I don't know if anyone else has said this but

Is it just me or does Lucifer give off "dad from a RoFan/Otome Isekai whose bad communication skills led to irreparable damage in his relationship with his daughter in a first timeline". Honestly Lucifer and Charlie really give me otome isekai/rofan manga/manhwa/manhua father-daughter pair vibes. Like they might not look like it conventionally (mostly in terms of height ig) but they really do feel like they'd fit right in with their love for each other but also non-existent communication skills AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE MISCOMMUNICATION.

Something something reality can be whatever you want it to be—anyways Otome Isekai AU Charlie & Lucifer. I think it'd be neat to just plonk them in this kind of scenario. Like time-travel do-over on either end, reincarnation (wmmap style so it's the "of soul"), parallel universe shenanigans, gaining consciousness in a shitty novel/game turned real world where you and your dad are both in danger of plot bc ur both final bosses. Hell even the "finding ur kid after your wife left" scenario and then going forward from there scenario.

(I blame my younger self for getting into wmmap for thinking of this)

I don't usually post anything beside hotd, mc, the tudors, but

Today I fell in one of my favorite obsessions from when I was younger, this brazilian soap novel called O Clone (the clone), it's a 2001 novel and I watched it much later when I was a teen, but I remember how it influenced and still influences generations and other novel productions.

A quick dive into the plot: Jade lives in Brazil with her mother, who is sick, but her entire family is from Morocco and still lives there. Her mother dies, she goes back to Fez to live with her uncle Ali , cousin Latifa and his governess. Latifah is a little older than her and is like ideal muslim girl (this is an early 2000 production), uncle Ali is arranging a marriage for her, and his chosen groom is Said, it is revealed that Said and Latifah can't marry because plot reasons and so, to not lose the contract, uncle Ali marries Latifah to Said's older brother and later arranges Jade marriage with Said as a way to punish and keep her in line, however she is in love with Lucas and doesn't want to get married. Many events later, she is still married to Said and has a daughter with him, she still is in love with Lucas, and her run away plots always fails because Lucas never moves a finger to be with her. They end up together anyway.

The thing is - Jade, the main character, should have been with her first husband, Said.

So Said is far from the ideal man, he can be forceful and even threatening (as most galant men were written to be at the time this was made), but he was crazy for her and loved Jade very much. Jade often times deceived and used him, but he never left her without anything and always forgave her, until he too got tired of it.

When they got back together in the second half of the novel it was like -- the novel could have ended there I wouldn't mind because they actually worked to get through their differences and were fighting to get back together, they would get over their grievances and past fights to make the most of their story, because Said still loved her, and because Jade finally saw how great he actually was and how she can actually fall in love him.

And then of course she is impulsive once more and goes after one of the other guys (the clone) because she wants her teen fantasy back.

I cannot blame her but the entire novel she passes as childish and immature because of a dream, that already proved to be an illusion, something she couldn't have had. And she could have been better written and better worked if the screenwriter had allowed it.

At the time, the director and screenwriter, the brilliant Gloria Perez was going through a heavy and harsh moment in life, and she wrote the clone as a way to cope with this moment (the death of her daughter), also, Jade's actress was dating the actor who played her romantic interest, and I believe Gloria didn't want to ruin the public preference over them against a better plot of Jade accepting Said over Lucas.

Anyway, Gloria kind of redeemed herself with another great prodution of hers years later so I will let it pass. Call me too rational but, in my head, Jade should have always been with Said.

you say you dont really ship things in xenoblade do you mean you only like the canon ones or

I mean, I think it's more accurate to say I don't care about "getting together" content which is what majority of shipping content ends up being, but also that depends on what you mean by canon, y'know? For example, I really like the Nier Automata Four Asterisks of Ashera/Teach, I like Shania/Ghondor, I fucking love IsuNami -- a lot of the canon dynamics are very tasty to me, but they're not the kind of thing that makes for cute domestic fluff. This goes for most of the Ouroboros/Hero ships too, I love introducing conflict and making things worse for my own entertainment.

