you hummed, smiling a little. “yeah? i’ve been looking at apartments not too far from here for the both of us.”
but kaeya didn’t seem to have heard you properly, already laughing it off nervously. “you’re right maybe it isn’t the right —”
then the hand that was softly stroking up and down your thigh froze as your words finally dawned on him. “w-wait, what?”
“yeah,” you laughed, showing him the list of apartments on your phone. “look, kaeya, this one even allows pets! we can finally adopt the stray dog you always feed near the — babe, are you crying?”
blinking away the tears in his eyes, kaeya couldn’t help but nuzzle his face into the crook of your neck, laughing breathily. “s’just that i’ve been looking at apartments for us too.”
laughing, you pressed a fond kiss to his temple. “you gotta show me the apartments you have in mind so we can look into them soon.”
“later, let me hold you some more, love.” came his response, pressing soft kisses on your neck.
