve asked sweetheart." he looked up at you and smirked. you glared at him, lightly slapping his arm.

"not what i meant.." you blushed.

"youre so cute you know that rafey, honestly when i look at you i just want to eat you." you confessed and massaged his temples, his face nuzzles into your chest even further. clearly he was blushing as well.

"i dont know how i got so lucky, im so glad i have a such a beautiful boy in my life. everything about you is just perfect." you cooed admiring his sculpted face, the way his plump lips curled into a smile.

"stopppp" he whined. you couldnt help but pull out your phone and take a picture. because if you didnt, who wouldve believe that your 6'2 husband loved to be babied like this? not like you were going to show anyone, its just for your eyes only. you wanted to cherish this moment forever.

"did you just take a picture?"

"let me see it." he shot up and reached for your phone. you put your phone under your pillow and laid on it, making sure he wasnt able to grab it. the two of you started play fighting.

"nooo please, you look so cute. let me keep it!!" you laughed, he started to tickle you. and you slowly started to fall off the bed. your legs wrapped around his waist and dragged him down, if you were gonna fall he was going to come down with you.

the laughing coming from you both died down and you looked up at him, what a funny position. you both were on the floor and he was in between your legs hovering over you.

rafe leaned downed and passionately kissed your lips, his hand starts to play with your shorts. you eventually pull away and slap his hand.

"nuh uh. go shower first. you stink." you got up to your feet then helped your boyfriend get up as well. you looked up at rafe with your head tilted, what was this man plotting?

"not unless you join me.. you cant say no" he quickly said and grabbed you by the waist. hoisting you over his shoulder and carrying you to the master bathroom.

"ahhh! rafe stop!!" you busted out laughing, kicking your feet as he practically dragged you to the shower. he put you down and turned on the warm water, it poured over you both. you furrowed your eyebrows.

"great now my clothes are all wet." you pouted crossing your arms over your now soaked tank top.

"more reason to take it off... lift your arms f'me"

its been three weeks since you agreed to meet the pogues, and it was the best decision you've ever made. although your crush on jj has only grown since that evening in the ocean, you'd say you were hiding it pretty well... right?

you were working behind the counter at your shop when you hear someone walk in, you look up to see who it is, and you're a little surprised, normally your customers aren't wearing button downs and slacks. you see the very well dressed man walk up to you when jj steps in front of the counter, blocking him from you, "what do you want, rafe" jj says, his voice laced with venom. "just trying to support your little business, pogue" the man, who now you know name's rafe, says. you were taken aback from the sudden aggression from the two "umm do you need any help, sir?" you ask, quietly.

rafe smiles at you, before talking "yes, i was wondering if you were free after work" he says, steping around jj. "oh um i'-" you start to answer before getting cut off "no. shes busy, with me." jj says to rafe as you stand there, feeling embarrassed, and confused, by whats going on. suddenly jj walks around the counter to you and wraps an arm around you waist. "sorry, man. shes taken" jj says, with a smug smirk on his face. rafe scowls at jj and then walks away.

"sorry about him" jj says after he leaves. "oh- no its umm, its fine" you say, flustered. "i- i"ll be right back" you say before quickly walking to the bathroom to calm down. i mean, for fucks sake your crush just wrapped his arm around you and called you "his" obviously you were feeling things. when you come back out jj is waiting for you “hey i’m sorry it i made you uncomfortable by calling you mine and all that… rafe’s just- not the kind of guy you wanna date.” jj explains. ‘its fine, i liked it anyway’ you thought, “oh its- its fine. thanks for uh.. helping me get rid of him” you say with a soft smile “yeah, yeah of course” jj says with a smile before getting back to work.