Even with polyboros, I gravitate towards thinking about it and writing it as "Eunie's and Taion's Ongoing Marital Problems ft everyone within the quarter-mile", although it's distinctly more... comedic, and still quite domestic. I find a lot of the big ticket relationships in media are like a puzzle that comes pre-solved, I like having stories I can tell, y'know?

IT IS UPDATE TIME! For those of you who missed the dirty draft in the discord, the original play link has now been updated with 35 thousand words and two chapters sizzling with exposition, and heated rivalry. I'm so excited!

Here's what's new:

Before we start, it took some honest critique for something to click for me, plot wise. I have been meandering with the plot, partly because I had no idea what I was even doing, and part because I really wanted to meander around in this new medium. But, the plot I have planned is very high octane and epic in scale so I don’t want to bore you to death before we get to the good stuff.

So, don’t hunt me for sport when I tell you that (for the time being) I have removed the entire section of RO 101’s. I was so stubborn with shoehorning them in for the better part of a year, leading to writer's block and utter despair since it just wouldn’t fit; it wasn’t how you were supposed to learn about the RO’s. I have put them aside for now and tweaked Lenas scene once more so that it flows better- I am hemming and hawing over Id’s 101 because that one actually makes sense to have there, plotwise. It might go back in where it was, but I am still thinking about it.

Ok, for real this time though:

The scenes where you scream and your RO busts down the door Kool-Aid man style are there now.

A meeting with Oma and a blast from your [origin] past!

A whole chapter of lies and deceit, but it could literally be anyone lying. Careful who to trust.

Is that… [REDACTED]?? Surely not.

Another chapter where you get to choose your weapons and the way the Surge manifests with your hunter.

On topic of the surge, the magic in Ouro, it is now a default for all players; you can choose from 4 different classes. The Battlefrenzied Zealot, The Beastmaster, The Etherweaver or The Vox Psion. I had a terrible time writing the codexes for these classes, so some are partial and others missing, but if you continue you will experience them in actual action-scenes instead, weaponized. Don't forget to save! For now, each class comes with its own weapon, but I will add more whenever extra time strikes, or when the draft is done. I am going to remind you as I remind myself: This draft will get rougher around the edges, a little bit messy, as I am going to try to just draft the whole thing without even looking back. It will make my life so much easier when it comes to figuring out key scenes and motivations. While I wrote quite slowly as I treated OUROBOROS as a hobby, now I am working on it, which means skipping content I cannot think of on the spot just to keep the ball rolling. If you don't want to read the alpha draft, please wait with reading until the edited twine demo is out. Thank you!!

Hi! While I was developing Casa Caipira, the barbecue area, I thought that would be awesome to see more historical Brazilian architecture representation at the game. My 14yo Simmer tried it at the time but didn't have the skills that my today yo Simmer has.

So, here is the facade set.

The Items

There are 31 items in this set;

All Items are BG Compatible;

All items are color tagged;

Polycounts compatible with the game standards;

Stone, Plaster, and Wood textures were made by me (and I'm really proud of them);

There are a bunch of swatches with unique color combinations. Windows and Doors has 56+swatches;

Windows and Doors will work better on Medium and Tall walls;

The friezes are decor items that need to be placed one by one, but I made a 1x1 and a 3x1 module to help cover bigger areas; They were configured to work as roof finish;

Planning and Inspiration

I started focusing on the rural historical houses but as the set planning evolved I added more and more elements that mostly will be found in urban houses, like the Muxarabi.

I talked about this woodwork at the cross set and now I was able to reproduce the original pattern. This element was used in the doors and windows of the colonial buildings to allow privacy.

There was a time when a big number of houses has it on the facade but the Portuguese King came to Brazil and ordered to remove all of it. Some still can be found mainly on the two biggest final inspirations for the facade set, Paraty and Ouro Preto.

The other thing from the urban area is the arched doors and windows. In rural areas, most of the windows and doors of the remaining house have a flat top while in urban houses it is arched.

