Laverna = Laverna is the Roman Goddess of thieves, Who hears the prayers of robbers. The Porta Lavernalis (Lavernal Gate) on the Aventine Hill was named for Her, and She had an altar nearby. She also had a sacred grove on the Via Saleria, a famous ancient highway that went crosswise across the calf of the boot of Italy, beginning in Rome, following the River Tiber for a ways, then crossing the Apennine Mountains to the Adriatic Sea. Perhaps originally an Underworld Goddess of the Etruscans, Laverna became Goddess of thieves because thieves operate in darkness. Her name is said to derive either from the Latin latere ("to lurk"), levare ("to relieve, lessen or lighten," something pickpockets certainly do) or levator ("a thief").        it’s a red-hot florida summer, tide low, coast sandy, and the temperature’s already pushing ninety. saturday was meant to be her day of rest and relaxation in a rare week off from the yachting season, but so far all she seems to do is pick up the slack left by her brothers. she should be out in the van, tearing down the highway with dolly blaring from her tinny speaker, flowers in her hair and incense hanging from the mirror. she could even be tanning on an aft deck off the adriatic coast right now, a shammy in her hand and the sun on her back, had she booked on for another week of work rather than taking a so-called ‘holiday’. instead, she’s trapped inside uncle joe’s crab shack covering for leo while he plays hooky to nail some chick from arizona, because technically she owes him one, and when a castro makes a promise they take that shit to their grave. but fuck if she doesn’t wish she were someone else right now. take that cute curly-haired chick with the killer smile, for example — probably a holiday maker, sat with a bunch of other fresh faces, laughing at kai who runs the whiskey cove paddle board tours — looks like she’s having the time of her life, a stress-free existence, where all she probably has to worry about is what colour bikini to wear and whether or not she’s gonna let kai get the home run tonight. why do girls like that always end up with douchebags like kai. it’s fucking unfair. still, frankie’s trying to be a force of positivity, live laugh love in the moment and remind herself of everything there is to be grateful for, but it’s hard when it’s hot enough that it feels like sweat drips from the ceiling like stalactites, and her supposed ‘break’ has been pushed back so many times that she’ll likely have to go without. whatever. four’s only like, an hour away. she can manage ‘til then.
can you check on table fifteen, it’s the big one with the out-of-townies, kelly’s asking her, loading frankie with another two plates before she can leave the kitchen, wince bitten in by her teeth. feels like being a stewardess all over again, but there’s a reason she’d made the switch to deck crew. she’s not good at saving face and sucking back how she really feels when faced with opposition. she can’t just lie back and think of england, never had a mother who stuck around long enough to teach her the secret handshake that held the code to being a girl.  “ can’t you just get bodhi to do it ?  i’m already covering, like, five tables, and those guys look super picky. ”  kai’s always asking for like, the weirdest thing on the menu, and then adding on a load of vegan, gluten-free, soy-free extras, as if he wants you to fuck up his order so he can write you a bad review on tripadvisor. the only thing worse than working when you’re supposed to be on holiday is serving people your age who are actually out having fun.  “ fine, whatever. i can get their drinks orders. but then i gotta take my fifteen minutes. let me just run these lobsters over to table twelve. ”
somewhere in the short commute, the instructions get lost in translation, frankie instead standing before the HBO remake of forgetting sarah marshall at table fifteen, all of them fresh from the surf and smelling of saltwater.  “ two surf ‘n’ turfs ? ”  frankie asks, ignored at first, then clears her throat, asks for the second time, cutting through the conversation a little more coarsely.   “ anybody order these surf ‘n’ turfs ? ”   these plates are fucking hot. her eyes are kinda pleading with the curly girl on the end, and it’s only when she feels a tap against her back and a child’s voice that says, uh, i think those are ours...  that frankie realises her mistake.  “ balls. ”  embarrassed, she whips around on her heel with such a voracity that there’s no time to slow her roll, and there’s a body where an empty space is meant to be, an edgar wright smash cut to something wholly unexpected, like that scene where regina gets totalled by a bus. she smacks straight into bodhi, now outfitted in the contents of his two seafood platters, her own spread of steak and lobster flying into the customer behind her’s lap, too startled to even hear the gasps of the hawaii five-o extras or the kid that’s covered in chowder. prawns hanging from her uniform, frankie turns back to the to the customer ; a lobster now sits like a cat in her lap and beef dripping clings to her shirt.  “ holy fuck... i am so sorry. like, you have no idea. ”  kelly’s gonna put her fucking head on a roasted halloumi and vegetable skewer. cautiously, frankie plucks the lobster from her lap. in her head, he grows an animated mouth, tells her cheer up, kid, it might never happen. well it fucking has happened. the most ridiculing moment of her life, thus far.  “ please don’t tell my boss, i’m not even meant to be working today, i’m just covering for my stupid... jesus, why am i saying this ? you don’t care about my idiot brother. ”  foot in mouth disease. sighing, frankie drops down, and begins plucking the fragments of plate from the floor where the sad steak sits in a pool of it’s own trimmings.  “ um, i can like... cover your meal ? ”  she says, her eyes scanning back up to the surfer chick covered in surf ‘n’ turf, the full florida experience.  “ or your drinks, if you’re just drinking. ” though it’ll probably cost her the entire day’s pay check with the shit they’ve been drinking. it’s like margaritaville on crack.  “ look... can you just... tell me how i can make this up to you ?  because if i don’t then i’m not gonna sleep tonight. i’ll just keep seeing your face and bolting upright in bed like that rigged little dummy kid in monsters university, y’know. ”

