For those who worship creativity (and not just writing/art!)
About
- the Sollertium [saw-ler-tium]
- huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge
- separate wings for the different departments
- Creators everywhere*
- it’s a riot of colour, honestly
A Quick Introduction
The Sollertium is the Creators’ stronghold, and where get to let their imagination run wild with inventions and designs. Wings are separated into the main departments, and rooms within each wing must adhere to the department assigned to them. The nicest view of the building is from the outside. As all rooms are outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s perfectly normal to find a room covered in swaths of fabric next to one in wood panelling. Sometimes, you’ll find Scholars here. They love adding on to the designs.
Snippet - the Sollertium doesn’t feature much, unfortunately, so here, have another cinema-type thing!
It’s a riot of colour from the outside, with its countless facets and crystal-clear windows. Wings blend into each other seamlessly, with Fashion melting into Interior Design with a few well-placed bolts of fabric. The Sollertium is like a dodecaheron, full of surprises and colour within. There are multiple entrances that lead directly into certain wings, but for the full effect, always go in via the front door. Reception is constantly changing, and is revamped by the different departments each time. You’re always promised a surprise!
Secret
The Fashion wing has a secret passageway that connects to the Palace of Stars’ Tailor Room and some wings have little hidden halls that lead to libraries pertaining to that department in Definity Manor!

*Creators are immortals who dedicate themselves to making things pretty and designing pretty things. Yes, I created a job specifically to make pretty things.

Woohoo, time for another Wb!! Today, you get to explore
About
- Valorian House [vuh-lore-rian]
- big and fancy
- huge huge chandelier in the lobby
- Guardians everywhere*
- also contains law courts
A Quick Introduction
Valorian House is where Training** occurs, and is the Guardians’ stronghold. Here, you can find seven weapons halls, three law courts, and countless training rooms. On any day, Concierge will be manned by the lower-ranking Guardians, and if you’re lucky, you’ll spot higher-ranking ones getting ready to escort their charges for the day out. And if you’re really lucky, you’ll spot the Guardians’ General, Drae.
Snippet [draft.3]
I find Lord Iane Kesler leaning casually against one of many marble pillars in the lobby, inspecting his nails. The latest light installation – a collection of iridescent pearls dangling from strings of various lengths attached to a plate of light in the ceiling – sends showers of light over his artfully styled hair. He’s dressed in an admiral-blue suit, tailored perfectly to his figure. Iane is also the Dome’s most eligible bachelor, as voted by the Districts five years running.
Secret
A well-hidden passageway connects Valorian House to the Palace of Stars. Its location is known to a select few.
-
* Guardians are the soldiers of Luminaire; Elevynne is one of them
** Training refers to the selection course all immortals have to go through to determine which of three occupations they enter

Today we talk about a place you don’t get to see until,,,, idk the second half of the plot ( I hope )?
About
- the Underground
- steampunk vibes, really ( idk why don’t @ me )
- lots of machinery and narrow paths
- pretty cramped, I guess
A Quick Introduction
The Underground is taught about at school, but only mentioned very briefly in passing. This is because no one outside the Dome is supposed to know of it, as it holds one of the most important objects in the world. ( ooo mystery ) Adrian Kylius has old magic charmed to the name, so even if it is mentioned, you’ll only get a vague memory of it and nothing more. The Underground becomes integral to the plot later on in the timeline.
Snippet ( again, no snippet rip meeee )
* PoV of someone :> *
When I pass through the heavy metal doors, I’m greeted by a maze of machinery and helpers rushing about. The pathways are really just narrow plates of metal screwed together, winding around the heavy objects held up by sturdy platforms. I take a hesitant step forward, relief rushing through me when the path doesn’t collapse underneath me. There seems to be more than one level, since through the gaps between the platforms and the path, I can see a glimpse of more activity below me.
Secret
There are more than the four obvious entryways to the Underground, but their locations have long been lost to history.

Wb .1
You’ve encountered CH^2, now meet Wb! Today we will discuss
About
- the Society of Luminaire [loo-me-n-air]
- utopian (sort of)
- tall buildings, city-style
- busy streets and amazing nightlife
- glass and marble
A Quick Introduction
Luminaire does, of course, have a history, which will be explored further in my Prologue (I have a prologue!!). It presides over three Districts - Steorra, Aurora, and Constella. These three Districts all link up to end up at the Lift, which will bring you up the Cliff (made of a really nice fictional rock called luna-marble), and to the Three Courts (more on these in further Wbs).  Every year, Luminaire celebrates the changing of ‘seasons’ from autumn to winter, also known as Afterfall (more on this in a later post). This is basically their version of New Year’s. It’s a special celebration, but will be made even more special this particular year :).
I don’t have a snippet that will show Luminaire’s beauty. So, please accept this offering instead (in a movie, it’d probably look like those scenes where the camera pans across a large area).
Three sprawling Districts, and one luminescent Cliff, towering over the buildings. Many are at least ten stories high, to accommodate the large number of residents in the Society. In Constella, the buildings are more connected, and the streets are really just one continuous zigzagging line. In Steorra, it’s more of a marketplace, with apartments over quaint shops and acclaimed restaurants. In Aurora, you find the most renowned University there is in the entire galaxy - Asteri University (Luminaire), famed for its seemingly endless list of subjects offered that only grow longer every year. Like a small spider climbing a pipe, the Lift’s teal dome can be spotted from anywhere in Luminaire, as long as it’s high enough. All along the Cliffside are two-storey apartments, bestowed upon the favoured immortals of the Society. Up at the top, the cobblestone path splits into four and labelled helpfully - Valorian House, Definity Manor, the Sollertium, and the Palace of Stars, though the last past is chained and guarded around the clock.
Secret
Unfortunately, no secrets apply to the Society as a whole. But rest assured, there will be secrets for individual places!

lmao I still haven’t run out of things to talk about sUrPriSE
About
- Section 002, aka NEPTORRE
- part of the Underground
- also on the first level ( see: JUPIRA )
- in charge of handling food & other necessities
A Quick Introduction
NEPTORRE is in charge of handling food and other perishable necessities for the entire Dome. The Underground is a neutral space, and whatever goes on Above is not of concern to them. Food is transferred from JUPITA to NEPTORRE for labelling and separation into rations for everyone. Those with magic who work in NEPTORRE have an affinity for telekinesis, all the better to lift the large boxes of food.
Snippet ( a slightly different method this time lol )
REVIEWER: Endiron Hendria DATE: c.6 Year 184 Month 2 Day 15 // Season Spring GRADE: AA NOTES: Excellent organisation and running of Section 002. Highly impressed with all workers and operations. Nothing out of place, and cleaning is done every hour for places in use on rotation. CONCLUSION: Deserves AAA but we don’t have that
sample review of a Section check, usually carried out by a Scholar
Secret
There is a lot more than food handling going on here, some of which is not meant for those who live Above.
