So you're telling me that when Ellie said:

After shooting the guy that attacked Joel. And when Joel told her to go back behind the wall, she was wiping her tears and was also probably getting flashbacks about having no choice but to shoot someone.

When Ellie and Riley were attacked by an infected person in the mall and they both got bitten. They chose to wait it out and turn together.

But when Riley finally turned and Ellie didn't. Ellie probably had no other choice but to shoot Riley.

And then Ellie got to experience it again with Sam. Losing another friend to the infected.

This time, since Ellie knows she's immune, she cut herself with her knife and rubbed her blood on Sam's bite. Hoping it would work.

"Stay awake with me." "I promise."

The facial expression on Ellie's face when she hugged Sam said: Please, please, please work. I cannot lose another friend. Not again.

But then it happened again.

And Henry had to shoot Sam in front of her.

It was ironic how both Ellie and Henry's first kills were the one person that mattered to them the most.