Krk Island and on to Pag
We started the day with a short ferry ride to Krk Island. The forecast was terrible but the day started with sunshine.
We stopped at Basca Beach, the most famous beach in Croatia. It is long but narrow. The shore is the usual limestone gravel, but we hear there is sand to be found in the water. When we arrived, there was a strong westerly wind and dark clouds…less than perfect beach weather (although many of the beach goers had not given up).
We hiked up from the beach, along the cliffs, to a peak with views of the Goli islands. The Goli are the islands to which Tito banished his opponents. The terrain here is stark and rocky. The name Goli means “naked”. Banishment there would have been unpleasant, despite the lovely views of the Adriatic! As we reached the peak, while the wind howled, the skies opened and we were pelted with rain and hail….for about 5 minutes. Not bad. We made our way down and had a quick, late pizza lunch.
Our afternoon ride took us over a bridge back to the mainland and a scenic drive down the Adriatic Highway to our next ferry.
Tonight we are on Pag Island in the town of Novalja. The Hotel Boskinac is both hotel and vineyard. It is the fanciest stop we make on this tour. We had a wine tasting followed by a dinner by their Michelin starred chef. A good thunderstorm is rolling through now as we settle in for the night.
There was a lot of driving today. We had a nice hike but it was not quite enough to offset the time spent on the road. Tomorrow is a day on Pag. We will be happy to sleep in and have a more relaxed day.

I am trying to make Miroslav Aleksic the president. : There is tons of material. If all this is not enough for you, then we don't need to talk any further, all this is taking up a lot of my time and I don't have any reaction from your side. It was my pleasure. I wouldn't endanger our lives anymore. Jill STARR: OK I am here whenever these things dont happen overnight my friend. The contract for this section, worth 158 million euros, was signed six days before the start of the works by the then Minister of Construction, Zorana Mihajlović, with the director of the Chinese company Shandong (Shandong Foreign Economic & Technical Cooperation Ltd).
The largest part of the work is financed by a loan from Exim Bank, amounting to 134.3 million euros.
On the construction of the road from Iverk to Lajkovac, the Chinese company proposed in the summer of 2022 that its subcontractor be a company that was put on the American blacklist a few months earlier, Novi Pazar-put.
In June 2022, the public company "Roads of Serbia" gave consent for Novi Pazar-put to be engaged as a subcontractor for the construction of asphalt, with the explanation that it meets the conditions.
After that, the consent went to a higher instance, the Ministry of Construction, which gave them the final permission in September 2022.
🖼 Photo Jill STARR: Remember when you ask a country to overthrow a government they want lots of proof and I think you gave it to them things take time thought there is lots of beaucracy we only told them two days ago Dusko DUXXX Tripl X: Former Minister of Construction Zorana Mihajlović (first from left), head of Shandong company Zhang Jianchao, Chinese ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić at the opening of works on the Iverak-Lajkovac road, June 2020. Jill STARR: Look you are doing the right thing we only dropped all of this on MI6 two days ago we need to give them a week or so On the same construction site, before the introduction of sanctions, there was another company of Veselinović and Radoičić, Inkop from Ćuprije.
At that time, Inkop was part of the NCI consortium, which also includes Nukleus from Lazarevac and C&LC from Belgrade.
In October 2020, the public company "Roads of Serbia" agreed with the Chinese company's proposal to award the work to the consortium.
On the section from Iverk to Lajkovac, among other things, they were entrusted with preparatory and earthworks, drainage and drainage, regulation of watercourses and arrangement of green areas.
: Case 3: Gravel from the Slovac quarry for the section Preljina - Požega
International Corridor 11, which should connect Serbia with the Adriatic Sea, was presented as a key project that the country has been building for more than a decade.
The construction of the highway to Montenegro, 269 kilometers long, is divided into stages.
The section in the west of Serbia, from Preljina to Požega, is being built by the Chinese company China Communications Construction Company Ltd (CCCC).
Jill STARR: Well it seems Vucic is certainly getting richer than Donald Trump! If the Vesti in Serbia were to print all this they would h elp you revolt they are starving CCCC got the job, worth 450 million euros, through a direct agreement with the state. In order for Serbia to secure money for the construction of the road, it borrowed money from the Chinese Exim Bank.
The Chinese company CCCC, by the way, was on the World Bank's blacklist due to suspicions of corruption and environmental destruction in the Philippines and other countries where they had projects. The USA blacklisted this company in 2020.
In Serbia, the Chinese firm CCCC faced accusations of endangering the environment during road construction, but the case was not resolved.