you two finish your day up and go to the chateau, but your mind was still on what happened earlier. you were all sitting around a fire, drinking when someone got the idea to play truth or dare, "jj, truth or dare?" kiara says. "dare, obviously" jj says, taking a sip of beer "i dare you to chug that" kiara says smiling. jj chugs the remains of his beer before talking "boom! y/n, truth or dare?" he says, grabbing another beer. "uhh... truth" you say, scared of what his dare would be. "do you have a crush on me?" jj says, voice not even wavering. your whole world stops. how did he know? you thought you were hiding it so well. "uhh..." you say, trailing off. your brain couldn't process what he just said. "well? do you?" pope says. when you hear this you look around, all of the boys had a knowing smile on their faces. you realize it doesn't matter what you say, they know. fuck. how do they know? "um, yes i- uhm, i do" you say, hands shaking. before anyone can get another word in you talk again "do you like me?" you say, deciding to just fuck it. say whatever you were thinking, even if you regret it. "i do" you hear him say. wait, did he just say he likes me? "wait, what?" you say. snapping your head to him, eyes wide as saucers. "i said i like you, y/n" he says again, confirming you weren't crazy. "i like you, like.. a lot. and seeing rafe hit on you earlier i just- fuck. i cant lose you to someone else." he confesses. "i... i dont want to be someone else's. i want to be yours." you admit. "y/n, do you wanna go on a date tomorrow?" he asks, smiling. "i would love that" you say, blushing.

One lazy Saturday, you were walking past the doors of a shelter. Both of you admitted that if you were going to get a pet, it would be a rescue, giving the chance for an animal to live the American dream (two adults with good salaries, a pretty house, and no kids) after someone had made them believe they were trash. Both of you talked to the receptionist, who said that soon she would walk both of you to the dog’s department to choose. But when the guide came back and you were ready to go in and check out the puppies with your boyfriend, he was nowhere to be found.

Quickly, you followed the sound of people talking, and there he was, talking to a vet at the cat’s side of the shelter. The vet seemed to be deeply engrossed in conversation with him as you reached his side.

The first sign of her enjoying being a spoiled princess was during her first visit to the vet after her adoption, when the instructions were to reduce her food rations because she was already a bit too chubby.

“Shhh, don’t listen to the vet. You’re perfect,” you heard Levi whispering as he rocked her in his arms in the kitchen. “Here, have some ham.”

She was obsessed with him, and he was obsessed with her. Did Levi complain about the hair? A lot, but at least he took the effort to vacuum and brush her himself. In his own words, “If I can make her life worth it for even a little bit at the end of it, then I’ll do it.”

i feel an unbelievable amount of gratitude for the opportunity to have made this album. writing this record allowed me to grow up in ways i needed to. it forced me to reflect and be accountable. it allowed me to walk away from versions of myself that i no longer recognize. it allowed me to let go.

also a big shoutout to my sister thats not blood, storm. shes one of the few people in this world capable of making others feel safe to their core when they are exploring the parts of themselves that are most raw. storm is rare and generous. im so glad you are my roommate, but fuck the canes btw!! ;)

adelaide just parked her car, grabbing her bags from her car. she took in her surroundings, taking a deep breath in and out. the hughes hunter lake house was always her favorite place to be. something about this time seems different. the blonde let go of the negative energy before walking to the door. she opened the door, backing up feeling the door handle opening up from the inside.

“oh. hey adelaide. thought u were the pizza guy.” the youngest hughes brother was standing at the door, causing adelaide to go mute. “QUINN MOVE! IM TRYING TO GET TO THE DOOR. the hunter siblings went downstairs sitting at the bar with the hughes brothers already digging into the pizza. “so della how excited are you for your album and song release?” the oldest hughes brother asked, causing luke to feel smaller and tense. he was there when adelaide was writing the music, she told him about some of the songs. but once they brought up, luke knew she had to have some gut wrenching song written about him. sure he was nervous, but he would always be proud of her for any and all of her accomplishments.

“oh! im so excited, but nervous. it does feel good to have it released out to the world instead of being stuck inside with just me.” she said looking over at luke whos head was low, then brought her attention to grabbing some pizza. “so “where do we go now?”whats that gonna be about?” jack asked knowing most of her songs had meaning, jack always adored adds music he has to be her biggest supporter. “its basically me reflecting back on all the little white lies in a one-sided love that beamed as bright red flags, finally leading to ending things. and the question of where they should go, start afresh or not, looms over this delicate ballad, though remains unanswered.” she said causing luke to look up and then quickly brought his head down. “oh well i cant wait to hear it! any songs about our good man luke here?” jack asked causing luke to look up and glare at the older boy. adelaids face flushed, “you dont need to answer that a. jack is just picking.” caleb said sending the boy a wtf look.