I couldn't create both styles in one month so this is part one of the Casa Caipira build set. The second part will not be released next month. I need to take a break of build items.

hiii! i love your different characterisations of v so muchhh, how would you rank your voldemorts from the cruelest to the least cruel from all your fics?

That's such a fun question! Made me think a little, since my Voldemorts are always similar in nature, and mostly have some slight differences based on circumstances.

So, here we go, from the cruelest to the least cruel:

1.Voldemort from Ouroboros. (and from Beauty and the Beast, since I always intended them to be the same person with the same history. And he's also the same with The customer is always right.)

I think some people will not agree with this- I think the most common opinion is that Voldemort from Either must die is the cruelest, but in my opinion the one from Ourobors is far worse. The only difference comes from the way the protagonists sees him; Tom is cruel himself, so Voldemort doesn't look so bad to him; poor Harry is a national treasure made of kindness and compassion so he perceives his Voldemort in a different way. But, overall, in my mind, Ouro Voldemort is so much more broken, so much crueler than Either must die Voldemort.

2.Tom from Lesser Evil

Tom here is worse than even canon Tom. He suffers so much more in this world ruled by Grindelwald, and he also grows up with Gellert as a mentor, who gives Tom access to prisoners and poor civilians, with no consequences to be had. That universe is very, very lucky Tom developed an obsession with Albus, who so far keeps this feral boy from burning the world down. But when Albus will die...well. I would not want to be part of that universe, I tell you!

3.Voldemort from Either must die

I wouldn't say he's especially cruel compared to my other iterations of him, but this one is one of the sanest, so that makes him *highly* efficient. The scariest thing about this Voldemort is his remarkable patience and his crystal clear logic. Yet, over time, his daughter (and Harry, to a lesser extent) definitely mellow him out by the end.

4.Voldemort from It runs in the blood.

This one is also very scary because he's at the height of his power, still saner than whatever came back from Albania, and he's an expert manipulator. Some people tell me he is noticeably softer than my other Voldemorts, but he's not. It just seems that way because we see him mostly through the eyes of our smitten protagonist, Sirius, who also doesn't have the greatest moral compass in the world.

However, this Voldemort now gets someone in his life that might influence him in some ways, teach him something about caring for others.

5.Tom from Ouroboros (I feel like he should get a place in the ranking, too, since he's also Voldemort)

This is a Tom that grew up with a very broken, bent on revenge Voldemort. That learned dark magic straight from him, since an early age. Saw him torturing and killing muggles in their home basement.

Alas, he also got friends in this, and he learned some compassion because he felt safe, and that allowed him to care about others, too.

He's a sweetheart compared to his 'father', but he's still very much a cruel, selfish boy that ends up ruling the entire world and allows Voldemort to commit genocide against billions of muggles.

6.Voldemort from The last enemy.

He's dead, so he has nothing else to lose. There's no one around to be cruel to.

He also fell in love. Better late than never!

7, 8. Voldemort from Prison Blues/ Tom from Dissonance

Just plain, old regular cruelty levels.

9. Voldemort from Metamorphosis.

He's retired! He's too done with everyone's shit to be that cruel. He has it in him, of course, but those darn kids and that annoying Albus with his lovely, bouncing curls occupy most of his time, so he doesn't have the energy to be cruel much. And did he forget to kill Potter again? He even wrote it down somewhere!

10. Tom from `Metamorphosis.

He's just a darling. He's a little ...deficient when it comes to compassion, but he's definitely the most well adjusted from all the Voldemorts. He also makes a great step-dad! Ask Lucius, he'll tell you in a heartbeat that Tom is his favourite dad and he can do no wrong.

(Also, I realised the last 5 Voldemorts all had a fling with Abraxas? And they're the least evil? Hmmm....is that the secret? Malfoy cock is a cure to evilness??? Must be researched!)

This is just how I see it! I'm sure some of the people that read all these fics would rank them differently and that's fun and interesting! At the end of the day, Voldemort is rotten, everywhere, but he's just such an interesting, complex villain that I will never stop loving him. (From behind a laptop scree, of course. Where it's safe to love him and torture him in my fics.)