"To the south the hills surrender to flatland, to the magnitude of the sky, the openness of the sea. Giant cornfields, industrial strips, highways, gravel quarries at the rivers emptying into the Adriatic Sea, Piave, Tagliamento, Isonzo, each river carrying off its part of the Alps, dolomite metamorphic rocks, pre-alpine conglomerates, the Isonzo's karstic limestone, whose dazzling white colour people still attribute to the many bones of the soldiers fallen in the Battles of Isonzo. On clear days one can see from the hillcrests all the way to the sea, to the Grado Lagoon with dabs of island bushes, to the chiseled hotels of resort towns, like sharp, uneven teeth on the horizon."

X Agosto and the unsolved murder that haunted one of the most beloved Italian poet
A quaint mosaic marks the spot where Ruggero Pascoli was killed in 1867, shaping his son Giovanni’s prolific art.
In the countryside of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, About 20 km from the Adriatic Sea, near the town of Cesena, a mosaic horse marks an unsolved 19th-century murder. The artwork, made from enameled Venetian glass pieces, stands near a narrow rural road which runs right alongside the highway that cuts through a patchwork of tilled farmland, auto wrecking yards, industrial chicken hatcheries, and…

Join us as we investigate Mljet, its transportation, attractions, and cuisine. In other words, today is going to be jam-packed with incredible opportunities. And with that, I hereby beckon you to join me on the ideal private day trip to Mljet private tours!
Tumblr media
Transportation Means
Visiting Mljet is easier than you would think. The most common port of entry is Dubrovnik, and from there, tourists have a few options. Beautiful coastal landscape makes private boat tours a popular activity. From Dubrovnik's Grue Harbor, a ferry will take you directly to Mljet's Sobra and Polae islands.
If you want a more adventurous vacation, you should rent a car and drive along the beautiful coastline highway. The journey takes two hours and passes through beautiful countryside and along the Adriatic Sea.
The best airport to travel into for access to Mljet is Dubrovnik. You may catch a ferry or a cab from that terminal. If you're pressed for time, this is a fantastic option that will help you out.
No matter how long or tough the trip, you will be glad you made it to this stunning island. Kick back and relax on the way to the private island of Mljet for a day of adventure.
Symbolic Elements
What should I see on a day excursion to Mljet by myself? The island's rich history and beautiful scenery will leave you spellbound. Visit Mljet National Park on your next trip to Croatia to see stunning natural features like lush forests, glistening lakes, and a rugged shoreline.
The Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) is a beautiful, peaceful place to start your journey. Taking a stroll down the shore or out on the water in a rented kayak is the best way to take in the tranquility of this stunning setting.
Malo Jezero (Small Lake) is up next; it's connected to the main lake only by a narrow strip of land. Take in the stunning scenery of lush foliage as you wind your way over its winding trails. Don't forget your camera; there are picture-perfect opportunities around every corner!
Those with an interest in history will enjoy seeing the remains of a Roman palace not far from the town of Polae. Wandering among these ancient relics is like taking a trip back in time.
What then shall we do?
What should one do when spending the day in Mljet? Fortunately, this beautiful island in Croatia is home to a wide variety of stimulating options.
Visit Mljet National Park and take in the stunning views. Rent bicycles and pedal leisurely around the island's beautiful pine groves to get a feel for the island at your own pace. The saltwater lakes of Veliko and Malo Jezero are great for swimming, canoeing, or just lounging on the shore with a picnic.
Mljet has stunning waters ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving if you're in the mood for some adventure. Dive deep into the ocean and discover the incredible cave systems and marine creatures that lie in wait.
