I found this old BTS of my Monsters under the bed photo. I used RGB LED panel lights set to blue for the room and then a yellow light through the hole in the floor to draw attention to the portal under the bed.

There are monsters under the bed, and they bring cookies!

Hogwarts Castle micro build set
My castle collection grows! I love the micro build castles, they look great and don’t take up too much space.
My new macro lens is fully manual, which isn’t a huge issue since I shoot manual anyways, but when I pushed the trigger it wouldn’t activate the shutter. 😨 I was panicking because I thought I’d have to return it, but it turns out that there’s a setting to activate the trigger when there’s no lens (or a manual lens it can sense). Whew, I can keep my new shiny lens and I’m thinking of ways I can use it.

Day at the Museum - Part 4
Their first (and last) visit to the museum. 🫣
The dino fossil and display cases came from the Jurassic World Indoraptor set. As you can see, the display cases were too small to photograph the fossil as a room, so I built a room around it.

📷 SEPTEMBER ACTIVITY: “#brickcentral mystery”
The Mystery of the Missing Jewels
For the final reminder for this month’s activity, I have created the classic museum heist: A warning has been sent from museum curators from many parts of the world. Gems in their collections have been verified that they’ve been replaced with fakes, yet no one knows when or by whom they were taken.
At the end of the month, I will pick the winners and select the finalists for the community vote. All entries will be judged based on technical skill and creativity.
📜 RULES:
⚠️ IMPORTANT! Guarantee your entry is seen by posting it on our Discord (link in bio).👈
🗓️ Only new photos, posted September 2023
🔎 The photo must have a Mystery theme
🧟‍♂️ Community rules still apply, excessive violence not allowed. No dead bodies or blood, but Undead detectives are OK.
🔎 Use the hashtag “#brickcentral mystery” on Tumblr
🔎 Multiple entries are allowed
🗓️ Activity ends on September 28th.
I wish you a creative week,

I had fun making this scene. It took many shots to get the liquid soap to dribble just right.

📷 SEPTEMBER ACTIVITY: “#brickcentral mystery”
The Mysterious Ooze
For the second reminder for this month’s activity, I have created a space scene. On a distant space station, a hardworking technician responds to a support ticket about unusual malfunctions in the lighting and ventilation system. She finds strange slime dripping from the electrical system. What could it possibly be?
As you can see I’m doing a crossover genre with mystery and science fiction here. Is the slime from the supernatural? Space aliens? Supernatural-space aliens? Mystery lends itself to many themes, and can make some fun stories.
At the end of the month, I will pick the winners and select the finalists for the community vote. All entries will be judged based on technical skill and creativity.

The LEGO Ideas Viking Village set provided for me by The LEGO Group through @brickcentral. I had a lot of fun shooting this. Getting lights on the inside was challenging because the tower is too skinny to fit a cube light. I ended up using mini wired LED lights all over, which took quite some time.

📷 SEPTEMBER ACTIVITY: “#brickcentral mystery”
Today I give you the first reminder of this month’s theme with The Mystery of the Missing Photographer. On a dark foggy night a photographer was last reported wandering the city streets searching for her next subject. All that was found was her camera and bag, but the photographer herself was nowhere to be seen.
Our September activity is “#brickcentral mystery”, so take out your sleuthing caps and search for clues. There are many ways you can approach this: create a detective or a shadowy suspect, show a clue, have puzzled witnesses, and more! It can be a shadowy noir theme, a humorous puzzler, or a supernatural pirate mystery, etc… surprise me!
At the end of the month, I will pick the winners and select the finalists for the community vote. All entries will be judged based on technical skill and creativity.

Aw, poor sick Dino.
A recreation of the triceratops scene from the original #jurassicpark movie. Ok I’ll admit that I’ve only seen the ones with Jeff Goldblum in it. After humanity survived dinosaurs escaping twice, I felt like humans were obviously due for natural selection 🤷🏻‍♀️. And yet they kept making more and more movies… which I would be rooting for the dinosaurs and sorely disappointed at the ending. I can’t be the only one who roots for the monsters to win right?
