So tempted to get Pilotwings Resort if just to have Wuhu Island on my 3ds. Not sure if I want a Wii U just for Wii Fit U (mostly for Wuhu), Smash 4 and Nintendo Land. Then again, the Wii U is backwards compatible with the Wii and I have a lot of games for that...

The Wii Balance Board was a brutal bully

A bully as in, those people from 8th grade who tried throwing you out the window from the 9th floor. Not as in those glorified high school psychos (Let's say, Nagatoro) in weeb animes.

The Balance Board characters begs you repeatedly "Take your daily test! Take your daily test!", and at the same time it flagrantly disregards concepts like daily fluctuations in weight due to water intake and such.

If the weighing detects you as BMI ≥30.0, the games will render your Mii as an almost round blob who are scared of themselves, along with blobby sounds that sound like something that'd accompany a Snorlax.

If, also during the weighing, the board thinks you're leaning too much to the side, the board will essentially treat you as an idiot who can't take care of their body, so good luck if you're among the relatively many people out there who have differing foot heights by even 1mm or so.

It requires you to set a goal for weight loss/gain and a time limit, even if you really don't want to do so, and that you just wanted to have some silly gaming fun. And while demanding the player to set a goal, the board suggests utterly baffling recommended weights; I know I wouldn't want to weigh a meager 61kg.

Also in the same daily test, if the player chooses to do the Daily Test-type minigames, and the player blunder perhaps one of them (Wii Fit U was especially bloody easy to blunder on), then the board will think you're a creaky old 65-year old and also an idiot.

As a result, what was on course to be a very fun minigame collection rivalling even WarioWare, ended up as something that desperately wanted to push players into dehydration, starvation, burnouts, dizziness resulting from all those 3, depression, and a very high sense of futility.