If history is more your thing than mythology, you shouldn't miss Odysseus' Cave, a mythologically significant old grotto. Explore its hidden chambers and believe you're Odysseus on a journey of epic proportions.
Visit one of Mljet's charming coastal eateries for a sample of the local cuisine and culture. Fresh fish and local wines will take your taste buds on a journey of pure pleasure.
Relax on the calm beachfront of the island as the sun goes down. Enjoy beverages while watching the sky turn a rainbow of hues during your exclusive boat tour.
The Best Places to Eat and Drink
Enjoy a private day trip to Mljet and dine at your pick of several excellent establishments. There are a number of charming restaurants and cafes on the island, each serving delicious food and refreshing drinks.
The menu at this little restaurant features a variety of dishes made using fresh, regional ingredients. Everything from the grilled fish to the octopus salad at Konoba Ankora is bursting with flavors of the Adriatic.
At Konoba Ko
bila, you'll find a more laid-back atmosphere than at the neighboring bars. This family-run restaurant serves traditional Croatian cuisine and is conveniently located near Polae Bay. Their signature meal is lamb grilled in a wrought-iron pinnacle and accompanied with fresh veggies.
If you're a foodie searching for an unforgettable experience, a trip to the Mljet National Park restaurant Restaurant Odisej is a must. This restaurant, set in a scenic location by a chain of lakes, features a menu that emphasizes local ingredients prepared in a Mediterranean style.
Tourists on Mljet can rest in one of the island's charming cafes or pubs after a filling meal. In Sobra, you may unwind with a beverage at Cafe Bar Melita while taking in the breathtaking ocean views. Cafe Bar Marinero is a less formal choice, where you may unwind with a cup of coffee or a glass of local wine.
Private tours to Mljet can guarantee a tasty supper for their guests because the island's food is so varied.
Important Stuff
I'm planning a day trip to Mljet on my own; what should I bring? If you follow this check list, your trip will be less stressful and more fun.
Because the sun's rays can be intense in some locations, it's imperative that you wear sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF). Wearing sunscreen is a requirement if you intend to explore the island and its stunning natural features.
Since you'll be doing a lot of walking (hiking boots, beach sandals, etc.), make sure to bring shoes that can handle a variety of terrains and conditions. You don't want to have your trip ruined by foot pain, do you?
Because the water near Mljet is so clean, swimming is a must, so don't forget to pack your suit and towel. If you feel like cooling off in the water, bring your swimwear and a small towel.
Water and snacks: While the island does have a few places to dine, those who plan to spend the majority of their time outdoors should probably pack their own provisions.
Use your phone or camera to snap some pictures of the stunning surroundings. Whether you're in front of breathtaking landscape or interacting with fascinating wildlife, recording the experience with a camera or smartphone can ensure that you never forget it.
Tumblr media
Private Island Vacation Planning Tips
Creating a strategy is the initial stage. A well-laid strategy is required before embarking on a solo day trip to Mljet. Do some homework ahead of time to figure out where you want to go and what you want to do when you get there.
Take in Mljet's top attractions and insider knowledge like a local by signing up for a Guided tour Mljet. Get to know the island's history, culture, and stunning landscapes better with the assistance of a knowledgeable local tour.
Third, carefully pack all of the items you'll need for the day trip. Bring sun protection supplies including sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, walking shoes, swimwear, and towels to Mljet's magnificent beaches and nature trails.
You should bring plenty of water with you because the island may get hot and stuffy, especially in the summer.
While visiting Mljet National Park or any of the island's other natural regions, please keep trash to a minimum and stay on designated hiking trails.

