synopsis

easton is your regular fifteen-year-old boy, but he’s always felt like he was destined for greatness—like there was some grand adventure for him, waiting to be unfolded. like a hero.

this feeling comes to life when he’s suddenly transported to saecularia, an incredible world of magic and fairies and elves. there, he learns he needs to save the endangered land from the regnora eversor, and is the only one who can do so.

he meets aryia, a seemingly emotionless, battle-hardened elf, and wyatt, a bright and optimistic fairy. the trio sets off on a journey across the land to locate the long lost tome, the aeternum—the only thing powerful enough to stop the regnora eversor.

along the way, they meet new people, battle vicious monsters, and travel treacherous landscapes, all the while their group grows ever larger.

but the quest is a ticking time bomb, and easton needs to hurry and find the spellbook before evil takes over all of saecularia. still, something is amiss.

only after too late is the truth revealed.

characters

a young boy who wants nothing more than to be a hero. when he is told of the dire situations in saecularia, he accepts it with open arms, ready to become the world’s saviour.

he has a great sense of righteousness and justice, but coupled with his unmatched recklessness, he often has to be stopped by the others before he gets killed. he is cheerful and energetic by nature, and immediately becomes very close with wyatt.

a dutiful and stoic elf. she comes off as insensitive at first, but once easton gets to know her, he realizes she is very kind and caring.

when easton first meets her, he is enamored by her beauty, but comes to realize she is so much more than that. they become good friends, developing a sibling bond over time. she’s powerful, thoughtful, and could easily take on a horde of goblins by herself.

the most upbeat of the group. he always looks on the bright side of things, and rarely is he ever down. he takes a shine to easton almost right away.

he cares about his friends more than he can handle, and though he’s a cunning mage with some powerful tricks up his sleeve, he’s awkward and a little clumsy. despite all this, there seems to be something heavy in his heart that he can’t quite remove.

a retired dwarf who lives a humble life as an occasional tour guide for those visiting his hometown of Khirrim. when his house is destroyed in an attack, he has no choice but to go with the ones who saved him.

despite his buff stature and awesome axe-wielding skills, vrenht is the wisest and most logical of the group, and always knows what to do. he has a strange attachment to easton, though, as if he already knows him. perhaps he sees something in him...

the sole prince of the dragons. despite this, he’s always felt like he was less important than others. sure, he’s the heir to the throne, but it seems like that’s his only identity and nothing more. he wears ripped and ragged clothes, just to prove he’s more than that, much to his father’s dismay.

getting along with him won’t be too easy at first, but behind that egotistical and sassy facade of his is a caring personality that won’t see his friends get hurt.

a distant and lonely faun. it’s a wonder she even joined the group in the first place—it seems like the only thing keeping her going is her hatred for the regnora eversor. she trains day in and day out, waiting for the day to kill her.

fevira isn’t easily swayed, but a if you get her to smile, you know you’re special. her battle skills are nothing to scoff at, but one would wonder how she got her prosthetic arm.

the regnora eversor | female | ??? | ??? | ???

a mysterious figure seen by very few people. a century ago, she waged war against all of saecularia and has almost taken over the continent. only the fairy kingdom remains standing.

powerful and dark, she has an unknown goal, and will stop at nothing to get it.

Ah, no worries, I love all of these questions, so…

C:What character do you identify with most?Well, taking the two verses where I currently actively write…for Tolkienverse, Galadriel (duh), but also Idril and Eldalóte (well, my headcanons about her, more like); for Potterverse, Fleur.If we’re talking any verse at all, Mr. Darcy.

L:What’s the weirdest AU you’ve ever come up with?Quite a question. I don’t really write AU much (as in proper AU, I’m fine with mere canon divergence), so the weirdest are going to be pretty tame…there was one from Tolkienverse where all the elves were pretty shitty and fucked up people (it had Galadriel/Curufin hatesex in it, so…), and one for ASoIaF where Jeyne Westerling got Talisa’s personality. Both are unfinished and neither is published, though.

N:Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?Like, all the smutty ones, since I’m terrible at writing smut.

O:How do you begin a story–with the plot, or the characters?I think more often it’s the characters? The Nolde definitely started with my interest in Galadriel, obviously. Family Ties is more complicated, since it was the idea of “someone else takes Harry from the Dursleys,” but I think that that someone else would be a responsible Ravenclaw relative was pretty clear from the start, so…and the other long HP fics I have also started with characters.

P:Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)The architectiest architect to ever architect. Or rather, when I originally get an idea, I often write quite a lot spontaneously in one go without a plan, but moving on, I have plans. And tables. Lots of tables. And an account at familyecho mapping out my fanfic family trees. I cannot write a long story without an excel file with at least eight lists detailing different character backgrounds. I know the parentage of every student in Harry’s year, their best friends, what social class they come from. I know how many subject did each of the Noldorin kings have. Seriously, I have lots of tables. (That¨s not so say seeds of new plotpoints don’t sometimes spontaneously appear as I write, though. They keep doing that.)

S:Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?Enemies to friends (to lovers). Any iteration for that I’m a complete sucker for. Also the “secret prince/other powerful person”, Aegon (Egg, not fAegon) style. And seemingly unrequited pining. (Not that I write any of this much. I guess the last one is in my Star Trek fic, a little…)

T:Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?Mpreg, and I’m not much into Omegaverse. Oh any any daughters of Voldemort who are sooo dark, of course. Generally I can’t deal with blatant unexplained OOC.

V:A secondary (or underrated) character you want to see more of in fic?Regulus Black! Also Narcissa, and any and all Ravenclaws except Luna (sorry). Oh and Fleur, absolutely. Bill is pretty cool too. And Kingsley. There’s a lot, ok? In Tolkienverse, I have to say all the ladies, especially Anaire. And Edrahil (plus the rest of those who went with Finrod, whoever they were).

Z:Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?Well, I write Tolkienverse, so…yeah, I write it all the time (and read, too), and I hate is with a passion. It’s so emotionally exhausting to write I will procrastinate a lot to avoid it. So basically, I can’t tolerate the death of any character that doesn’t die in canon - I always feel like, well if it¨s in canon nothing can be done about it, but why did you have to kill this poor innocent soul, eh? Why??
