SIMMBA, A TOTAL PACKAGE!!

Simmba is an official adaption of the Telugu film Temper. Dharma production purchased the rights to make a official remake of Temper in Bollywood. Temper was a super-hit movie in Telugu. Jr. NTR portrayed the role in an excellent way. There was no replacement for him for the role. Kajal Aggarwal played the female lead and Prakash Raj was the antagonist of the film. After Dharma purchased the rights to make the film, they revealed that Rohit Shetty will be directing the film. The name 'Rohit Shetty' is enough to predict the film to be total action film with good comedy content. After that they revealed the name of the actor who'll play the male lead. Just when I thought that no-one can replace Jr. NTR, my beliefs were broken to ashes when I got to know that Ranveer will be played the lead. Ranveer is sweet-heart who has the capacity and versatility to essay any role with grace and charm and so did he in Simmba. There was a confusion among the audience as to who will play the female lead between Deepika and Sara Ali Khan. Then it wad finalized that Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan will be playing the female lead. Then, Sonu Sood was roped in to play the Antagonist of the film.

There was a huge risk factor as to deliver the film as a hit as the original version is a blockbuster in the Telugu film industry. But the director did it in a splendid way and the actors played their character to perfection to make this film a Blockbuster in Bollywood. The director was very clear in what he wanted to show. Although it was a remake, the director made major changes in the second half, especially in the climax.

Songs: The movie became a hit as it was a complete package of what the audience want. The action sequence is complete, the drama is complete, the comedy is complete and the songs are also complete. The songs became a huge hit and one song 'Aankh Mare' became the favorite song for every DJ in every party. The love track 'Tere Bin' became a hit among all who like love tracks. The audience went crazy to learn the lyrics of the songs to sing along with the song. The lyrical album of the movie went viral for a while. In all the songs were declared super-hit.

Box Office: Simmba broke the box-office records and made a whooping amount of 327 crores and still counting and was declared an all-time blockbuster. It made an amount of 20 crores on its opening day which just kept on increasing as it made an amount of 23 crores on the second day and a huge amount of 31 crores on the third day. On day 5 it made an amount of 28 crores. Overall It made 252 crores in India till date and 75 crores overseas which makes a total of 327 crores. It ranks 3rd in the list of top grossing movies of the year.

Review: Simmba opened to mixed reviews mostly positive in both critical reception and audience reception. There are goods and bad in every movie but the goods in Simmba clearly outweighs the bad. It was the last release of the year and I must say that it was a happy ending at last. The movie was both a critical and commercial success. Taran Adarsh a famous movie reviewer gave 4 out of 5 stars and said that its a complete package and declared it as a hit.