Montenegro’s outgoing government on Wednesday confirmed that China Road and Bridge Corporation’s Montenegro Branch is interested in the construction of the Bar Boljare highway’s second and third stretch.
According to a government report published on Wednesday outgoing Finance Minister Aleksandar Damjanovic and CRBC official Hei Shiquiang met on July 3 about potential cooperation on the construction of the second and third phases of the highway.
“The Chinese company recommended that two sections could be built through a private-public partnership model. CRBC has conducted detailed studies, prepared a commercial study, framework conditions, a draft of general conditions, as well as a technical proposal for the next two sections of the highway,” the government report said.
“Funding models through private-public partnerships or otherwise must be carefully considered, taking into account the fact that Montenegro is discussing with different partners, striving to define the most favourable way,” it added.
The Bar-Boljare highway represents the Montenegrin leg of a larger highway that will run from the Adriatic coast to the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
The first 41-kilometer-long phase, which opened last July, was built by CRBC with 85 per cent of the money coming from a $810-million-loan from China’s Exim Bank.
The first phase was due to finish by November 2019. but completion was delayed three times due to technical issues and the COVID-19 pandemic.
On July 20, 2022, the Ministry for Capital Investments said the 23.5-kilometers-long second phase, running from Matesevo to Andrijevica, would likely cost some 552 million euros, adding that it was negotiating with European banks for financing.
But on Wednesday the Ministry’s secretary, Admir Sahmanovic, said those negotiations were now on hold due to political instability in the country.
Early elections in Montenegro were held on May 11 but the country is still awaiting confirmation of the official results and negotiations on forming the new government.
“We launched negotiations with international financial institutions and were on our way to receive 200 million euros in grants and a 300-million-euros credit arrangement at a credit rate of 1 per cent. We sent a lot of urgent requests to the European Commission to somehow speed up that procedure,” Sahmanovic said.
Last September, US construction group Bechtel said it was interested in construction of the highway’s second phase.
In previous years the US company was linked with controversial agreements in the Western Balkans, as their projects were granted without a public tender while the final costs of the construction projects were bigger than the originally planned price.

Day Three - Sunday, March 26
Our real vacation was about to begin.  We woke at 7 a.m. and had a great breakfast at our hotel.  Italians love to eat breakfast and it did not disappoint. Laura and I walked around Bologna for a few hours and couldn’t believe how many people were out and about on a Sunday morning.  Apparently there is some type of concert or music festival going on so the town was really crowded.
We found the 2 towers in Bologna which encompass part of the 12 gates of Bologna.  The taller tower is Tower Asinelli and the smaller, but more leaning, tower is the Tower Garisenda.  If you are a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, you would understand the ritual and significance of the two towers in Bologna.  We walked through the Basilica di Santo Stefano, the oldest and most famous church in Bologna.  We finished our walk with our first gelato at Gelateria delle Moline.  It was outstanding.  We watched as the owner was making it fresh for that day.
We checked out of our hotel and got into our rental car, a very nice Mercedes, for our 1 ½ drive to San Marino.
San Marino is one of the smallest Republics in the World.  An actual separate country, with a full government, inside of Italy.  It also holds a special memory for me.  In 1981, as a college student while I was studying abroad in Rome, our group made a stop in San Marino on the way back to Rome from a weekend in Venice.  The one reason for that stop – the President of the school knew that I liked Amaretto and he said they had the best.  I bought that bottle 42 years ago and as we made our way, on the bus, from San Marino to Rome, the bus driver was driving fast and swerving.  I watched in horror as my bottle fell from the overhead bin and came crashing down on the floor of the bus.
It would be 12 years before I was able to taste that Amaretto again.  My then legal secretary, Grace, and her husband, Dave, rented a car in Rome on a business trip and drove to San Marino to buy me a bottle around 1992 (after I told her the story about my experience in 1981).  I slowly sipped that bottle for years.  This was my chance to taste the sweet liquor again.  It was better than I remembered.
Once we arrived in San Marino, we parked and took the cable car up to the town high upon the hill.  The views were incredible.  It was a gorgeous clear day and we could see the Adriatic Sea about 40 miles away. The countryside was spectacular.  It was a little windy and cooler (about 50 degrees) at the top.  We got our passports stamped (it is a thing there), picked up a quick panini sandwich and took the cable car back down.
Next, we drove to our next destination, Assisi.  Our drive down the highway along the Adriatic Sea was gorgeous. We arrived at our Agriturismo called Le Mandrie Di San Paolo.  An Agriturismo in Italy is actually a family farm.  They rent rooms and serve food sourced from their farm.  This home was built over 1,000 years ago.  Le Mandrie also has one of the top restaurants in the area.
We checked in and walked around the property.  We have a great little suite above the restaurant.
We had a fantastic dinner, starting with a selection of locally made cheese and bruschetta, then a fabulous local pasta dish called strangozzi (local large fresh homemade spaghetti) the Mandrianna way (homemade cheese and bacon and fresh eggs), then grilled lamb with roasted local onions in olive oil and finished with crescionda cake,  (a sweet chocolate cake) and homemade vanilla gelato.
We drank their locally made wine which was fantastic when paired with our meal and capped our dessert with two cordials – Danny of course had limoncello with organic lemons and Laura had a digestive with olive leaves and rosemary.  We had over a 2 ½ hour dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our hosts.  The restaurant was not crowded, but manageable.
Ciao.

