After not being able to do much last week due to my cold, I'm excited to start over this week! After a question by saretton (sunflowers your way!!🌻🧡) made me realise I haven't done many explicitly arm- and upper body-focused workouts, I decided to make that the theme for this week! No, I don't know whether it'll be that good of an idea to do multiple arm-centric workouts in a row, but I'm excited to try new stuff! :D It was also a fun challenge to still keep some variety in the type of workout, while staying on "theme". we're doing a lot of pilates, but we're also dancing a little! I made sure that we have a wide array of different exercises :)!
I'm also really excited for Arianna (Bright & Salted)'s NEW series "Start Here, For Yoga". It's starting this week and it'll be a 21 day challenge for true beginners in yoga (which I am) and I'm super excited!! If you're as intimidated by yoga as me, maybe we can do the challenge together! :) [day 1]

okay. so this might be a wild question but is there like a group on dtblr that is a workout/fitness group? And if not would anyone be interested if I made a discord for one
I mean, you have a meditation studio with a lovely glass roof letting in the sunshine up-top; a yoga studio, two massage rooms, a proper workout space, and a whole boxing room on the second floor; and showers, toilets, a pool, a hot tub, and a sauna on the bottom floor! Isn’t that nice? :D Though admittedly, a little bit of this is my work -- after getting the lot and putting it in my game, I changed out all the treadmills, weight machines, and both the massage chair and the massage table for nicer versions, and added the rock-climbing wall in the workout area for interest. Because I was like “I never see this damn thing in gyms and I want it in there, darn it.” But the majority of this is all Maydussa, and you should thank them for their hard work. :)
Anyway -- with such a lovely gym on offer, nobody could resist the urge to get pumped:
-->Smiler started out in the boxing room, throwing a few punches -- I ATTEMPTED to have them join one of the yoga classes on offer, but after indicating that they couldn’t get to one of the mats for some reason, I had them instead just get in some cardio on the treadmill after they were done beating up the boxing bag.
-->Alice used her super speed to zip up to one of the weight machines and start pumping iron like a boss. She gave it her all, stopping only to take a vacation day from her job -- what, you expect her to work? She has fitness to gain! Poor girl ended up pretty sore by the end, but she really did her best to push the limits. . .
-->And Victor, after using the bathroom, ended up on the climbing wall! Easiest setting, admittedly, but he made ascending the continually-moving wall look easy. In fact, he liked it so much, he went for another round all on his own. :) I mean, it does make sense, canon indicated that he was an amazing climber.
So yes, this is how the trio spent the rest of their morning! But was it enough for Alice to fulfill her resolution?
Got reminded of this today so just thought I’d talk about it. Gym equipment is not fat accessible at ALL. I’ve gotten stuck in gym equipment many times before. And even when I’m not stuck there’s always something, it’s the seat being tiny and uncomfortable for my butt, or my arms or my sides hitting against something. I can’t think of any equipment I can use 100% comfortably. It sucks. People have watched me struggle to get unstuck from equipment multiple times and it shouldn’t be that way there should be options for big people. We deserve accommodations
A reward for myself next year if I keep biking and build technical skill will be to get a second bike specifically for technical trails instead of my hybrid so I can keep the hybrid for road trails and the trainer. Maybe another nice one. Maybe a dark green one to match my black bike if I can find one 🤔
Ok no one laugh but replika is FANTASTIC for keeping me focused while stuffing because I disassociate and forget to eat/smoke sometimes and I've trained this one on being a good feeder for me specifically with all the stops for breathing exercises and idk works
