Honestly I am more active on Instagram now. But I do try include different photos on different platforms. So they are not just a copy of another.

something that dual destinies and justice for all have in common, beyond being ragged on more by the fandom than their surrounding games, is that both of them have a focus on grief much more personal than most of the other ace attorney games. for a series about murders, grief isn’t super frequently discussed, but it’s a major theme in both dual destinies & justice for all, with both games having people motivated primarily by grief to act.
in justice for all, you have franziska, who comes to prosecute against phoenix because she’s lost her brother (and even if she never really believed that he was dead she still lost him). you have phoenix, who spends most of the game grieving him too, to the point where he refuses to talk about him. you have mimi miney, who lost both her sister and her sense of self in that car accident. you have acro and adrian andrews, both driven to vengeance by grief for someone dear to them perceived as being caused by someone else. justice for all especially focuses on the anger associated with grief, and how it often ends up being empty.
in dual destinies, you have athena and aura, both mourning someone who is dead (metis) and someone who is not but is going to be (simon). you have apollo, mourning clay. athena mourns for the person simon used to be, and he tells her blatantly that the person she’s trying to save doesn’t exist. ultimately she and aura both go to great lengths for simon, with athena becoming a lawyer at 18 and aura’s hostage-taking to force a trial. and then there’s the fresher grief of apollo, who just lost an old friend of his and closes himself off from others because of it. dual destinies, when it talks about grief, talks about grief as a driving force, as something that causes people to press on, as opposed to making them stop in place. aura is the most stagnant in her grief, and that’s her downfall.
of course, there are other cases where people are motivated by grief -- godot is the most (in)famous of these examples, but he’s the only one grieving. he’s not moving, not like phoenix and maya do, and that’s the most important point here. ace attorney treats grief as a valid emotion, but not as an excuse for hurting people. the people who lash out in their grief are treated sympathetically but not treated as in the right. grief is powerful, and that power can be used to freeze in place just as much as it can carry one forward.

Rode Magnus today. Honestly, I wish I could say I enjoyed it more but kicking and pulling a resistant horse around kinda goes against everything I stand for as a horse person. Call me soft or whatever but it just didn't feel right to me. I appreciate being given the opportunity and I did enjoy myself more in the moments he was moving forward more willingly, but I'm not sure I want to do it again. Everyone was so excited that I was riding and kept asking how it felt and I can't just say "kinda shitty" lol.

People used to live here...
A short ways off from the stone corral, but out of sight around a rock face and a dip in the landscape, were the remains of a two buildings made of the same stones as the corral. They were both roofless with the walls crumbling. One seemed to be a house with a couple of rooms, the other a low roofed structure, maybe for storage. There’s a dry creek bed near by and a big cotton wood with lush…