Book Review: Mapping The Croatian Coast
Mapping The Croatian Coast; A Road Trip to Architectural Legacies of Cold War and Tourism Boom. Edited by Antonia Dika & Bernadette Krejs, Research Unit of Housing and Design, Institute of Architecture and Design, TU Wien & Jovis, 2020

“Come and see the Truth” was one of the first slogans to entice tourists to visit the socialist self-government and non-alined Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In so far predominantly rural area underwent rapid touristic urbanisation of the 6,000 kilometres of coastline along the Adriatic highway, the picturesque coastal road from the 1960s, impressive hotel complexes and secret military posts emerged at the same time in just few years.
Even though the buildings were state owned mostly from trade unions, state administrative unit, south organisation, socialised company, the Yugoslav National Army, social tourism developed where the coastline was defined as common property to which every citizen must have access. Domestic Tourism was a tool for nation-building and reconciliation, enabling the population to discover and learn to respect different cultures in multi-ethic federation. One of the reasons that natural resources and landscape in Croatia have largely been kept intact comparing to Montenegro or Bulgaria. Architects brilliantly understood and support sites of the tourist landscapes, developing new types of tourist resorts for social tourist purposes. For the first time, masses of people were able to visit the coastal towns that were beforehand only accessible by sea with the safety of a car.

After the Holidays After the Fall, Modernism In-between and Dobrović in Dubrovnik, Mapping the Croatian Coast leads through the fascinating architectural heritage from the time of the tourism boom and of the Cold War in Croatia. The authors from the research department of housing and design of TU Vienna outline routes to these hidden architectures, describe their development, their role in the non-aligned state of Yugoslavia, their decline, and their transformation.

The Yugoslavia’s cosmopolitanism also called for luxuriously conference hotels at the coastline to show off international celebrities, politicians and the movie stars hired by Yugoslavia’s blooming film industry. Between Communism and the American Way of Life, international guests were invited to enjoy the alternative fruits of Yugoslavia's Third Way in many of solitary high-rise hotels with high standards, glamorous interior design and modern artworks were built near the coastline of the Adriatic Coast.

Due to various aggravating circumstances, the construction of the Hotel Neboder by Josip Pičman, Alfred Albini took more than 10 years.

The Haludovo Palace, an ensemble of various architectural typologies from modern to postmodern as a new tendency in the region's tourism architecture.
Tumblr media
Pelegrin hotel’s architecture drew considerable acclaim in the 1960s new tendencies, defined by a certain detachment from the tradition of modernism.

Motel Trogir is an exception to the typology of Adriatic tourism, and it is argued that the idea of such buildings in the Yugoslav socialist society came through American movies.
Instead of peaceful transformation from Yugoslavia’s Third Way economy to pure market capitalism, the Federation was shattered by nationalist aspirations, and years of warfare and ethnic cleansing, starting during the summer of 1991. A few hotels suffered from attacks during the war and almost 80% of them were used to accommodate war refugees. Within eight removable folding maps that examine special phenomena of the coastal area and make the book a practical guide on the journey to the hidden gems of the Croatian Adriatic coast you are almost ready for the journey!
